Canva / Re: Canva
« on: March 18, 2015, 03:57 »
Thanks,
I got rejection in Dec.'14 but I registered (opened account? accidentally when searching for my image, as friend told it's on your site but it doesn't matter) in March '15. If I understand correct this is something else, two different accounts: only register to make projects and be accepted to sell work?
From your email:
"Confirming your account will give you full access to Canva and all future notifications will be sent to this email address..... "
Then I got email with:
"Thanks for signing up for Canva! We're excited to have you onboard......."

Today I got email with:
"It's celebration time. You've created 10 designs in Canva. Kudos to you! Keep on rocking it with great graphics."

I don't understand all this situation at all  :P
I applied once, in Dec., got rejection and registered in March with no second apply and did no designs, except one test to play it and see how your site works, but it's not public I guess, lol :D
I got the same messages when I signed up.  It just means that you have been accepted as a buyer.

It would be interesting to know how much you need to have earnt to qualify.

I'm in Europe and Fot has become my best earning site this year.

« on: March 11, 2015, 05:47 »
There's no way I would give them any more of my work. It is just a test by SS to see if we will take a sh*fting. I am still fuming that they offered the 38c to people who never contributed there before, while those of us already on the site get much less. Still makes me mad now thinking about it.
I was already uploading there when I was offered the Bridge so the only difference it made to me was one less site to upload to.

It would be nice if they would tell us how long they will keep paying .38 for subs for the bridge folks (they are still doing that aren't they - originally it was only supposed to be for 6 months or a year I thought).
Yes they are still paying 38c.

It was working for me a couple of days ago

The witness doesn't have to be present at the photo session they just have to witness the parents or model sign the release.

I just got some stupid rejections.  I'll just put them back through in a week or two.!!!

It's not Hibiscus.  The flower is similar but the buds and leaves are completely different

Definitely active.  I had sales if February but so far only one this month.  It says no uploading for me that was why I was surprised to read about 20 a day.

Had a sale a week ago.  I get one every month or two.

I think what happened there is massive dilution.  Early on, they got a lot of buzz for being a site that was easy to work with and paid fair commissions - and was making a few sales.   GL sort of went viral among stock photographers and they probably received a huge volume of images.  Then their sales sharply declined (supposedly due in part to changes at Google) and never recovered.  The result is that today they may be making enough to stay in business, but not to be worthwhile for individual photographers - so no one is submitting there any longer.

Their maximum of 20 images a day to submit is very boring, I have stopped to submit there because of this.
If they would put a maximum for the month (600, corresponding to their maximum a day X 30) I surely start to upload again.
Uploading has been closed there for months hasn't it???  Are you able to upload 20 a day?

My sales figures seem to be about right this morning.  Yesterday when I looked all that days sales were showing as zeros.

How easy is the upload to this site?  I really can't be bothered to go through yet another complicated upload system for a site that may or may not take off.
Thanks.

And when you check the earnings page (you have to go through a captcha to get there) you will see that the subs I think are only 22 cents to start - it will be a while before you get to 25-cent subs there.
Subs go higher than 25c, I get 36c there.

I upload there as I love the fact that you can set your own price.  Not so many sales but always good ones.

How long is it taking to get photos reviewed here?  I've been waiting for weeks now.

They tried that for a few days once before where buyers had to leave a comment. I had all sorts of random one word comments from buyers that just put in anything so that they could proceed with the download.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Have DT sales slumped?
« on: September 05, 2013, 05:57 »
My sales at DT for August were the second highest in 2 years but with a terrible RPD so earnings didn't reflect it as it ended up an average month for earnings.
