My database was completely empty. It's like they copied just the tables but none of the content that was inside those tables. I deleted my images off my site so I could start over.
I haven't gotten around to setting up the network yet. I'm working on a watermark and getting that right before I start uploading. Once I get a few images online I'll enable the network.

Well I tried the db thing didn't work. Somehow all my WP stuff got wiped out and hasn't recovered.
I'm stuck with starting over again uploading. Which is fine I have all my sites pages saved from the original db export. I have to rebuild my menus and stuff.
At least I can make my own watermark before I start. Which the process will work quicker now that I'm on a paid plan and I did some test uploads before the whole thing went south and it worked alright.
Hopefully this will go quicker this go around.

I think I need to do a database backup from the old server. Just can't remember how to put that into the new database.

I'm also now wondering if it's a database thing and it's not picking it up? Course how many issues am I going to have if I need to reinstall word press. All my custom pages would disappear wouldn't they?
I'm backing up my site myself where do the custom pages live in WP or are they saved in the SY theme somewhere?

That was the way it looked before I got back to working on it this week.
Right now I'm downloading a back up of this site from the free host section. I just don't understand why it went back to that. All I did today was work on uploading and editing nothing else.

Did it all through WP. The weird thing is that all my image files are there they're just not showing up for some reason.
My site was migrated from a free host to the paid hosting and it was just fine earlier then went poof including all of the changes I made this week before going with the paid hosting.
It's a head scratcher that's for sure.

I deactivated it and reactivated it but for some reason that's not working at all.

All was working fine up until around an hour ago. Received an email symbiostock_network_update and my site reverted back to a previous version before I got back online this week. I don't know if it's a dns issue or something else. I looked through the forum to see if anyone else had this problem and didn't find one. I'm pretty well clueless if it's going to correct itself or not. images.mddu.com has the Symbiostock logo on it now and no other images. I had it all nice and fixed this week with my logo and some of my images. Just got another network update and it hasn't reverted back. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Anita

That's actually the last thing I have to do before going live is user signup and test purchase. Which probably won't be for another two days. My free site has to mitigate to my paid site.
Just nice that everyone's talking and other's helping to resolve problems everyone sees. Definitely better tech support for this than anything I've come across for other things.

I remember reading another thread on here that clicking live worked better than sandbox. The sandbox is a pain to set up and run properly. I did that when I had a Zen Cart to sell physical goods it wasn't fun nor easy to set up. Very happy to see you got it worked out

Site: http://images.mddu.comHost: byethost http://byethost.comUpgraded to a paid hosting plan the other day. I'm still waiting on the nameservers to catch up which is absolute torture. I still have some testing to do before I can finish uploading and start promoting it. *edit* Decided to modify instead of post new. The nameservers were already caught up, what was failed to mention in the FAQ or even on the message board that you needed to contact support to migrate the site from free to paid. It was working fine then the database reverted back to what it was before I started working on the site again. It must've still be pulling information from the free host database (another thing that there wasn't information on). Right now I'm happy just wish I could've foreseen those issues beforehand.

No matter how you slice it, dice it and crunch numbers we're not getting the entire picture. Are those numbers pure profit or total revenue after the costs of running the company and payments (either made or still accruing) to contributors?

I upgraded my hosting from free to paid yesterday. I'm just waiting on the domain to take the new nameservers.

My upgrade finally took now it's just a matter of waiting for things to sync back up again. So my site is offline for the moment for around 24-72 hours thought I don't believe I've ever needed to wait that long.

Unless you live in Minnesota (1) or New Jersey (2)...you're out of luck coz that's where the winners are from.

In my case I don't have a set thing that I do. My port is extremely diversified considering that I don't do people shots.
Still wondering if I should way to enable the network or wait.

I envy you. I can't upload the rest of my port until the upgrade is finished. Wouldn't be a bad idea to network with similar but then there's something that nags at me with that. What if they need something other than nature? It's confusing and ultimately up to us to figure that out.
Me I have my hands in everything I do vectors, 3d and photos. Would I try to connect with those that do the same or make my network as diverse as possible?

Been working on finishing up my site today. Upgraded my hosting tonight but that takes 24-48 hours to propagate after that have to update other things. It got me to wondering when I should set up the network. Should I do it now or wait until after I do my updates after my upgrade.
Any advice would be most appreciated.

When I was looking at it last night in order to add paypal to it you'd have to upgrade to their pro plan. Didn't know about them hosting it though.

I was just wondering since Deposit Photos was and still won't log me in. I thought you might've gotten the sites mixed up. Just me thinking out loud. Sorry.

I can log into DT just fine. Are you sure you meant to say Deposit Photos and not Dreamstime? I can't seem to log in to that site just goes back to the main page of the site.

I think I found my error why that was showing up again. I had originally put one of my own images in the background and fiddled with that to try to make it look right. It wasn't working out so well so I commented out the background code not realizing that the original background image would come back.
I hope I fixed it just too hard for me to tell.

I took the bgnoise.png file into photoshop and just painted over it with a white brush. Since I couldn't seen the speckles because of this monitor, I can't tell if it worked or not.
So Leo if you have a chance check it again and see if that worked.
Thanks.

It is a CSS fix
#symbiostock_main_search #select_type{ display: none; }
It's buried in another thread but I had my CSS file handy.

Yeah I actually just finished fixing it a few seconds ago. The images didn't like the permalinks set at default so I changed it and all is well.
