Easy. Ask them for 38-cents, plus a $1 tip. Everyone's happy then.  ;D

Bigstock.com / Re: BS Payment Stolen
December 13, 2017, 05:54
Yeah, happened to me too a few months back. The hacker changed my payout address to a Yandex email address. As soon as I would change my password and account info, he'd break in and change it back to his. BS was on it quickly, sealed up the broken entryway I guess, and I haven't had a problem since, but I still check in every day to see if all is still well. (Helps that I've got nothing worth stealing there!)
Anyway, odd that in 10 years that's never happened to me on SS, IS, DT, FT, 123, and other sites that are no longer with us.  Only BS and only this year. Seems to have happened to a lot of other contribs on BS, too.  Hmm.
Hope this gets resolved for you.

So many of us have left istock now, I wouldn't be surprised if some people get more sales, as there's less competition....
Perhaps this phenomenon can be coined "the Istock Effect."

No sale since 20 July. Used to get several daily, even if sometimes only subs. No like.

Find out how much the "agency" gets paid by the end client per image/shoot.  Then decide if you really want to continue with it.

It would do everyone good to remember that famous admonition posted a few years ago in the IS forum: "Money isn't what's going to make you happy."  They're just trying to uphold their standards. Give 'em a break.

Apparently the hackers have found a way to make Bigstock a source of easy money. They've taken time to familiarize themselves with BS' payment procedures---maybe they are or were members there, perhaps even previously employed by them.
Well, either way, harden your passwords, change them frequently, keep your system updated, always be diligent.

Everybody and their dog used to be on there, but a lot of us (and our dogs) left because it isnt worth it. Too much hassle for the return.....

This says it all. Not worth it anymore. Their glory days are long gone...very long gone.

I owe a lot of kudos to the Bigstock tech-support team as they have really stuck with this case and put a good amount of time into helping resolve it. They've been super-prompt in communicating with me, giving status updates, etc.  I don't envy their job, with the massive amount of hacking going on all over the world and more so as technology advances. I was fairly security-conscious before, but I'll be even more so after this!
Anyway, I wanted to give a public "Thanks" to the tech guys over there. Great job!

Well, BS worked on my case and it appeared they had gotten it all straightened out. They suspended my account temporarily, I cleaned up everything I could on my system, cleared cache & cookies, changed passwords, upped some security settings, changed to a different browser, etc. Everything appeared good, then today, voila!, my payout address was changed again!  Wonder if it's on Bigstock's end and not mine. Who knows. I've contacted them again and waiting to hear back. Someone's determined to get some dining-out cash!

One other note: I had not yet reached the payout threshold, so no money was able to be taken. But payout will be available soon, so the thief was just waiting like a hawk to steal.

That's the good thing about Bigstock. It's really safe from these sort of attacks since it basically *never* reaches payout!

:)

Just a notice that my BS paypal address was changed by someone besides me. No one else locally has access to my computer, so my account was obviously hacked online. Bigstock was good enough to send me a change-of-account email notice, which alerted me. You may want to check your micro acct's, change p/words, etc.

Been trying to login since this morning. The site hangs for a few seconds as if it's trying to log-in, then reverts to the original homepage (not-logged-in page).

Times are changing, but i can think of another name i would put a higher priority on.
I have two names in my mind.

Peabert?

It really is a mystery to me why they didn't hire peebert back on. He fits perfectly in the current IS/G ecosystem.

ShadeSue, just curious, are you still exclusive? Reason?
Not that I am a fan of Getty, my guess is that the revenue drop may not be as bad for exclusives yet.
. . .Tickstock is one of the very few who are reporting buoyant sales.

My sales are buoyant. Because they are in the toilet. ;)

Just now I was browsing through the forums on Dreamstime and everything seemed fine. I was just about to upload a photo there when suddenly the website became unresponsive. I refreshed and reloaded etc but to no avail. At first, I thought it was my internet connection but all other websites are running normally. Anyone else having trouble with Dreamstime?

Yeah. Site seems to be down. Hopefully just regular maintenance and not a terroristic attack.

Pardon me for my ignorance, where do you people see those 19 cents or 9 cents?

From my ESP, I could only see the total, and not the individual sales.

Thanks for enlightening me!
In ESP, go to Royalties - Export
Download the text file - it will look like garbage, but if you then import it into a spreadsheet like Excel or Google sheets, you'll have your details (delimited text file - auto detect or tab-delimited).

Thanks for the guidance, RoamingPro. Opened fine tab-delimited in Libreoffice 5 Calc. Not that I was all that excited about seeing those stats anyway. Oh, well, at least I had only one 15-cent royalty in Jan-Feb---what a comfort....
[To be fair, there were a few >$1 and a couple >$2. Still, not even enough to make payout this month.]

Heh ;)

So my unique link is not that unique, it appears, because several other contribs also have the same link---a big empty blank!!
The ineptitude over there knows no bounds!

Well, I have always gotten paid 2 ways. One check from iStock/Getty and another from the RM Getty Portal. In Jan. I was owed over 1K from the Getty Portal which was always deposited in my account on the 25th, these were earnings from Nov. 2016. It never happened, I have sent in tickets to no avail. I have printed proof but nothing yet! It looks like Getty is going to steal over 1k from me! I hope this does not end up being the case but considering their track record who knows! Oh and yes no e-mail ever stated I would not receive those earnings

Welcome to the world of GangstaStock. Perhaps Getty is simply collecting the dues you owe them for the privilege of hosting your images.>:(

To me this is still a little unclear.
Is it recommended that current FT contribs also join Adobe??
For the foreseeable long-term future, will submissions, accounts, payouts, etc, still work as before through us.fotolia.com??
I don't want to open yet another account if I don't have to.

Yes, for now we rely on our sellers to upload all of the relevant releases for the images of identifiable people that they upload.  We will be updating this process and making improvements so that sellers can "attach" a release to each relevant photo.

Oh, please don't.  That is the biggest waste of time at all agencies.

Agreed. Agreed. Agreed.  It's not an improvement---it's a regression.

Paid on 5th as well.  Did you check your profile email address (or whatever address you use for payments)?
