Zero times a week. I stopped uploading when I stopped seeing results.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Contributor Portal Updates« on: May 01, 2017, 22:16 »This is great I've been a fan of Fotolia for 10 years with thousands of images. I see the port in my adobe account....but the uploader just does not seem to be working. I can't see my files uploaded and I can't keyword them because they do not upload. I'm uploading the correct file types. I provided an image of my screen. Kind of at a lose....does anyone know how to upload to adobe? Their eps conversion went down a few days ago. I'm not sure what the ETA is on it being back up. Here's the thread: http://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/eps-vector-uploads-temporarily-disabled/msg487310/?topicseen#new 230

I've thought about switching over to PC at some point, but I have all these little scripts and stuff I'd have to figure out on a new platform. I guess if the stock world keeps going like it is, then none of it will matter.

You already make it more difficult to upload by requiring zipped files...now you require a different file format than anyone else. Honestly, I'm not going to go back and resave everything as .ai. It was in a thread. I guess you read it, but here it is again: http://www.microstockgroup.com/software/faster-zip-eps-and-jpg-files/msg467535/#msg467535 232

I already have to make bigger jpegs, so requiring .ai would probably be the end for me. I don't mind the zip thing much. I have a good script for that. 233

I guess that explains my issues this morning. Thanks for letting us know. I guess Adobe uploads are checked off my to do list.

I thought the auto-category was kind of pointless. It's fun to see what it picks, but I usually just end up changing or choosing it anyway. I guess I never reorder my keywords. Didn't realize that was still a thing.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: AI and the end of stock« on: April 13, 2017, 12:58 »
I would think the problem is profitability. The reason to start up an image factory or an elaborate automated process would be money. I might start down this path tomorrow if I thought the money was there, but I'm not really sure it is.

General Stock Discussion / Re: You already know...Getty is kidding us.« on: April 12, 2017, 19:43 »
It is definitely the first time I've ever really felt paranoid that sales aren't being accurately recorded. I'm not really sure what they can do to get that trust back or if there will ever be a clear resolution. I guess this is what happens when you completely destroy the iStock reputation.

General Stock Discussion / Re: I need help launching a new stock site paying 80%+ commission« on: April 01, 2017, 11:33 »
I'm sure there are a lot of photographers, vector artists and video, etc. that are willing to partner on something new. I'm probably at that point where I can't really continue doing the same old same old. That said, it has to be the right opportunity.

General Stock Discussion / Re: POLL: What's your biggest challenge selling stock in 2017?« on: March 24, 2017, 11:30 »
I'm going to say prices. The volume end of the business isn't very sustainable, so it would be nice to see a shift to lower volume and higher prices.

I like Adobe's uploading better, and Fotolia's stats are better. So, I guess both?

Everybody gets the same quotes and I try to be polite. I usually see the same types of jobs over and over, so I probably could make a form letter. I've written the same email so many times though that it is pretty much memorized in my head anyway.

Off Topic / Re: Attention Newbies- Key Milestones that Ruin the Microstock Business« on: March 07, 2017, 22:03 »
It's definitely less lucrative, but I'm not sure it is ruined. I do wonder what happens if more and more people just stop making money. Will contributors leave? Will agencies collapse? Will new ones rise up? Things seem to shift around a lot in micros brief history, so I'm not entirely sure how it will all play out. It could just limp along like it is for a while too.

Hmm... It would be nice to get paid more. The earnings trend as a contributor seems to be going down and interest as a contributor has definitely waned. Just in case they want to hear it. There it is.
