iStockPhoto.com / Re: more detailed keywords? worth it ?
« on: September 02, 2015, 01:29 »
Had so many cases when my keywords were deleted  or replaced by something not related to the image. Because of this it is useless to spend time for that on IS

PSD? yes, for a good price. RAW - never. Just for my sitution. Seems you can soon collect data for statistics of answers.

There is a problem: if it is a mobile look but taken by a good camera, allowing normal print works, so is ok. But... Many sites mix in the same portfolio images taken really with mobile phones and normal cameras. This i think is damaging, should be separated.

Usually they respond quickly and not disapeared. For me they have fixed several issues. Vacances?

Print on Demand Forum / Re: Zazzle W8 BEN, please, please help
« on: August 24, 2015, 01:28 »
In my case all process took more than 1 month. They reply slow, communication was bad. It is strange to hear from employe of such level company that they don't have a consultant there. Still all finance pages are far below standard.
I don't upload new products there, they become more and more similar to Cafe Press, only do what i need or for clients. Recently found a product which i wanted to buy, on google, but the link on image brought me to zazzle search page, where this product was not shown at all. I searched zazzle and didn't find this product, then gave up. The product was a t-shirt with very niche drawing.

I think the biggest issue is all about watermark  for me!!!
Joining. Still don't want to upload more images there just because of this problem.

@imagesbykenny
this is similar to zazzle or ss - potential client spent time for search but then cannot buy what he wants, your image is not showing up on their site, the company proposes other goods from their favorities. They just use your images to find out more about user demand. For free. Add here google's disgusting "showing results for ... not what you searched for. - and - Show you what you search for?" . Last time i use more duckduckgo, it is more straight. At least for now. There more often i have direct links.

Still sell images taken with 4 mp camera. Location, event can be still valuable. Time is going, but people need to return sometimes.

Will regret of they go. Reviews sometimes slow, sometimes quickly, but submission is easy.

NOTE TO ALL SHOP KEEPERS:  My payment for May was cancelled so I called Zazzle and they said that they had sent an email back in February to all shop keepers stating we needed to update our payment settings.  All payemnts to shop keepers would be withheld until this was done.  I did not receive the email, and now I have to wait until next month to get my payment that was due to me today. If you haven't done so, you won't receive any Zazzle payments this month.
Actually they put efforts to take tax, no matter you are in treaty country or not. they don't speak already about "withheld", but propose to agree with deduction. They don't give their instructions for filling in the form in total, and usage of samples from previous years does not work, they refuse and every time add another part of their instruction in e-mail, keeping proposal to agree with tax. Belgium is in treaty, but in difference from other agencies they are really in efforts to take tax.

Dissolve / Re: Dissolve price update
« on: July 30, 2015, 01:40 »
A five year lock in, 30% commission and custom punishment pricing.  Not contributor friendly.
5 years is not acceptable. Continue to do videos for my clients only... Didn't upload videos to any agency after first tries. Not worth it.

Found this on IRS
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw8bene.pdf
and could not connect to Zazzle support.
ben - is not valid for compaanies,
ben-e is not provided by Zazzle, and is accepted or not - another month to wait, when they start to withhold tax.

241
Zazzle page require again to update payment settings,
and does not allow to download tax form for companies, only for individuals. Zazzle responded after one month with not related to question text.
Check your data - if they will withhold tax in any way, not regarding the treaty.
With their money they even didn't create normally functioning form like others

StockXpert.com / Re: Mass Payment Sent to Skrill, Not Paypal
« on: July 22, 2015, 00:42 »
Currently i see on iStock Paypal option active.

243
I see that something similar is happening with different agencies. Doing mostly travel, i noted already rejections related to presence of the same files on other sites, and just changed order of submission. Once forget - then this story repeated. Quality of images or how exotic is a location does not play big role. Generic direction, city was more important. Shortly - if file competes by generic keywords with interest of inspection or manager.

Pond5 / Re: Pond5 launches The Public Domain Project
« on: July 21, 2015, 01:12 »
They just wanted to show that they don't need you anymore. They can live with free stuff and their favorited contributors.
Read their post, where sleng is used.

245
Just don't forget what you mentioned: they sell mass of the same, but not you. The same situation with many buildings, parcs, objects, which are public, but not for all contributors

246
Today i don't expect any sales - most of my portfolio is not shown, only gray squares. Forul is not loading, only main page

247
With all concerns shown here i even didn't start. The time possible lost i better spend where the sales are and real work. Real. Many places now look like they got crowds which brought them audience and clients, but the purpose was to create a platform serving for a circle defined in beginning

248
Now Shutterstock reviews are taking 4+ days and the rejections even worse. These incompetent reviewers are wasting way too much of everyone's time and I just can't wrap my head around why SS management thinks it cost effective and efficient to make us submit over and over and contact them and resubmit again and again. Completely mind boggling and incredibly disrespectful to those of us making them their money. Going to start contributing to more of their competitors if for no other reason than to spite them and contribute to weakening their virtual monopoly, they're getting cocky.

I don't even think management is aware of what goes on most of the time (not just on SS)
It's probably not the agency's management at fault here, as long as the money is raking in they're happy. It's those in between trying to mess with our progress/exposure/sales. What makes you think when you contact support those aren't the same people trying to block your progress? do they even care? why should they care?
But in the end this is nothing new and will never change. Impossible for management to keep track of what all their staff is doing.
What I wonder though is if the top guys knew would they even care to do something about it? or just continue letting their staff use any means possible to keep their bottom up? even if that means leaving a lot of money on the table by letting them boost their friends and family or whomever they seem to favour that day by manipulating reviews and exposure (search) instead of promoting the better selling contributors that are competing with them and make more money.

 :o
There are all signs of what you described.

I have grow this year at all sites, except ss. Every EL at ss is a reason for several days fall down after.

I think that deletion from Yay is justifyed by protecting sales on other sites
