So, anyone has sold a video in iStock for more than 0.63 usd? Non-exclusive. Thanks.
If that's the best price you got, why on earth do you sell video there?
That's my question! Is that the best? Why tf is so low?

No you can also get 9$ sales for video as non exclusive.
Is that often?

Enviado desde mi ALP-L29 mediante Tapatalk

Yeah they're quite regular but I guess it depends of the subject matter of your portfolio. If you start getting low sales for video thou through their partners or low res, 'higher' sales should technically follow, give them a few more months.
Good to know... Thanks.

So 60Fps - 4k video for 0.63 cents - it's just bizarre. From January I will start to upload to other stock agencies.
Good decision.
Video exclusivity at iS hasn't made any sense for years, if it ever did.
So it's worse for non-exclusive video?
I would imagine so (I don't do video).
Still, you may choose to focus not on individual sales, but average rpd or total $$ earned. I'm not sure that iS video fares well on any of these stats, but that's just from what I'm reading.
Indeed. For pictures it has some crazy 0.01-0.1 sells but the overall rpd and total is good. But for video it seems like it's not worth it. Plus it only accepts mov while the rest of the sites use mp4

They could easily report which pictures have sold under which licence without specifying how much for.
Indeed. They kind of do that but in a weird hidden way.
I can only find reference to the number sold rather than the actual image?
That is true. It's just a whole number. You can use the app to see the views everyday but it's more guessing than actually the accurate data. Istock should change that! And why they take 20 days to report the previous month?

Thanks a lot! It seems like payoneer works well with my local bank while PayPal is a mess in Colombia.

I'm so sad I can't buy files like I use to. Does anyone know of a place like fotolia where you can just buy the size you need?
Dreamstime, I guess.
Moderator should move this to Adobe so Mat can see and hopefully advice people at Adobe.

First of all, I am based in Europe and as far as I know Payoneer only allows to withdraw money in local currency (so not USD), which is exactly the main Paypal issue (high conversion fee).
I have seen a lot of positive feedback on Payoneer on this forum, but not quite sure what the reason is. Can you please enlighten me ?
I have the same question! Anyone know about this? Is Payoneer better than Paypal to withdraw in a local bank account? In my country (Colombia) you cannot use Paypal, so it only works for some online payments.

It's because of the credit system. They wait that people buy certain amount of pictures each month with their subscription. It's kind of silly but actually if someone just buy one picture (yours) with a subscription or pack you are lucky

Horrible month but my RPD still higher than SS.

My rpd is depressing, but then I'm not on SS, Adobe etc.
Still, the overall total is still much higher than my Alamy total (different files).
The overall total is the best in November. More than SS with its depressing sub. But it was lower than October.

Dissolve / Re: Is it worth uploading to disolve?
« on: December 18, 2018, 20:50 »
From my experience.

They limit your uploads. I think when I first joined it was 25 clips per month and I requested this limit to be lifted, but they only gave me 125 per month instead.

It takes between 1-3 months to review content and they aren't too harsh with their reviewing.

Metadata tagging is possible and fairly simple.

I see sales monthly and it is ranked my 6th most successful out of 11 agencies for 2018.

Your monthly sales are reported mid month for the previous month. So I've today just received November's sales, which isn't great as I can't see day by day sales.

Monthly payments direct to PayPal.

Would I recommend them? Yes. They're one of the easier agencies to work with, especially for uploading and tagging if you have a metadata sheet to hand. My gripes are the restrictions on uploading, review times and the updates to payment frequency.
Which are your first five?

I appreciate all the great feedback guys, I know there is much more I could have covered but I was very conscious of the limited time I could hold the attention of the audience. I was told 10-15 mins is about as long as you can push the attention span of many viewers nowadays.

As you could see it was my first video. If your interested I have another I uploaded on "Rejection" but I don't want to highjack this thread :-)
Suscribed. Nice video.

Adobe Stock / Re: Two word keywords - are they allowed?
« on: December 18, 2018, 13:45 »
Hey Mat,

I've got a question regarding the title of the file. On most other sites, we are required to enter both a title and a description, but on AS only a title is needed.

Is it better to keep it short as a title or to create more of a description including for instance the type of shot, concept, backstory etc.?

Thanks for your help!

Found the answer for those who want more info on the subject:
https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/titles-and-keyword.html

Thanks for the advise link, answers a question I had and never followed up: Titles are not searchable at Adobe Stock. Instead, content is found through keywords, so be sure to include all important words from the title as keywords.

Looks like I need to do some reading and adjusting.  :)
Really? Wow

Adobe Stock / Re: Acceptable acceptance level
« on: December 18, 2018, 11:09 »
@ Mat - are you saying that the acceptance ratio is not a factor in the search algorithm (there are only so many factors available to be used to structure a search return from millions of images)?
He said the other day that the only factor is your portfolio size. But I'm not so sure now

That would be counterproductive. It would reward people for uploading masses of poor or similar images and penalise talented newcomers with small, high-quality portfolios.
True but Adobe is very picky.

Depositphotos - poor sales and high maintenance, buggy interface. They would often reject files that other agencies approved without a problem.
Though they are now accepting them after several years! I assumed they'd deleted apparently not!!!
Yeah, I'm also getting these emails, lol
They rejected a lot for low commercial value but then if you resubmit you get everything accepted. It's kind of a waste of time. But  at least the re submission way of DP is the best!

Adobe Stock / Re: Payout minimum reduced to $25
« on: December 18, 2018, 07:48 »
What about auto payout (like Shutterstock) when you reach the step?

I would not want auto payout every $25, so if there were automatic payments (which would be very welcome), it needs to be a user-settable money threshold or, ideally, monthly (like SS where you can set the minimum so those who want to be paid less frequently than once a month because of transaction fees have that option too). Direct deposit to my bank account (like Alamy) would also be a plus.

But then I'd also like to be able to search my portfolio (on the contributor side) by keywords or image number, and to see the total earnings for each image, and...

Given all the missing features in the Adobe contributor interface, I'd probably put those at a higher priority than automatic payments
This.
