Dreamstime.com / Re: DT become new SS ?
« on: July 25, 2008, 16:54 »
Subs have not increased near as much at DT as they have on StockXpert for me. Earnings are still staying about the same though.

^ You forgot to put the June numbers in?

123RF / Re: why is 123rf FTP server so slow?
« on: July 02, 2008, 09:32 »
Very slow for me as well. I didn't try what you suggested yet tho Alex.
It uploads for me at about 21 KB/s when the usual speed for uploading is about 120 KB/s.

^ Done. Here is a new one of mine that was accepted today.

Bigstock.com / Re: BigStock Deletion
« on: June 29, 2008, 09:32 »
When you upload any image to Bigstockphoto, you have to check the box stating that the images will be online for at least 90 days. You can't blame them for following their own policy that you accepted. If they do it for you, then they have to do it for everyone, and that would defeat the purpose of it being there in the first place.

I doubt there is anything you can do.

I've only been on 123RF for about 15 days or so now. So far I have been very happy. My 2nd day I got an EL, and have had multiple other sales since then. So far it looks to be comparable to Fotolia, or at the very least Bigstock.

Here is some proof that it helps search rank. This is by popularity, the default search order on StockXpert. My new image (submitted yesterday) ranks 10th with 60 views and 2 comments. No downloads. It doesn't work as well with old images though.

Commented the one above. Here is mine. Will do this one 1 more time.  ;)

UPDATE:

Been awhile. I haven't been uploading much so I haven't posted anything here. But, now I have. It seems they have gotten rid of the rating bit, so we can't do that anymore. Just comment and view. If their search rank is the same as before, the views + comments should still bump the images up, especially on newly accepted images, so I suggest posting them here.

I viewed + commented on yours Gregor909. But it seems you don't need much help on that one! 88 downloads since you posted that.

Here's mine: (uploaded today)

Yaymicro / Re: YAY - How long will you give it?

None at all :)
I never bother uploading to a site until it proves itself to be worthwhile.

Same with me.  ;)

Shutterstock.com / Re: Six Color Versions Upload
« on: June 25, 2008, 10:58 »
You can get away with it as long as you don't upload the same image with 2 different colors in the same batch.
(ex. upload the orange version, it gets accepted. then upload a blue version, it gets accepted.)

If you do it to your whole gallery it will be obvious though.

Crestock.com / Re: Yippee made a sale

Crestock hasn't been bad for me. Comparable to Bigstock, way above Snapvillage and Featurepics.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Istock subs... How much did you get?
« on: May 26, 2008, 07:53 »
The site is back up and the packages are now to be seen. The least expensive option is $599.

Hmm. Thats a bit expensive. Not sure how attractive that will be to buyers.

Web templates maybe.

I suggested that on their forums. Didn't get much of a response. I hope that's what it is though.
