$74.58
My ticket:
"I have received from you by e-mail a "Partner Program Recoupment Notification" I'm asking you to provide me relevant documentation that corroborates the alleged over-payment of Partner Program royalties to me, in the past months of September and October 2013.
Thank you"
Was I too soft?

I'm on IB for about a year now and have responded to many briefs and had a few files shortlisted. When this happened, some of the briefs got stuck for ages because the buyers needed more time to discuss with their partners. The wait was nerve-wracking. In the end, a large amount of briefs ended up not awarding any image. I can't help thinking that many of the clients were just looking to visualize some ideas among the images suggested and then, simply tossing some excuse, go away to produce the image themselves.
Anyway, it seems a good business format for IB because they don't need to invest too much in mass image storage servers like the typical stock agencies. I remember reading somewhere that images not awarded are deleted past some time.
Good luck with them, Ron and everyone else

I agree Karin, this is one sticking point that really makes me angry. MY PHOTOS ARE NOT COPYRIGHT GOGRAPH and I'm pretty sure I would win in court if I found my intellectual property with someone elses name in front of it claiming it is theirs.
Why do they have their terms written up this way then "© GoGraph.com / [Artist’s username]" must appear adjacent to the Content? All buyers are immediately in violation of their contract when they don't even have access to the "Artist's username".
Section 6: Credit If the Content is used in print media in an editorial manner, the credit line "© GoGraph.com / [Artist’s username]" must appear adjacent to the Content. If the Content is used in a film, television production, documentary, or similar audio/visual or multimedia product in an editorial manner, the credit line “© GoGraph.com / [Artist’s username]” must appear in the audio/visual production credits. If the Content is used online in an editorial manner, a link to www.gograph.com shall appear adjacent to the Content. Omission of this link shall not constitute a breach of the terms of this Agreement provided that Licensee remedies such omission upon request from Licensor.
Licensor may waive this credit line or link requirement, upon request, via email or other writing.
I found this image of mine... http://www.gograph.com/photo/horseback-riding-gg56143474.html... and more than one year later since the star of this thread, proper credits still not associated with the images. Legal info quoted above applies to image buyer/user and in the supplier upload agreement, there's no mention about image credits in partner sites. And with this line: "2. License a. [...] Company is specifically authorized to employ the services of sub-distributors throughout the world in its licensing and marketing efforts.", CanStockPhoto don't have to give us an "opt out" option because we agreed with it. Anyway, I would like to know what's the advantage to the agencies involved, in not giving proper credits with the photographer names in the partner sites... because for photographers, this brings no advantage at all. This is a recurring issue, talked over and over, and involving several major agencies, and the lack of transparency from these same agencies stinks big time!

Throughout the years I had a few images in the weekly top 50 but that was when we could choose photos or vectors only. Those images had to sell from 8 to 12 (+-) times a day for at least a week to appear in there. Now it is much more difficult...

That particular image is not mine, as many others in that search result aren't. Anyway, I'm yet to understand the purpose of that Picstopin site... I noticed large images in there (1200x795 - the two fisherman photo is mine) are only enlargements of much smaller thumbnails. I'ts impossible to do anything serious with those. At least in every thumbnail of that site is a button to delete it... it promps a popup with a question on why should that image be deleted.

They deliver prints, not digital files. Of course one could scan the print and use the image for any purpose but I don't think a buyer in FAA would buy a print having in mind scanning it. He could get a similar image searching online with google images... unfortunately for us, he would not have much difficulties. In FAA be sure to allow watermarks. Full resolution previews are in image square sections and are watermarked. enabling them increases your chances to sell. I've been in FAA since August 2011 with a payed account and now have 600+ images there, the best of my microstock portfolio. It's very easy to upload, the system reads iptc metadata, so all keywords and descriptions already in the images are utilized. I have very decent sales and receive monthly payouts of several hundred $$ with no marketing at all, other than post a recent sale in FB every now and then. I'm not active in their forums and I don't comment much on other artists images. Overall, I can't complain. You should give it a try. http://carlos-caetano.artistwebsites.com/index.html

Now, this can be BIG! A cooperative agency made by a community of artists?! 100% profit would attract everybody and the chance to make a real opposition to the big greedies would build us respect! Is it utopia? Or are the chances real? I'm not a programmer, just a photographer and digital artist. All I can think of giving this project is as a beta-tester and my contribution of my portfolio to help build up an eclectic offer of imagery to the buyers. Let the force be with us!

I can understand now that $1000 may be kinda short for a relatively low earner image, particularly if the agency keeps half of the deal, but I wouldn't think twice before the possibility of gaining in a second the amount that the image probably wouldn't earn me in five years in all sites. Would you?! Besides, doing 3D backgrounds and textures is not where I set my goals. I did this images in an instant and for fun. I wouldn't mind to deactivate such an image in all sites if I would sell the rights to it. I could easily replace it with a similar if I wanted. Now, with thoughtful photo productions, with images I have high hopes for, or with the ones that earned me thousands in all sites together, I must make a totally different price or don't sell the right at all.
Anyway, in this particular case, the buyer thought this was a vector illustration and asked me for the .ai file, too... So I guess that's a no deal...

