Im sorry if this is of-topic or i should start a new Topic for my problem.
I had a problem with payout on Adobe contributor, it was only showing Skrill, ( no paypal ) Also the currency was automatically set to Korean WON.
So i started a Chat on contributor help panel, i said to him that i a cannot find paypal but just skrill, He said he can help me, so he reset my account, my portfolio was gone!, but the worst my earnings also gone! . he said he was not aware that im an contrubotur and can not do anything, and repeated i should by a subscription, or converse my lost earnings in a subscription?
This is miserable, Adobe has made money with my content, but i got nothing!
Start a new thread if your portfolio has not returned. I imagine the earnings figure was probaby being transferred. I doubt the Chat is a scam.

Minimal sales there these days anyway.
But Dr C is right: FTP uploads don't process the images in the upload queue. You have to import them which can take ages before anything shows ....even on a good day...

At the rate I'm selling photos on Storyblocks it should take me roughly 300 years to meet the minimum payout level.
600 years now.

Yes, I got it twice too. Maybe they do need a new one - but the old one is only 6 months old. Will watch this space. Still, reassuring to see I am not alone I guess........

Anybody else got an Action required email re
....we are reaching out to notify you about changes to our tax requirements that may impact your payment. Starting in July 2018 we will require all contributors to have an approved tax form on file with Shutterstock in order to be eligible to receive a payment of accrued earnings from Shutterstock. In order to receive your accrued earnings in August, please ensure that you have submitted a tax form and have had it approved by July 31, 2018. For additional information and detailed instructions please go to the Tax Center in your contributor account. etc etc I have a valid W8BEN with them and am just a bit bit concerned. ?

Thanks Kasper, I have used your service. This was a more general enquiry about the IS Getty site. Anybody?

On ESP Getty, I see no option for disambiguating keywords etc any more. OK, I can use DM or QHero, but surely this ability also exists on the site so I don't have to use a 3rd party setup? Or maybe that too has gone..... ANybody know please?

Thanks. I have it! But now I need help. I have a couple of queries. I see there is a chat system if I register (is there no other email system? I see nothing on your website). So I try to register and so I click Register. The system takes me to your website, but tells me: Specified e-mail address is invalid or already in use. (Yep, it is probably me.) When I try to add a password - twice - it then says: Specified passwords do not match. But they do...... I guess I looked at this before or something. But how do I now register please (ideally not through FB). And/or where can I get help. I really don't want to take over this thread for my own personal Q and As. PS yes, I have watched 3 tutorials on Youtube. Ta. Sorry if this is all obvious......

I was thinking of trying this system, but seems the free option is unavailable. To log in/download the programme you have to set payment details and it wants 10......

But on the other hand....now there is no more Marketplace, where do I get to see any sales (!!!) and how would I go about getting them if ever they mounted up?

Yep. Subs month for me too which is always a bit of a worry. But I imagine the wheel will turn again.......

I gather there is also another petition against it. Along the lines of the cost for companies to implement automated tools to ensure compliance will be huge so only big ones will be able to comply and will therefore control the market and there is a risk that everything will ultimately be watched online..... though I thought the latter happened anyway! (Just try saying something even a tad controversial and watch the reaction...!) Be nice if people didn't just NICK stuff!!!!!!

Hmmm...can't go much lower. I've basically abandoned Marketplace but some images remain. Last year, 3 sales in total for: $10.20 $1.72 $0.45.

When will these unproven sites understand that the easier the upload, the more likely that we persevere with them?
If their upload system was easy, then I'd probably still send up. Nothing ventured etc. BUT.... the rigmarole of temporary ftp which needs resetting every time.... life is too short for such a small sales agency!
Oh well.

Yep, another site where any creature or plant with a Latin name is unsearchable - not to mention foreign place names which also fail to register in the controlled vocabulary. And if they ain't there then no AI on earth will find them. Jolly dee.
You can't be talking about Getty? Scientific names are searchable there (if they are in the CV, which is addable via request). The downside being that as the CV maps the vernacular name to the scientific name, people who spam have the species listed by scientific names also, which tends not to happen on other sites, as only a small percentage of spammers bother to spam the scientific name. Meaning if you search by the scientific name on most sites, you get a reasonably clean result apart from a few genuine mis-IDs and extremely dedicated spammers, but on Getty, especially iS, the result is as bad as searching on the vernacular.
Few non US scientific names feature, or places. You can request (though I don't think there's an easy way to do this now) but they don't necessarily get added or become searchable. And in upload there is not the option to add them. Effectively lost in space.

Yep. I own up. Even though I can't put any expenses against it!
