I do believe that the prices need to be updated, 180$ for 750 pictures is 28% cheaper than SS :(

3829
1 is enough ahah but I am sure if they score 1 I will want a ton more :)

fora PORTUGAL!!! ;D

Both files are no longer available.  Is the contributor's account still active?

I just noticed the same thing.  I'm curious whether the account is still active too.  Wish I had bookmarked the contributor.
His/her entire portfolio is gone. I hope it's just an investigative measure, would be a shame if this thread caused the boot from iStock...  :-X

ouch! now I need to go! (heavy cleaning in my portfolio) ;D

Adobe Stock / Re: How fast you can fall?
« on: June 20, 2012, 21:49 »
I think if customers buy images from photographer who has lower rank in FT, then FT can keeps more revenue. For example, from the ranking White to Gold (non-exclusivity) have the same price but they share different commission.

Although photos from Emerald to Diamond are more expensive, FT can share more. But maybe customers can find the same images easily with lower price in many other agencies (especially for non-exclusivity). So when my ranking is Bronze, I don't feel the "fall" at all. In actually, since 2012/01 my weekly rank jump from 8000 to 4000 then to 2000.

if so why don't buyers leave them and join SS per example once they can get 750 files for 250$ (not saying I want that) but I am sure most of the files are in there too (actually those and a few more millions), not to mention that we would all feel this down trend not only top contributors (they would feel more right)

I believe they have changed their "best match" which is hurting top contributors, doesnt make much sense once they do most of FT money even paying more royalties

I am silver, a lot lower ranking but I am feeling that change too, overall I have been getting better place (today at 4270) but the weekly have been jumping a lot between 1400 (lately) to 750

Wow! Weekly under 1000..........it would be a dream for me!! Me silver too, overall around 5,000. Saw 3,500 momentarily last week but haven't sold anything this week and my weekly average is still better than my overall............is nobody selling anything then? Seems out of whack to me.

last week was pretty awesome, over 60 sales but this one doesnt look very bright, will see

To me, the sky looks fake. The mountains look great, with a little lightening, as already noted.

yep a little, he can always lower the blues saturation :D

nice tip Duncan! it seems a little slow (the series editor), I am doing a few ;D

1 - serie name is quite small, consider increasing it
2 - a search by keyword would be nice too

They're growing for me also, I might barely notice the commissions cuts next year and if they keep on growing further, well they can just cut again and I still won't notice much change. Yay! Lets just keep reporting back how happy we are to encourage them further  :D

 ;D ;D ;D

I'd love to see a review system introduced into football in which the captains of each team could challenge the ref's decision, say twice in each match for incorrect challenges, and technology used to determine the outcome.

+1 but not on faults

The sad part is that there will likely be many photographers signing up, even members of this forum. History showed that if there is a promise of some income - even $0.01 a download - there will always be people that will join. :(

I dont see a single person posting in this thread willing to take the cent (are they hiding ashamed?)

for sure there will be tons of "togs" but not the ones wanting to keep their income and in a certain way wish to keep a reasonable perspective in the microstock business

I believe they arent paying for downloads, that said Yotola might have a few more files because of that, I have talked with them and they have already a few contributors on their side

3846
Changing it to 30%, means they will reject a hell of a lot,  PM, dont like the idea of spreading shots around too much, especially not the cheaper sites. So, Hobsons choice really.

I dont see them rejecting a lot having the 30%, always had since day 1

I am not competition to anyone in DT as explained before my 82 photos made 1,30 I think I had 6 DL.

Instead of deleting your portfolio, maybe upload better photos? Seriously - 6 DL off of 82 photos is pretty bad and is indicative of a portfolio which isn't very stock friendly. That's not the agency's fault.

I guess you are forgetting that we are talking about DT, not SS :D

or are you having a lot better ratio?

3849
Yes! England won and ended at the top of their group :)
The score counts - not very convincing performance plus a disallowed goal of Ukraine - close one...

I agree, very crappy England today

« on: June 19, 2012, 17:57 »
yep I wondered that would be your answer, quite divided about your wish myself

1 - suitable for contributors that arent going to upload much in a near future (keeping income a lot stable)
2 - a big mess like it was when DT pulled out a similar model (very bad for top contributors with heavy production)
3 - new and average contributors would be punished (unless they change their own game)

what I think it should be done? perhaps a big cleaning ;D
