Ok, I did live in CA for 25 years and have been accused of being a hippy. Have no strict diet limitations but do try to eat healthy. By highly processed I mean a lot of preservatives are used in the hamburger ingredients. Have you read "Fast Food Nation"? A real eye opener. I work in advertising and think this is a very clever campaign, but introducing this foreign food to these people reminds me of missionaries pushing a religion.

I'm somewhat disturbed that they are feeding these people highly processed food ingredients. Not the healthiest thing, in my opinion, but I do like a good hamburger every now and then in great moderation.

Just saw an IS ad on the YouTube front page. We'll see if this brings in more customers. Hope so!

Also very good here. Should be much better sales than the last couple of months and IS is #1 for me this month by far. Got a couple of large file sales this week for $3.36 which was very nice as well. YAY! About half of my latest downloads on the first page are new files with 1-3 downloads each.

I had 1 JIU sale today but none of the previous downloads have been recorded yet. Also no StockXpert or Photos.com sales at all this year so far. Rather concerning.

Didn't have many expectations when I started last March. Just wanted to try it out to see what would happen. I did have some success this year and enjoyed the extra income along with keeping my full time job as a graphic artist. My goal for next year is to double my income.

I think everyone is on vacation here at the end of December

OK good. Best day for downloads this month All my best sellers are back in the front where they were before my sales plummeted. I'm guessing that once the holidays are over I should do a lot better than Oct., Nov., and Dec. Very optimistic now.

My company will possibly be designing and producing a calendar for one of our clients to give away to their customers. If they were to use some of my East TN landscape shots with a name credit and based on my limited experience in selling photography (about nine months), what would be a fair price to ask for each photo used? Thanks for any help

Rained really hard last night here in Knoxville, Tennessee. Since it has been in the 50s and 60s for a week or so, the grass is turning light green. Just temporary though until it gets colder. We don't get much snow anymore, around an inch or so for the season. Lovely moderate climate.

Thanks miskolin, didn't really think about it being good publicity and you could even drop a calendar off at local gift shops and galleries. For next year I may check around with local printers because there are a lot to choose from where I live and the prices should be competitive. Always like to give personalized gifts instead of buying something. Usually makes me feel as good as the person receiving the gift.

What do they say? "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." I wouldn't let the copiers interfere with your creativity and good work.

Amazing. I wouldn't submit anything to Alamy from the G10 if I had one, getting something from a G7 accepted is interesting.
I also have a 10MP G7 and occasionally submit photos from this camera which are accepted on all sites. I use the manual setting mode to keep everything from getting overexposed.

Actually, my family donates money to a chosen charity every year instead of buying a bunch of gifts we don't need. The calendar is just a compilation of local photos and vacation shots that I know they would enjoy looking at throughout the year. I don't think many people would like looking at environmental damage or negative message pictures every day on a calendar because all they have to do is turn on the news or look at the millions of pictures online. We're saturated with bad news, all day, every day. Why add to it? Also, if you focus on the negative, you will attract more of that into your life (my personal hippy opinion).

Have you tried Lulu? http://www.lulu.com/ I used them for several projects. My motocross calendar turned out very nice.

Yes! I did take a look at this site. The price for a large calendar was actually a little more than Apple. How about mypublisher or winkflash?

It looks like maybe what people are reporting is just ebb and flow, and no real change in best match or other policies. As for me, it continues to be a whole lot of ebb and not much flow.
Well the best sellers that were at the very end of my portfolio for weeks have started moving forward so there definitely is SOMETHING going on. Remember? They said they were going to slowly dial up the change.

Well, you are a very nice person and I believe good things happen to kind souls. You deserve it. I wish you all the best and hope for great success in the coming new year. Good luck with your inspectors applications.

Just passed my November total (with the help of 1 EL) and sales are becoming a bit more consistent. My bestsellers are moving forward from the back of my portfolio a little more every day. Starting to feel hopeful again.

Hi all For the holidays this year I created a 2009 calendar using the iLife and IPhoto software on my Macintosh. Basically, I plugged in my photos to their template and sent it off to Apple to produce. The price was $20 plus shipping (around $6.00) for a 10x13 wire bound calendar and the quality was excellent (photo pages coated stock, calendar pages uncoated). I'm getting requests for more of these and I'm wondering if any of you with more experience have any suggestions for a more cost effective way of producing them? Do you think it would be best to use a local printer with a digital press to do short runs since I have InDesign to set up the document? Or is their an online alternative that would work better? Thanks for any help

My files uploaded with ProStockMaster are keeping their IPTC data but now there is a new problem - the Allow Prints and Allow Subscriptions boxes are unchecked. Weird
