Selling on Depositphotos and Motionelements you could quickly recoup expenses of helicopter and red camera

The membership program has been bad for contributors.  I we are making less money, Pond5 must be making less money too.  It's a stupid program.

I love your insightful analysis

So dazzle us with your insights.

I think you have to pay for that because he/she is so smart.

You are correct, show me the money

I only know that SS report for first quarter says that they paid to contributors 33 million. Thats 130 million to expect for 2016. In 2014 it was 84 million. I think Alamy paid 130 million in all the time they exist. So SS paid in one year the same as alamy in all their lifetime. First ace belongs to ss for unknown time.

Exactly. The poll has now lost most of its former credibility

You are some kind of joker or what?
Plot twist, he has stake in these agencies. And by screwing over the contributors they've made him/her rich

I would say he's smart. Due to the sheepish nature of people, this kind of post will entice a few contributors to submit to these agencies thus easing just a little bit the uploading onto the main agencies for a short period of time

Very happy DPC closed. That kind of website and name is very bad for photography as a profession, basically giving photos away. Photographers need to value their work higher and not support this kind of agency.

I dont get what is the advantage for the one that doctors Alamy up?????? Then SS also could be doctored. All other agencies including low earners have chance to be doctored. Why only Alamy you think???? For me it is simple. Alamy is doing well for many and those are voting here. There are here some people reporting alamy beating SS. If you dont get many sales then it is because you make typucal microstock photos or bad keywording. One thing is sure ... Alamy has great potential.

Incorrect assumption. I started off in macro on slide film long before micro was invented. My photos at Getty outperform my Alamy photos by over 1000%. Therefore I do well at my other macro agency and I do well at all my micro agencies. The only odd one out is Alamy. In fact Alalmy is the only agency where forum members seem to post gross earnings instead of net, probably because once the commission is taken off net looks way less impressive.

Dissolve don't really seem to have a business plan that fits in well with the other agencies. That's why I think they are struggling. Plus their contributor resources are non existent.

285
I'm in the membership program and my regular sales have increased since it started, not just membership clips but others as well.

Lowering prices to try and compete with membership pricing it not a good idea. I have my clips at minimum $79 after increasing them a few times. Increasing pricing did not slow down my sales.

286
whats your opinion about my profile on fotolia im just debutante : https://us.fotolia.com/p/205952409

If you are stealing other peoples work, your portfolio should disappear soon once someone reports you and agencies verify the plagiarism.

287
It's a complete myth that Alamy is doing well. I've been a contributor there for ten years and have thousands of photos. In comparison to my other agencies they are low grade performers. The poll is doctored.

288
Not sure how anyone could get excited or even contemplate offering footage to an agency with such low pricing. Be realistic, if you're not earning US$25 per download NET then you're going to struggle to be successful in the long run.

SS reporting seems back to normal

290
It usually takes at least a day to roll over. So it's gone one more day........ More odd is the complete absence of sales many are reporting in the last week, including myself. Something seems weird with the reporting.

I think a realistic and truthful position of Alamy would be about number 10. Its sudden climb cannot be taken seriously.

A top month despite the last few days which have been diabolically bad which is a concern

Typical Alamy I'm afraid, terrible sales ability combined with reporting that often results in refunds.

294
20+ sales just one refund so far. I find Alamy does the refund thing fairly regularly, enough for it to be annoying especially when I think they should just report on sales once they're final.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Paying 17,5$ - 1080p
« on: April 26, 2016, 18:37 »
So is there any way to differentiate between what are sales from Adobe and which ones are from Fotolia?

296
So after a few weeks of trialling $79 prices for all clips it hasn't worked. Not a single sale. Time to lower the prices reluctantly  :-\

If you have less than 1000 clips I'd say give it a lot more time than a few weeks.

I'm amazed anyone actually made a sale at ME, well done!

298
Fotolia is showing a clear sign of video sales growth probably due to the Adobestock integration.  This year's growth is accelerating now.  I'm seeing 3-4x sales compare to last year's same month.  Please don't tell anybody about this because it will "dilute" my sales.  LOL.

strange post, why the need to broadcast

Pond5 / Re: Pond5 Sales Reporting
« on: April 16, 2016, 13:34 »
I have had a large amount of clip page views this week. I know from past history that always results in some sales. Therefore I'd be fairly confident I have around half a dozen give or take unreported sales. However I suppose at this stage we can't do anything but wait for the next say to see what happens.

Got paid on time as usual. Not sure what the fuss was about there. Hopefully sales reporting is down for the last few days, it'd be nice to see a backlog of sales appear soon. However even if sales reporting has been down for a few days, I don't see how this translates into such doo and gloom unless others have factual info I don't know.
