Really going to put the pressure on Canon now. Borrowed a Sony on the weekend and could not believe how crisp the photos were compared to my 30D.

I think Canon will keep most of their loyal customer base simply because most have a stack of lenses and it is really hard to swap brands when you have so much invested.

Personally I think the new 5D needs to be cheaper than the Sony, and the old 5D is worth about $1200.

I have done a lot of cars. The reflections are a pain. I tried a filter and this did not work.

One way - short of the studio option - is to reduce the saturation.

Canon really have their work cut out here for the 5D. The D90 blows the 50D away.

I will be keen to see what they offer us with the 5D replacement, considering Sony is also going to give them a shove with the A900.
