I'm averaging a couple a day, nice!

I had sixty bucks disappear a couple of days ago, figure it was just a dodgy credit card...!

Fixed it.

Anyone else not able to access sales data at Canva?
For over a week now I get a "Untrusted Connection" block in Firefox.
The site has an invalid security certificate.

Emailed support but no response, really frustrating!

Out. Can't remember the last time I had one anyway!

ditto. I deactivated my account to avoid any legal/tax repercussions.
Not worth the aggro as they were the lowest earners on my list anyway.

* this is annoying. Anyone else considering deleting half their port from SS? I'm seriously ready to hit the button.

stockmm - 83 sales on 581 images at two thirds of the month is pretty good if you think about it.

I was doing kind of ok on there till i bit the bullet and just isolated all the images myself....it took a while and i got a very bad back from it for months but its paying off now. I'm psyching up the courage to isolate another 2000.....

70$ SS, ~740 files

Exactly.

I only had a couple of thousand images up last October and they earnt $800+ that month.
Now with 3 times as much i earn a quarter. Something is wrong somewhere.

2000 files at Canva. 50-100 sales a day.

And yes, $208 for the month so far with 6000+ images. Thats why I'm answering this thread as it seems odd to see such a drop.

Last October I earnt $800+ for the month at SS, I'd been with them about 9 months after leaving Fotolia exclusivity.

What are your stats like Dumc?

I've noticed a huge drop in sales at SS too, 6000+ port.
Down about 60-70%.
I earnt just under a hundred bucks in my first month there 2 years ago and I'm scraping along today at $208 so far. It'll be hitting iStock territory soon.
Canva is $438 so far this month....

Change in the search algorithm???

I used to have a UK paper license but many years ago had to change to the photo one when it ran out.
They only last ten years I think.

Hasn't yours run out since they changed to the new format (20 years ago roughly?) or are you saying that once I get even older(!) they will give me a paper one again?

What I'm trying to say is, is your driving license out of date?

Good luck Alfa and well done on getting accepted at Shutterstock. Like most people have said, different agencies work better for different people and the best thing is to upload to all the major players.
Canstock for me is better than 123rf, Fotolia is about equal with SS, and iStock is just dwindling away.

It takes time but keep at it and hopefully as your port gets bigger your sales will increase.

Write to support and request they change them all for you, they can be very helpful sometimes.
I set mine to 100 credits always and i get on average 1 extended license every 2 months or so.

@Dodie
We're on the same page. I'm in the middle of a teeth grindingly awful bout of having to do my accounts at the moment, its Friday and I'm probably not paying attention like I should.  :)

I think you are right, the rankings once you get higher must be more nerve racking.

I flinch when my overall ranking drops by a couple of points, and my weekly rankings can fluctuate by a few hundred points bringing me out in a cold sweat (which is usually calmed by a good strong cup of coffee)

Hey, no worries Dodie, I don't mind at all.

Madman wanted to see if people would post their ranks which some did including me.

My reply then was to Thomas from France asking effectively why we do this (compare each others ranks) and made a joke about size comparison which is why i joked back.

I'm not in the upper 50 contributors but I would assume the same rules apply to them as well as us in regards to weekly and overall ranking. Why wouldn't it?

Microstock is a solitary occupation where real contact is rare and information is hard to come by without some effort.

Unlike a "day job" where fellow workers can communicate in person and collate and discuss different aspects of their job.

Data of any kind about this process of Microstock can be perceived by some as useful in varying degrees and can sometimes be a spur to contine producing output in an otherwise almost thankless task.

And its fun.

So there.

ps i bet mines bigger than yours  ;)

Canva / Re: Canva

I've had the strange experience of as quickly as my recent images get accepted an equal number of old accepted images are being deleted.

2600 image portfolio.

The amount stays the same, new images accepted but images are just getting deleted at exactly the same rate.

Very confusing and very unsure as to keep uploading.
Do they just want to keep it all fresh and new?

Your vector work is great and I wish you good luck with the site.

I'd be tempted to put the prices up (maybe double at least).

As Jo says, your biggest difficulty is finding buyers, being visible.
You need to put in lots of work attracting many people to your site.

Good luck!  :)

« on: July 03, 2015, 01:48 »
Not neccessarily, clients can share a rank if they have the same amount of sales. It could be many multiples of that number.

I may be wrong but I'm sure I read this somewhere.
