I voted 'no never - take them away' because I never use them but don't want them taken away if other people find them useful.

The shame is that potential clients can come to the site see this cr*p selling for 500$ and not bother to look further.

Lisa I think that it is being caused by the holiday weekend in most of Europe since last Thursday.
Weird. After being so happy to have my BME on SS in April, now all of a sudden for May the sales seem to have been cut in half. 2330

I don't agree at all, I think that he is a very good looking model with a very nice friendly face perfect to portray a friendly approachable business man rather than a stuffy approach.
Don't take offense but I think some of your models are not the greatest looking fellas in the world and especially this lad. He's a bit scruffy looking if you can see what I mean. 2332

Good news. I have recently started to upload to 123 and was a bit dissapointed in the earnings per sale for credit sales.

Not sure what is going on but I had some that said 76 hours and they were reviewed in 2 hours so I think it must be some sort of glitch.

I think that if anyone knows the answer to that one they'd be rich.
![]() It's very difficult to know what is going to catch on. When I upload a batch of images it's often the one that you least expect to do well that sell loads. I had one image which I wasn't going to put up because the lighting was really bad and I was going to repeat it but in the end decided to put it up and delete when I got a better version. That first image has gone on to sell over 500 times just on istock and nearly 2000 over all the sites. Much better than the superior version that I later uploaded. One way of giving an image a chance is to make sure that you upload a better image than any others with the same theme, but with the level of competition nowadays that is very difficult. Just keep uploading what you think is good enough and the sales will sort themselves out. I just looked at you portfolio and the one that is selling is a great image with a really nice relaxed happy looking model. You need to upload much more to get your portfolio noticed by the buyers. Also I would put the word Asian in your keywords because you will open it up to a much bigger market than just putting Indian. 2336

Agreed, I started to put my images up to them but gave up uploading because mostly I just get 25c a DL. If they put this up to 45 or 50 I would probably continue to get my whole portfolio up with them.
... I don't mind if my photos end up worst of the day but paying us just $0.25 for a download is making me wonder why I am there. ...That's about how I feel, too. 2338

I opted in and my earnings are soaring, double last month which was a 2nd BME. So I think that it says more about the site doing well than whether we are opted in or not. 2342
General Stock Discussion / Re: I just saw my image on tv ...« on: April 22, 2008, 01:48 »
Exactly it seems a lot more worthwhile if we think about how much we make on each photographic session rather than individual dls of one of the images. If we don't like this sort of thing then we shouldn't be selling our images on microstock sites. Personally I get such a buzz out of seeing my images in print that it more than makes up for the low earnings on that particular download. 2343
StockXpert.com / Re: StockXpert Growth« on: April 21, 2008, 05:14 »
StockXpert has really taken off for me this month. I have already made double what I did in January and 60$ more than last month. Up until now StockXpert has always been trailing well behind my 4 leader sites but this month it will be catching up for the first time.

I have a few images that do well on SS but not any where else. They are some of the nicest images that I have in my portfolio but not as stock worthy as most of my images. One in particular that I just looked at the figures for has had 158 dls on SS and has sold only 4 times each on IS and DT.
To me this suggests that quite a lot of impulse buying goes on at SS where they buy an image with their extra credits just because it's a nice image even though it's not particularly useful. 2347
LuckyOliver.com / Re: NEWS - Closing the Doors« on: April 16, 2008, 08:49 »You can delete them individually but that looks like about the only option. I can't see that working as the buyers will have credits to use up and they will lose money if they go elsewhere. 2348

I also upload to IS along with 6 other sites and they are always one of my top 2 earners.
Very few of us commenting are exclusive at IS so what we are saying isn't quote:' just BS coming from the butt kissing istockers.' but based on actual facts and figures. 2349

Congratulations on such great figures.
I made so much on my first month at SS that it took over 6 months and 3x more images to reach that figure again. Keep uploading regularly and you might be able to keep them figures up. Were they photos or vectors? |
