is it allowed though?

I haven't been able to get rid of my "unread comments" that show up and have had "3" showing for about a year now that just won't go away? very annoying.

Also... are you allowed to put your name in your keywords on DT?

my biggest annoyance (I use a mac laptop, but have a PC desktop) is not being able to click a button to 'maximize window'  I know there is the little + button but that doesn't always make it full screen.  Am I missing something?

"command and zero" (0) - top row

Veer / Re: Veer - how long is the approval que?
November 26, 2009, 20:42
Ok... so approx a week it was. that works.

Now how the heck to you get views, let alone sales?

I've got almost no views on anything but one picture? I know I have a small portfolio at this point, but this is worse than StockXpert when they went through that thing were you got no views.

Sheesh!

Veer / Veer - how long is the approval que?

Does anyone know how long it takes to go through the queue at Veer these days?

Thanks! :)

I'm in graphic design and do ad runs in various newspapers. Is that circulation (ie expected readership) or the actual print run of the paper itself? there can be a huge difference.

For example... the paper prints one paper, but a family of 10 read it, then it gets left a the local coffee shop where 25 other people read it during the day. So we go from 1 print to 35 readership (circulation) - Newspapers use this to pump up there numbers so potential advertisers think its way better than it really is.

So if I bought the same photo from iStock, DT and StockXpert I could get a print run of 499,999 from iStock, another print run from DT of 499,999 and then yet another from StockXpert for 249,999?

I'm sure this has happened to me before as I've had the same photo downloaded from all three sites the same time, same day.

The perils of non-exclusivity?

Good luck.

LisaFX is correct!!  If its for imaging, then the Samsung 245T is a good choice. Don't cheap out if you are using it to process photos for stock. You might be sorry.

Good luck. Regards

I'm in Ontario. If you have "Canada Computers" in Quebec, they have the cheapest prices for the Samsung 245T.

I ordered mine in the store, then picked it up. I was just slightly over $600. ($628 taxes in rings a bell).

You can order from them online and they might deliver it to a local store? But they were definitely the cheapest.

I got the Samsung 245T last year and I love it.  It was just plug and play with my Mac.

But I promise you, if you get a Mac Pro and use one for six months, you will wonder why anyone bothers with a PC anymore.

Here! Here! No headaches, no viruses, no vista - who could ask for anything more! I was converted 6 years ago, and I could not go back to PC.

Ok... iStock and StockXpert, SS and BigStock, Veer and Snap, so do I hear a bid for a DT and Fotolia merger???

How about "normal or average or everyday"

Oh come on __ this is supposed to be a microstock forum. If I want a 'joke of the day' I can get it anytime I like via the interweb. I don't need you to be my editor.

If you're looking for a social club where 'Nobby No-Mates' can gather or just want to talk meaningless drivel then the SS forums should be ideal.

Question of the day?  Which one is funnier?  I like Phils. Poll anyone?

With the number of images on iStock now, sure sounds like a feat to me! Congratulations Adelaide!

I can't log on either??? It won't load the page at all.
#44
Does anyone know how long the queue wait is now?
Thanks.

Veer / Re: FTP problem

Thats what I did, browser upload and it was simple. I can't seem to get Veer to load at all now? Anyone else having problems? It's ok now, my bookmark was broken.

I tried last week and it wouldn't work either. I connected, then would disconnect as soon as I added files to upload.

In June, I've received for a level 3 image... $3.69 for a small and 4.38 for a med.

as well as $4.50 for a medium level 4, so I'm pretty happy with that. Makes up for those subscription sales.

1. I was naive
2. I was duped
3. Mike Slonecker was right, possibly about everything (oldies might understand that, but the StockXpert crew will for sure)

Wow... I remember Mike Slonecker!!  HA.

FYI... if you are considering going exclusive with iStock, you must delete your StockXpert files as well, so this tells me that StockXpert will become absorbed also?

Does each download from Photos.com or JI count as one download on iStock? Might be worth it temporarily if your close to a new cannister level?

Can you opt out once you've opted in?
