Always ready to help Leo arent you!
ITs not so much that I want it - I just want to know what the benefits would be. It seems the more ways you can verify your own content the better, but whats the downsides? Really want to hear from people who know more about this than me (pretty much everyone!)
I do ZERO social networking stuff and pretty much want to keep it that way. But I made my G+ profile in case it would be useful for more authorship markup on my site.
If you want to add it in Leo, I'm sure it would be great the way you suggest - just enter the ID and the theme do the rest.

Just upgraded my Google account to get Google+. REALLY don't want the social side of it, was just thinking it could be used for SEO purposes for my site and to add another level of authorship to it.
But I am SO CONFUSED!! Can anyone explain simply for me the authorship steps for authenticating as the author of my work? And is it worth it? Will it actually accomplish anything?
Man i'm so not into this social media stuff!

Good to know! Good for others to know too I think BTW - is it possible and relatively easy for you to make the Process Images page paginated, rather than one long list of endless images? That way, we could choose to view say 20 images at a time and click the "all" tick box like all other image list pages have to quickly select 20 images to process, rather than manually clicking on 20 separate images? It wasn't a problem when you could process 100 images all at once with no issues, but now that we are processing only 15-20 images at a time (to prevent time outs etc) it would be handy.

Have noticed a REALLY frustrating thing...
I just uploaded 200+mb of files to my site. Then I got distracted with other things, came back, upgraded my site to the newest version. Now my new uploads (that weren't processed yet) are GONE!
This triggered a memory of something similar happening before. I think when you upgrade the theme you loose any uploads that haven't yet been processed to drafts!
Can anyone else confirm this?

I just checked and our 123RF images are there without any image attribution at all http://www.inmagine.com/timhester1008/pro7611750-photoother than in the URL. They go for a flat $16 it seems - wonder what we get on 123RF for that? (sorry Sean, doesn't help with your question i know)

if its that annoying for people I could just loop through them at creation and update a site option that they've been initially created. Then on next installs it will check - and if its already done the process it will skip it.
Yep, this needs to be done. I brought this up a few weeks ago, but glad its being talked about again. So painful to have to delete all categories again on every update. In your implementation Leo can it just check if categories exist at all (or on the first install ALONE add them all) and then not add them. What I mean is, I have SOME of the symbio categories, but I have deleted others or changed their name. So I don't want it to add categories I have deleted, thinking "well I checked for this category and he doesn't have it, so I will auto add it". I think just a blanket "does he have categories? Yep, then I wont add any at all" approach is the best solution.

? So its no insult to writers that suggesting every photographer can write a news story. Firing the writers is ok, and a more logic move for a news paper? Sigh
That was not my suggestion. It was a comparison, both scenarios being equally as absurd.

whats the first thing you look at when you pick up a paper? The photo and the headline!
So why not fire all the reporters and get the photographers to just write a few words...? They can even dictate it into an iphone... When you think about it, it's about as insane as what they've done.

Worrisome is right. Makes me kind of glad I branched out of photojournalism when I did.

GL contributors check your site mail, there is a new message waiting. I don't want to post the whole thing here, figure that is up to the staff at GL to do if they want. But in short, here is some of it:
In January 2013, Google announced their new image search functionality. This new format has significantly hindered our traffic and sales.
As a fair trade contributor site, it is very important to us to maintain the current contributors commission rate of 52%, so we will have to make adjustments in other areas. Effective June 1, 2013 we will be executing the following changes:
1. Suspending the seller referral earnings program 2. Significantly reducing our review team and staff 3. Postponing new contributor admittance
They term it a "temporary downsizing". I know a lot of people have tried to get behind GL, especially during the istock D-Day debacle, but it seems one change in Google has impacted dramatically.
I hope they can come out of it ok.

Had some done really quick in last few weeks, but this last few batches is taking some time. Not quite sure, but might be up to nearly 2 weeks wait now.

update seems to have removed my categories from my symbiocard? Nothing is listed under it now on my author page, was fully filled just a few minutes ago prior to the update...

seem to have lost the ability to have ordered and unordered lists show up properly. No bullet points or numbers appearing. See my homepage http://thpstockphotos.comUnder the heading "Buying stock photos & vectors direct Why?" there is an unordered list, but no bullet points. tried changing it to OL but no luck either

After I kill the nasty bugs I can give attention to those if you send me a memo on email along with maybe some sort of Australian cool Australian soda or treat or something...
But your last item - lengthening bio - I tried to keep the verbage short so your image verbage keeps SEO spotlight.
Will do, and good point on the last point jar of vegemite on the way...

ah ok cool. Noticed a couple of funny things... http://thpstockphotos.com/image/lush-grass-2/ (just as an example, any picture page will do it) Click on any of the text below the image - the description, the author bio or the image updated section and watch it dance! (click LOTS to see what I mean better). Why is this text not just text now? How come it can be clicked? And can we stop it from doing that!? Also, the drop down that you have on the image page (as above), the default item in the list that shows up is "Photographer Info" and it's clickable - but it doesn't do anything. Could it direct you to the author page instead? Seems more logical to me. Also, where its got my name under the picture, "Tim Hester", could we have an option to append some text in front of it, such as "Image by" or "(C) THP Stock Photos / "or whatever we like, so that it sort of acts as a byline for the picture? Lastly, the bio summary that shows up on the image pages, can it be lengthened a little, so that there's not as much empty space created by having the authors picture showing up there?

Had two sales (3 files) today within 3 minutes of each other. I have the Paypal app on my phone with instant notifications, it's nice to see the cash roll in!
It's been a great month, I have surpassed by best month ever at Dreamstime with my SY revenue.
Very well done! Congrats!

Sorry if I'm a bit slow, but what does ticking the 'promote' tick box on the Marketing page do exactly?
And what is the difference between exclude and delete on this page?

Leo - not quite a bug, but could the author page's URL use the Author's nickname field in the WP User area, rather than the unchangeable username field?
e.g.: this is my author page's url
http://thpstockphotos.com/author/infotimhester-com-au/
because my it's using my email address that I signed up with, and WP doesn't allow me to change this in my user options. But this really has no relevance for my author's page. Plus i'd rather it not be on display.
Instead, can it be our user profile's nickname, so I could make it
thpstockphotos.com/author/tim-hester
which is much more relevant for SEO plus better for how each user wants it.
Is this possible, as I really think this needs to change?
BTW - Feel free to grab my CSV from that link above if you want to link to my site anyone. I was a bit slow getting into V2 so I seem to have lost some linkers!
Let me see if I can do that. I think there's more than one way to link to that page.
Thanks leo, I really think this would be beneficial to change to make it relevant.
