Just my quick list: 1. 6 months of holding images 2. increased amount of subscription sales 3. falling RPI 4. new pricing policy 5. disabling images not deleting them 6. slowest disabling process for images, having to put a reason for each one 7. getting images rejected for having a model release 8. locking keywords on basically every image 9. giving away free images
I don't like 10. Changing policies for old contributors. No possibility to option-in/out or close account when TOS change. 11. Exclusive images - you can check in but cannot check out 12. Assignment images blocked for one year 13. They pay only 25$ for assignment image and in the same time recommend 250$ for others 14. "Selective" forum, what they don't like disappears 15. Very slow earnings compared to IS and SS 16. About 40%!!! commission drop. 17. No information send to contributors about important changes, like new prices policy 18. Lack of information about Partners program 19. Sometimes strange earnings like 0,24. DT team never explain that 20. Usually announces made are not clear, not precise for me. Like politicians speech. 21. Subscriptions not limited in size. 22. "sale is a sale" reasoning

After 3 years I've deleted my portfolio. It was a big mistake to wait so long. 20% commissions are unacceptable for almost no selling site.

125$ = EL at Istock (Unlimited Reproduction / Print Runs)

I upload original size files only to Alamy. Downsized to 12mp to Istock, downsized to 3-5mp to the sites with unlimited (by size) subscriptions. sRGB looks better on screen.

The last time I tried to start a thread about it (and mine wasn't complaining about the number of sales, or anything else), the thread was deleted with no warning or acknowledgment. It simply disappeared, along with the responses.
DT and FT (aka FL ) constantly vie for 1st when it comes to title of Censorship Leader.
Exactly, posts just disappear. Sometimes I don't understand why. I saw a thread from Keeweeboy just saying he was unhappy with new 30% commission (instead of 50%) deleted. immediately. Maybe Ceausescu still has the control ?

Crestock is not in the list. I knew it, Yuri is the owner and already has all the data

I don't see the issue. Sure, the lighting doesn't match the best, but aside from that, I see nothing wrong.
Agree, the lighting is bad

I disagree that the market will eventually see photos of Vetta caliber on other sites. At least not in a way that it would diminish the value of Vetta. I think 95% of microstock photographers won't bother spending the time or money to produce unique photos like the one's found in the Vetta collection. If someone chooses to produce the same quality, I bet they want a bigger share from the cake and join iStock so that they can submit to Vetta. iStock is way ahead of its competition.
Agree. I don't imagine myself spending a hole day and lot of money to produce 2-3 high quality images, and then upload them to FT or DT. I'll never get my money back. With Vetta it's possible. IMO an images that needs more, let's say, then 10 minutes and production cost exceed 10$ is not Faststock (microstock) worth.

I would say NO. I don't accept any more working for free.

I know....you go to heaven. But what happens in regard to your microstock accounts?
I have no idea but may be Achilles from Dreamstime can help you. Robert Mizerek's account (Rjmiz) is still there.

Neither IS nor "feed the beast". Just a dead beast.

LOL Lot of noise and no sales. Immature guys. They should first try to give us 10% what we make with IS and then start joking. Do you remember the day when Crestock bought Corbis (or Getty) ?

Hi Rene,
Have you thought about outsourcing your post production. There are companies that will do that for you so you can shoot more. More clicks more dollars.
Best, Jonathan
Jonathan, I can shoot more. Time and money is no problem for me. The problem is psychological. I don't like feel like an idiot investing much to get pennies back . The subscription system is not fair for contributors and not adapted for hi-level images.

Have you tried Alamy? They sell for higher prices than the micros. It takes a long time to get going there but I think it beats going exclusive and using vetta.
Thanks Sharpshot. I've completely forgotten Alamy. Yes, I've RF images there and I'm doing relatively good - Last year AL RF made more then BigStock+123rf+Creastock+CS together. And my images are blocked here for 6 months.

Yesterday I got 27.5$ for HD video at Pond5. The same sale at Fotolia makes me 3.7$. Seven time less! It would be a suicide to keep footage portfolio here. I've deleted all my videos. My old photos at FT are hi-res - subs were limited to 4mp. Now it's not true anymore. So my new files will be downsized for FT (like for SS and DT). Maybe it's stupid but it makes me feel better. I'm not referring FT any more.

I'm a little bit tired to upload to many sites. IS is my best earner (about 40% of all RF income). So with exclusive commission, in theory, I'll not lose so much. I really like Vetta. I already have some files, sleeping on my hd, that could go there. I'm ready to invest money to make more creative shoots - these kind of photos that I'll never sell for pathetic subscription price. What makes me hesitate go exclusive is that IS can change. So I'm thinking about not cancel accounts and keeping possibility to come back. At some sites we can just 'hide' files without deleting. It seems that at - SS we can keep all files and deactivate them with one click. Then reactivate wit one click - DT - deactivate one by one, then reactivate one by one - FT only delete - StockXpert - only delete. StockXpert will be probably dead before the end of the year so no big lose - BigStock - only delete. 1-2% of my income. Can live without. Any thoughts about multi-sites come back (after canceling IS exclusivity)? Thanks

Very bad. I'm in my 'deleting mood'. Crestock, Canstock, 123rf and videos at FT are gone. BigStock is next on my list.

I've started uploading to Pond and Fotolia 3 months ago. I have 13 dls with Pond so far. All earning were higher or equal to 20$. No rejections. Easy to upload. I like them. In the same time I sold only 1 file with Fotolia. I have deleted all videos from FT. New earnings (3.7$ for 1080HD) are unacceptable. I don't want to see Pond's customers going to FT.

Thank you all. Good news I didn't need any filter. Bad news I have taken 0 (zero) photos. It was raining (overcast sky).

Tomorrow I will try to shoot the solar eclipse, photo and video. Have no experience on it. Any tips ? Should I use filters ? Thanks.
