Shutterstock.com / Re: Will Getty buy Shutterstock?
« on: March 27, 2021, 06:17 »
Microsoft is buying Discord, Salesforce made Slak acquisitions, NVIDIA to Acquire Arm for $40 Billion/ It would be interesting to see a stock listed company (SSTK) being acquired by a non listed company, Getty.

Wow, so many acquisitions happening at huge cost.
And we are working in pennies, feel so low.

I remember the old time when PCs use to run on 98 and XP.
Whenever I try to download anything in those PCs the download bar always stuck at 99% completed and for that 1% you will have to wait hours or it fails at that last moment ;D

Hi Mat, I have a question. As you said that the first 10 keywords in the list are important so does this also imply on the description of the image?

279
I will just ignore it.. Its an automated email.

I get these several times in a month. I tried and enabled the exclusive rights option and waited for many months.
No potential buyer came. I then switched it off and again started getting those automated emails.

General Stock Discussion / Re: All down
« on: February 23, 2021, 05:42 »
The month looks ok for me, most of the platforms are working the way they should, and I got a few good news coming from Alamy.

There's only one platform doing significantly worse, it's Bigstock, but it's not like I care about them.

What good news from Alamy?

I am seeing this month very slow in all channels.
Are there any event? anyone else?

283
Not sure if I am right or wrong.

The page says that they are giving Unlimited access through API, nowhere it says that you can download unlimited.

284
is there any expiry of these codes or we can redeem it anytime in a year?

General Stock Discussion / Re: adobe creative cloud subscription?
« on: February 02, 2021, 22:18 »
My cloud subscription expires soon on Feb and we are supposed to get bonus codes too on Feb...
So, if I renew my plan and the codes arrives later then will those code be added to the renewed plan?

If you have the exact same plan as the one you received as a bonus and redeem the code using the same Adobe ID, billing is suspended for 12 months if you are billed monthly. If you paid for the full year in advance, the year of your CC bonus plan will start once your prepaid year is over.

-Mat

Thanks Mat.
Is there any specific date when the code will be sent in this month?

Adobe Stock / Re: My sales activity isn't loading
« on: December 24, 2020, 06:09 »
I'm still having problems - Chrome on a Mac (Catalina).

It appears that every so often, Adobe wants to suggest I should log in using their App. I see the ad, then when I click "Continue" I get a login popup asking for user name, but then that goes away and I get an error page from Chrome saying it can't load the site. I click on my bookmark and the page loads fine.

I'm guessing that it's the insertion of this ad that's gumming up the works, but I have no idea how to make it go away :)

Happened same here, try using the incognito mode

Isn't the timing interesting, just a few weeks to go before everybody goes to Tier1 earnings?

Why wasn't he notified a year ago?

Seems like they are trying to anticipate the huge public criticism they will soon receive by using a scapegoat to warn others.

Why only him?

Maybe they wanted to set him as an example, so others becomes alert.

I don't think it is any offence to show earnings.
The guys clearly says that he is a motivational video influencer and by sharing his earning he has referred many contributors to join shutterstock.

But at the end, he has also signed an agreement with Shutterstock which states that earnings should not be disclosed.
Same is the case with youtube too, people are not allowed to share youtube earnings too.

How secure are password managers??

How do you guys save your passwords when you have too many?

That's a affirmative "YUP!" on a password breach.

Must use different password on each place you are a member of.
If you have trouble remembering passwords, no problem. Just write them down in your own personal paper pad. Yes on paper and or save a set of your passwords on a thumb drive if you like too. I know its a pain to you but its necessary not to be "lazy" in turns of passwords.  Because hackers are hard at work wasting time hacking into weak accounts. Its easy for them to just make a living being a parasite, rather then being an honest person that has integrity and making their own legitimate money.

Also make sure you make passwords with not just letters and numbers but symbols too. Also use 2 factor authentication if provided for extra security.

Until we have something better, we have to do this "pain in the a$$" stuff to protect our stuff.

A little something extra.
I use FireFox monitor to monitor my emails for breaches But I'm sure there are many other aps out there that also do this.

I like to cover a little extra bases with this.  ;)

Firefox monitor really helped... Thanks a lot.

It is confirm that it was 123rf data breach.

Lesson learnt, now changing everything.

Did you have the same password in 123rf? They have been hacked.

Unfortunately, yes  :(

I am being bombarded with spam emails. Does this also comprises the email account?

Stuck on what should I do next.

You lie down with dogs (Shutterstock) you are going to get fleas. My money is on a ShStock hack.

Well I expected a more serious answer than a personal hatred.

I am suddenly getting tons of spam emails and in between those emails I saw that my Shutterstock payout address has been changed.

I do not share my passwords with anyone.
The only third party Shutterstock login I used is Stock Submitter. Is this the culprit?

Is my email account also hacked?
