Why in the he** are they removing so many sports images .... godalmighty!
Maybe because Istock is Istock and Getty is Getty

$9 given away so far :)

If you assume $1 per clip bonus (it's 50 cents to $1.50), that's 9 clips...

STAY AWAY

Jo-Ann I am not sure banner is working in real time.

Adobe Stock / Re: Out of office (for a month)
« on: July 24, 2020, 07:49 »
Hi Everyone,

I wanted to give you a heads up that after tomorrow (Friday, July 24) I will be on a one month sabbatical and will be offline most, if not all of that time. Instead, I'll be soaking up some sun and shooting lots of stock! I'll be back the end of August and will check in here then.

Should anything come up that you need assistance with, please write to us via the contact us link found at the bottom of the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal or via email to [email protected]. Someone will get back to you asap.

Stay safe and be well!

Mat Hayward

Have fun and sun

Yaymicro / Re: Yay reopening??
« on: July 21, 2020, 17:02 »
I closed my account about a year ago.
I asked them to pay what they owed me, but they never did.
Yesterday I received this email from them:

Hello, hello!

Here at the newly formed YayImages, along with new owners and management (working from home), we are undergoing some changes.

As one of our valued contributors, we would like you to be the first to know about some new initiatives at Yay.

First, customers can now purchase your images and vectors for $4.99 each, on our refreshed website.

We are seeing strong traffic and sales growth with the new single sales model as customers start to prefer paying for what they need, when they need it.  Some contributors are starting to see average image sale prices move up.

Second, as you know, we are refreshing our contributor dashboard and moving more services away from yaymicro, to the new https://contributors.yayimages.com/ dashboard.

Third, we are launching video footage single sales. The pricing model will be single sales only, customers pay for what they need, when they need it. We will share commissions on a 50/50 basis.

Pricing for video single sales, will be as follows:
      SD: $49
      HD: $59
      4K: $149

The first step you need to take to become a video contributor, is to login to the contributor dashboard and request approval.

Once approved, you will be able to easily send your mp4 and mov source files, through sftp.

With the current stay-at-home measures around the world & the work from home movement, we're seeing a high number of requests for video content.

Click here to login and request approval to become a video contributor.

Stay safe!

Together in photography,
Alex @ the YayImages Team

Hi,
any sale on ,,new,, Yay Images? Video and image?

411
AND alamy has one of the worst submission processes - if one image fails QC they reject the whole batch, and sometimes they don't even tell you which image, so you play a guessing game/ (and they reject some cameras outright rather than judging the actual images produced)
I do not have that problem around 3 years back from now

« on: July 14, 2020, 07:20 »
So I know that there is A LOT of stock agencies, but which ones for you are dead with no very low or no sales at all and are there any new ones that are worthy?
Make it easier - which agencies are Alive?  ;)

Maybe I just have respect to my self ...

No sweetheart. If you work with the SS you're an amateur. Pure and simple.
Sorry, I do not think only amateur work with SS because I know many photographer from there in person. Your judgment is wrong.
Btw.I sold that video with other agency.
Because I have respect to my self.

sold 64 videos yesterday for 84 cents each under 'clip packs'
I am not sure if I am doing good or you are doing bad.
I sold at same day only one video for $70
Maybe I just have respect to my self ...

If you believe in conspiracy theories - take a look at this thread.
Somehow I missed the response between the two last posts when I was screen grabbing.

Then "poof" the whole thread went missing. Gone from the group FB page.
Apparently, if you are the thread creator on FB, if you delete it all disappears.
Our "Facebook employee" took their own thread down when I called them out.

What do you guys make of this?

I saw some of her posts. Im pretty sure she was a FB/SS spy. But posts are getting flagged in a lot of FB groups (not just related to microstock) as being spam or goes against community standards, when they are not. I personally think it has to do with who FB does business with. I think they are monitoring groups closely that revolve around their ties to that industry. FB is aligned with SS, FB aligned themselves with pHARMa, like that.

I hope quoting this makes it stay, in case people change what they wrote. FB/SS spies? And trying to infiltrate the group? Really, like someone is so stupid that they couldn't just create a quiet account to watch. Let me help, a spy likes to work in secret not in your face and arguing, attracting attention to their devious plans and plots.

Yes, You can remove posts and comments that you have made on Facebook. You can remove comments others have made on something you've posted, but you cannot delete comments they've left on posts you didn't create. This is also quite ordinary and doesn't need any special access or authority.
I f I am correct FB is collecting also post or comment if you are not publishing or deleting before posting. If you just typing.

Around 9300 files out from sale for all week /video and pic/

...I do not want lose fight with disrespecting and stupidity.

thanks for sharing, makes sense for most of the images...

one image I don't get/understand is - the white block that is partially broken off? first of all, what is that? and second, I don't quite understand why someone would buy that? (the other images make sense to me - but that one - maybe because I don't know what it is, don't know why someone would want it?)

It's a block of brewer's yeast. During the lockdown here in Italy it became really difficult to find, so while making some bread at home I took a photo of it (a couple actually, but this is the one that sold the most).

ah, okay, haha, lol! i guess here we don't sell that - so I've never seen it before... I thought it was some kind of broken marble brick or something!

It was hard to find in US right now also, but you can still bay in some stores. You can by dry or fresh.