You sound quite comfortable with, and pragmatic about, your decision, so best of luck with sale going through at price you chose! Smiles - Ann
hmmm..., I should set it for $2000 then!
I now have realized that the default price for selling the rights is related to the popularity of the image. This image is a 3D render background illustration that I've uploaded some 4 years ago and sold 50 times 'till today. To tell the truth, I wouldn't mind to make a definitive sell for this image for $1000, being it a 3D render that, to begin with, it's not my "forte" in image making... So I'll just set it with the recommended price and see what happens... I'll post here if the deal is done.
Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks! And you sound that you'd never do it!

Hello all!, I was asked to sell the rights for a particular image in my DT portfolio and I hit the link in the e-mail I received from DT to enable that possibility. By default, the recommended price is $1000 but I can lower the price. I confess I find it exaggerated, but wouldn't mind at all if the buyer could pay that amount for this image. Have anyone of you been asked to sell the rights? what would you do? Should I ask for a couple of hundrends or what?! This is the image: http://www.dreamstime.com/3d-background-image4572233Thanks! *edit* I have corrected the link for you to be able to see the image

seems to me to be stupid that at a time of people trying to get into new agencies with the Istock screw ups that Veer is incapable of reviewing images and pushing their company forward. A real wasted opportunity. It is the sort of thing that long term can make the difference between success and failure for them. I have over two hundred images waiting for almost two months now. I am not in a hurry to waste further effort uploading.
Ditto. Already two hundred images that I've been uploading since November 2nd. It's frustrating because some of my Christmas images will be wasted. Hopefully, the ones about Easter will be reviewed in time... :/

Instead of "downloads this month" I'd rather see "Account balance" (Yes, I know where to find my "account balance", but I find it much more interesting than "downloads this month", the amount of dowloads just reminds me how little money we get for a download )
The month's balance is in the upper right hand corner next to the amount of this month's downloads.
What exactly do you want to see when you say "account balance"? Your all time total?
I guess it's useful for everyone that doesn't get to a payout monthly, and the account balance helps to see how much is still left to payout I like it the new page but I would like to have back the thumbs for latest approved and links to the newest forum topics...

Hi guys,
I'll forward this to the Support and tech teams to get an update (it's a Sunday night, so the team might not be fully engaged until tomorrow), but the best path is to also follow up directly with Support for an answer, since they typically will attach a ticket to individual user accounts.
Best,
Scott Bigstock
Thank you Scott Please do forward this to Support and tech teams. If this is happening to all of us, you must be loaded with similar messages to mine, so I'm not contacting support again, because you have to be aware of this. It's been almost 3 weeks now and if the problem remains much further or if BS don't explain why this is taking so long, I'll have to conclude that you simply don't care...

Almost 3 weeks ago I had some difficulties in uploading by FTP (I use Dreamweaver FTP tools). The thumbnails didn't appear and I thought that the system hadn't yet had the time to assimilate the images. I didn't wait for them to show and blindly edited categories backed up with the photo descriptions. One day later, the thumbnails were still missing.
Surprisingly, the images got accepted but all I was seeing in my port was blank squares saying "image not available".
Searching for the images, they did not appear is search results. Then, I wrote to support and they replied that they were having some server issues and that my thumbnails would soon be visible, which they did some days later. The problem is that by then, my images were already buried under hundreds of new ones, with very small chances to be found in searches again...
Last week I uploaded a new batch, this time avoiding FTP. I've chosen the HTML forms, and, guess what,... no thumbnails again, only "image not available"... I'm going to delete them. I have just tried to upload one image a few minutes ago. The problem remains.
What I'm finding very strange is that I don't see anyone else complaining about this. Not here, not in BS forums.
Maybe I should contact support again, but as they have confirmed me the first time that they were having server problems, I'm waiting for them fix them!... But isn't 3 weeks a little too long? And why don't they announce something about this?!
Or is this just happening to me? what's your experience?
Thanks in advance for your responses. Carlos

21 days have passed since my request. I asked support about it and they said they were sorry and that they were going to forward my email to the financial dept.

Out of the few hundreds of $$ I make monthly in IS, a couple of bucks are from subs sales. So, I don't really need this. I'm opting out and getting away from all this buzz.

I'm with them since Aug 06 and my total earnings from the very first sale until now is about the same of what I make in one month in SS. And I have over 1000 images in both sites. It is my lowest earner of the 7 I'm in and I'm not going to upload new images for a while. It's not worth the effort.

I've just downloaded the free trial version for Win but when I was to install it, I got this message: " The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." I went back and downloaded again a new copy... only to have the same message again.
So, how am I supposed to test the program in order to buy it if I like it? Tx Carlos

Hey, Thanks Lisa! I guess I read the firsts posts until the EL controversy and at that time, that was enough for me to step out and I didn't read much more. I'll read it now carefully because that quote you posted is a bit confusing at first glance.
And thank you tubed and stokfoto for your feedback as well.

Hello all! This is my first post, although I have been reading the forums quite often.
I'm not on Photos.com arranjement with StockXpert since it started, mainly because buyers can get a regular download and use the files in a way that somewhere else they had to buy an EL. Putting aside the latest revenue and payments confusion, from your experience, do you think it is worth it to be in Photos.com? Did you notice a increase in revenue and did it affect your sales, EL's in particular, in any other site? I'm trying to make a decision and I would like your feedback on the matter.
Thanks in advance, CC
