WOW, nice chart,, oboy. I can see how useful it must be with all those agencies.
I was surprised at your DT results. Is that the norm for you?
DT is doing well for me 2-3 month and then 2-3 just the opposite. I have no idea why that is. Lately my approval rating is going down at DT. I am not sure if this has an effect in the searches. But DT is still one of my favorite sites.

One tip would be to use your own avatar and to write a short bio. When people find someone that they like, they are likely to go through this person following and followers list. You can hover over the user name to see the bio to decide if they like to follow.

The $ amount can only show up by the end of the month, because of the way they calculate the revenue for each dl per buyer. What will I get from Vivozoom?
Unlike many businesses, we offer a bi-lateral contract. This means that we cannot change it without your agreement. We also pay our contributors 40% of our receipts. By way of illustration: If a customer pays $300 for a monthly subscription and downloads 100 images, each image generates $3.00 and the photographer will earn a royalty of $1.20 per image (or 40%). However, if that same customer downloads only 10 images then the royalty becomes $12.00 per image.

If you sign up with Veer right now should you use the same username, email address, ... as you have it in SV? How do you merge both accounts later when starting the transfer to prevent double images?

2 February 2009 at 10:32 by Patrick Ashby and Rob Singer - QC team Posted under Advice and tips, News
As a follow up to the New QC procedures as a result of persistent failures blog (July 2008), we are now going to start freezing online upload privileges for a period of 30 days for those contributors who continually fail QC.
These contributors are repeatedly submitting the following:
* Images that contain gross technical errors. * Re-submission of images that have previously failed QC and have not been corrected. * Submissions which have had the problem images removed but no changes made to other images in the submission which also experience failure reasons.
We expect our contributors to understand our QC requirements and submit only images that meet these standards. We would like to ask contributors to be pro-active towards this situation. This can be done by taking the following steps:
* If you have failed QC go to Track submissions, within My Alamy to see why your submission failed. * If you do not understand the failure reason then look at the description of our failure reasons. * Before re-submitting, check ALL your images at 100% for any problems. * If you are still confused as to why you have failed QC why not look on the Alamy forum.
We are keen to reiterate that contributors who do not take these steps are becoming very time consuming, which impacts the turnaround time for all of our contributors. We will be tracking these contributors, and in extreme circumstances contributors will have their online upload privileges removed for a period of 30 days.
If you are a contributor having problems passing QC you may find these links useful:

Here's my stats for January 2009: Schutterstock = 30% Fotolia = 22% Dreamstime = 17% StockXpert = 13% 123RF = 6% Big Stock Photo = 3% Most Photos = 3% Can Stock Photo = 2% Photocase = 2% iStockPhoto = 1% SnapVillage = 2% My sale were up 63% compared to the previous month. But this is bringing me only back up to where I was in November, because I had a large drop in December. January started out very slow, but made up in the last two weeks. If the last two weeks are a preview of what is to come in February, then February will be a excellent month. Click here for a chart.

I just have a small clarification to the post from Oboy... Carbonite holds ONLY ONE version of your files. When the files are deleted from your local machine, Carbonite keeps the file for 30 days before deleting it. So only one version, but 30 days to recover files deleted by mistake.
Go in the restore mode and do a right mouse click on a file. There is an option to show and restore different version of a file. Maybe if a file was not modified in the last 30 days, then there is only one version and you can't see this option. This was not possible two years ago. I don't remember when they added this function. I do burn DVD from time to time as a backup too, but I don't have to remember it all the time. I had to restore a few time some files that I accidentally deleted and had never problem restoring them with this service.

I use it for the last two years and I am happy with it - no problems so far. Before I used Carbonite, I did not make that many backups and was always nerves about to loos my data. Two years ago when I finally decided to subscribe to an online backup, I decided to use Carbonite because: flat fee with unlimited space. I listen sometimes to the radio show Leo Laporte http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Laporte and Carbonite makes it always to the top on his list. So that was two years ago and I am not sure if they are still the best, but I have no reason to change. The program is running in the background and is backing up your data when your computer is idle. Depending on your internet connection upload speed, you can calculate how long the initial backup will take. This can easily take 3-4 weeks. But after this it is only a few files every day. You can set drives, folders and files for backup or not to be backed up. The restore function also let you choose different version of you backed up file. I am not sure how far you can go back in time on file version.

Searching the database on the German site for "Lebensmittel", then I receive ~ 2247 images. When searching on the English site for "food", then I receive ~ 105 images.
France site "nourriture" = 189 images Spanish site "alimento" = 1344 images
Do you need to keyword in multiple languages? If the site is correctly translating all keyword, then these search term should have a similar result. At least not that big of a difference.
