I never took StockXpert seriously until the last few months when sales have started to really take off. I've probably only got half on my portfolio with them but will definatly be going through the rest when I have time and uploading more images.

Cheap material from the carnaval shop. It's what the schools etc use to make cheap outfits for the children.

If I were to write the logics in a search tool, I would consider as least the title besides the keywords. I mean, an image that has "dog" as a keyword and also in the title is more likely to be more relevant than one with dog in the keywords only. Even more relevant would be images with dog in the title, description and keywords.
That's how the DT search engine works. I think that it gives much more relevant searches.

Yes, I've been trying to upload some photos for the last couple of hours but it's impossible to do anything. The forums have now been closed so must be a big problem that they are trying to sort out.

I had this problem and thought that I wasn't showing in the searches but if you log in and then go to bottom of page and click on the British or USA flag and then try your English keywords it should work. What you can't do is use english words in the search if you are in the Portugese or other language site. I hope it works for you as it gave me a panic to when I couldn't get any of my images to come up with any of the keywords.

IS 34% SS 32% FT 14% DT 10% StockXpert 10% IS,SS and StockXpert about same as last month. DT up as more and more images reach higher levels the earnings go up. FT down on last month by 33% but last month was an amazing month breaking all records so just back to normal. All in all better than expected for August.

I think that whoever it was that made a public announcement about your keywords on the DT forum would have been kinder if they had left a private comment on one of your images warning you about the situation and then this would never have happened as you could have changed it before it came to the attention of the DT staff. I don't think that anybody can add keywords to your images without getting them approved by Dt reveiwers. Are you keywording in another language that is causing weird translations?

I'm not surprised that they decided to suspend you until this was sorted out as I just read on the DT forums that you had over 200 keywords on a close up of a leaf with dew drops. I dindn't see the keywords as they were already deleted but I would say that it would be virtually impossible to come up with 50 relevant keywords on that image let alone over 200. How did you manage to get that many on as the max. is 80? I have looked at some of your other images and they don't seem to be too bad, maybe you have already edited them or the other photo was a one off. In all fairness I think that most of us get it wrong at the beginning. When istock started the wikki programme I went through all my images and cringed at some of the bad keywording that I had to delete on some of my older images.

I read on one of the sites that if you have a property release signed by the person owning the property at the time the photo was taken then it would stay valid even if the property was sold

After a record July and then sales plummeting the first couple of weeks in August things seem to be back to normal the last couple of days. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just a lucky few days?
Anybody else getting pages and pages of e.mail notifications from Fotolia? I think that they must have had a backlog and are sending them all out at once.

Yes it is legal from the IS point of view as this is something not available on IS. I have done work for clients contacting me through site mail and was told by support that I wasn't breaking any rules. I have always got them to pay me using paypal.

My sales have been down in August after a record breaking July but I am putting this down to the fact that most sales are in Europe and most people take their annual holidays in august.

I hope that they don't start subscription sales. At DT we had a pay rise and higher catagory images went up considerably which made up for any losses on subscription so unless stockxpert plan on doing the same then I think we will all see a decrease in earning.

Serban said in the forums that the images would still be on sale because DT know that the model releases do exist.

I agree completely with yingyang0, I don't think that you have a case to get those keywords put back.

I use the istock release on all sites and delete the logo at the top and company name at the bottom.

Should have kept my mouth shut. I've jinxed it for myself, not a single sale today.

Has anybody noticed a difference in stockxpert sales this week? Mine are double what they usuallly are which I didn't expect in August. Have they changed the 'Popularity' order recently or is it just ebb and flow working in my favour. It's always been a bit slow for me compared to the other 4 sites that I upload to but this could make a big difference especially with some of those nice 2.50$ sales

I think that it stays there for a month. Have you noticed sales in general go up? When I've had images in a lightbox my sales have rocketed as it brings attention to the portfolio.

Just wondered if anybody else is having a record month on fotolia. So far I have beaten my previous record by 45 downloads. Sales have been great this last week and I wondered if it is a general site thing or if this loss of keywords for some is still benefiting others. I hope that it is more a case of the site getting back to normal and that everyone is now making good sales.

I've had more EL's with StockXpert that from most other sites. The only place that beats it istock.
I've just realized that you're talking about stockxpert, I meant fotolia when i said I've had a lot. I've only ever had one at stockxpert but at 50$ it was the highest one I ever had.
