20% people for the item 'My income hasn't dropped at all and I am an indepdendent' ??...
Pretty hard to believe... I seriously wonder where these istock independent are coming from... Can one voter with one IP vote multiple times ? Could they be trolls ?...

Same problem here. The upload seems to start normally, but then there's no new files in the 'Edit and submit' section... I don't do Ftp because it doesn't associate the eps+jpg files. (I upload vector ilustration)
Hope it will come back soon

Hello,
I'm a vector illustrator, I have a portfolio of now around +1700 files, upload an average of 20/30 files a month, and I have an average on 123rf of more or less 300$/month. Sometimes 500$, like in april 2015 (via some extra EL) For the moment 123RF is pretty stable

Got about +1000 vector illustrations there also for little more of a year or so. Average of 2-3 files sold per month... But I set the price of all my images at 10$, so each time it's around 15/20 $/month (sometimes more). Rather than having another pity low seller agency, I prefer not to sell a lot and take at least my 20 bucks from buyers who are willing to pay at a good price...

Thanks Striving. Will try to upload via website, but it will be much more pain than with the ftp system goddxxxd... that used to be really efficient BTW, sales seems to move up again since a few days (january and february were awful => 30/40$ where I used to do between 120/150$ before...

Ok skyfish. BTW, do you upload illustrations or photos ? if illustrations, do you upload eps + jpeg in a zip file (as I usually do without any problems) ?... thanks

Where do you tell this to them on IS?
Is this one of the places where two files, same name, on EPS one JPG or how does IS work uploads using DM for Vectors?
Are there any sites that accept PNG files with transparent backgrounds?
Yes 2 files with exactly same name. On iStock in the description field you can mention infos, technical details etc... They recognize IPTC metadata that you can use with the jpeg file. Don't know about the png but you can put a png version next to the jpeg and eps file in many micro.

Hello,
better save the jpeg file as 300dpi with Photoshop than using 'save to web' which will create a 72dpi image (5000 px minimum for the long size also). When submitting to iStock, don't forget to tell if the EPS is v8 or 10. They may reject it if you don't mention... Good luck

Hello everyone, we've (hopefully) fixed the IPTC reading for Photos and Ilustrations at Pond5 (Illustrations via the JPG in the ZIP).
Can you guys prove me wrong in case there's still something not working fine?... IPTC data in vectors is now working fine for me. But the Photo/Illustration radio button still doesn't appear until after you try to submit the image and get an error.
Same thing for me. The Photo/Illustration radio button problem, (doesn't appear until after you try to submit the image and get an error) is really boring. It slows the process of submitting and multiply the clicks (I have around 1100 files to submit...)

Very good job ! Site is simple and visually appealing, and your work is great
My main critic : no browsing categories... and watermark a bit more apparent on images (it's a matter of a few alpha % maybe...)
but very very good anyway. I would like to have such a website for my own and know how hard, long and painful it is to build and create

No children, it was 2 illustrations : one of a rocket ship in space and the other a set of weather icons...

Hello Fotografer
I also had 2 EL (25,00$) yesterday for two images... Wait and see if it's no joke... It's probably ok (I've sold an EL some months ago at BS and there was no problem)

If Getty wants to degrade the value of Microstock Images then I guess its their prerogative. For us, the creator of these assets, the only reasonable solution is to have an opt-out option. Failing this option, leaving is the only action open to us.

" this is the first step in what we hope will be a great partnership with Google" How exciting... Was this only "the first step" ? Only a beginning so...

Hello all. It's really important that the MSG exists for stock contributors. All this action and movement these last weeks is a really hopeful thing. I put here an answer i received yesterday from istock admin. Not clear at all and not answering to my specific questions... In addition to all this D-Day thing & social movement from contributors, I believe if all contributors write this kind of message on his part to the contact support (and not only in the forums), it could have moreover a mass impact and will prove that a lot of people are feeling concerned, and that we are not only stupid sheeps uploading blindly and without any awareness of our interests.
Here is an answer I received from istock staff yesterday about the google drive deal :
Issue/Question: Hello, I write as a contributor because i would like to ask some questions concerning some recent news i've read about istock, Getty and the google drive thing. From what i've understood, is it true that in the future, Google drive users will be able to download for free thousands of HR jpg images from istock, and use it inside their work even for commercial use ? What are the limitations ? Does that concern every istock artists (exclusive and regular) ? Will there be an option for illustrators to easily opt out of this ? I don't know and understand for the moment all the implications and involvements in this, but it sounds pretty worrying for us contributors and that\'s why i\'m feeling concerned and needed to ask these few questions... Looking forward to read you. Regards xxx

Comment: Hello Benoit, Thanks for reaching out. I can understand your concerns however, as mentioned in the forums, this is the first step in what we hope will be a great partnership with Google. We are working to resolve some of the implementation shortfalls and should have an update on those very soon. Google Drive users can indeed use these images for commercial work but it must remain within a Google Drive product. Please keep an eye out for a newsletter early next week for any additional updates on this. Regards, xxxx

I've just installed your greasemonkey de-activation script. Thank you very much ! I've stopped uploading anything on iStock and will keep ready for D-Day

In the past 2 days I have downloaded 7,000 digital files from Google Drive Stock to my computer FOR FREE! All of them are high resolution with a maximum width/height of 3200 pixels. You can browse and search through them at
http://kga.me/gds
Hover over a thumbnail to view additional image information: title, image number, image pixel size, contributor's name, Google search link, and a link to the high resolution file.
I am absolutely disgusted by these shady online tactics to sell more images at the artists expense. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help.
Thanks for posting that. That's terrifying... thousands and thousands of HR images and big work for free !!! :-( I was reading the threads for 2 or 3 days and couldn't believe it, but now... I will think of de-activating my files for D-Day, and from now on, i stop uploading anything to istock.
