9000 photos and 90$ both? Wow, this is really "nice" info for us, with less than 1000 pics in portfolio. I will wait another year for first payment, then I will see. Yes, I have plenty of time to think about Sales on this two sites are too slow! Sweet words on the beginning, than every month down, down,down... Btw, where is Duncan, no more comments from him at all.

I've only submitted two batches since the review times got longer but have had 100% acceptance so it's certainly safe to submit (unlike SS where the Focus Nazi is back). I'm having a BME there by almost twice the previous best and we're not even halfway through the month so I'd say everything at CS is fine.
I think that on CS, DP,... almost all of us have 100 % acceptance. This is also reason of my question : Is it safe? If somebody accepts everything what do You think about this And also no or suddenly lower sells. ?

Yeah it's taking longer to review but the final outcome is more important. Approved photos = jusitifiable wait. Because approved photos leads to sales and the waitng period doesn't matter anymore.
I'm not convinced. 314 images approved. Waiting 2 months and still "No Sales."
I really do not know what is happening on CS. Since they looking for new stuff, my sells drops !!! Review time is almost 6-9days. This happened OVER NIGHT ! Is it safe to upload ? Can somebody from CS explain this ? Thank You in advance.

Newly approved files not appearing in SS?
Anyone notices it since yesterday?
You are right the; the new approved images are not appearing on SS right away ( as usual)... try 123RF they appear after 1 week ( and this is normal).... so 1 day is a short period of time.
only for pics w/o people

My advice for SS, if You are beginner: batch with 15 files max !
When You will have good acceptance ratio, post 30 max.
Enjoy

Sales on SS are every day higher and higher And BS is connected with SS, agree? Lucky You, if sales on BS are still ok. It seems that my buyers all gone to SS
Check again about sales on SS, loads of complaints about it... SS forum starting to look like IS forum
I can not say for others. I am OK with SS, for now PS: 123 and FT are also super this days. DT slow, slow. IS mostly partner program. DT and CS not so good as it was ... POND5 more than 14 days still reviewing

Hi, Paulo,
glad that You selling on Photospin with success. How many did You uploaded ? And sold ? Photos ? Thx in advance
606 Files, 30 sold on October. 5 so far, where 2 were sold for 27$.
The bad: In October 2 files hit the "infamous" 0.03$ value.
Let's see how it goes on next months ( My portfolio is small and is not as "commercial" as it should be )
Wow, interesting stuff thanks for sharing. I was looking at their payment page, and it states this:
"Each revenue split is based upon the number of total downloads of your images per customer per month."
Meaning what exactly - you will never know what you are supposed to be paid? Am i reading that right?
And 0.03cents in value for a sale.......really?.....iStock will be jealous.
No problem with 0,03 $ if You had sold 2 for 27$. Bravo for this, Paulo. Anyway, 0.08 $, 0.03 $.. this is total degradation But participation in stock business is our choice, agree?

BME on SS, without any single EL, but with a big increase of OD's downloads.
SS, followed by Alamy and 123RF.
The big surprise: Photospin. Officially I start on 10th Oct. Even with that strange 0,09c sales, I got more than IS and DT together. Now we are on 2th Nov., and already doubled sales. Funny fact is that i'm selling my worst files there...
IS, DT, FT.... almost death. Is was going well with PP sales, but nowadays is WME each month.

24-105 is perfect choice.
And a real Canon candy is the newest Pancake 40 2.8.
This is realy winning combination and low budget, as well. And not only for stock... Proven with 60D if You need 1.6 x, with full frame (5D MarkII) no comment
I was looking at that 40mm pancake, interesting.
For the 24-105 the other part of the question is what camera. Seems that people who shoot full frame have a different opinion that people with a crop of any sort. Might be the answer right there?
And like so many other, the 24-105 is the lens that's always on the camera to start with. For the T2i I have the old 28-135 for a walkabout lens. On the 10-D and 20-D the lenses are something to keep the dust out. One has a 18-35 that I got free. Also passed on the same lens for $5 at a rummage sale. Now that's a lens that I won't use for stock.
24-105 is a fine lens and versatile. Oh ps I shoot at 100 ISO all the time, except in the rain on a cloudy day or at night. Then I go "all the way" up to 200 ISO. There are many more factors involved that just the lens.
I have both: cropped 60D and fullframer 5D MarkII. Satissfied with both. As You already mentioned, it depends what photos will be taken... in what conditions,... I have (so far) good acceptance with both, on IS 80 %, on other agencies even better ... So, results taken with this combos are ok for inspectors And Yes, everything what is in various test reports and on forums about 40 /2,8 is true: PANCAKE RULZ !

Maybe will be fine if we beside BME, etc... write also how big portfolio we have. Because I am new here, 4-6 months, I have small portfolios. 300-800 photos, depends on which stock agency ( 800 DP, CS; 500 DT, FT... and only 280 on SS and IS, because of IS limit 18 photos/week. I have sold 103 photos on SS in october, BME. On other stocks 10-20. Is this ok for start?

USD comes from the USA. They are pieces of green paper in their most basic form but can also be expressed numerically with a $ sign plus a number. Other countries have similar pieces of paper called different things and often in different colours too.
Wow, we have Jerry Seinfeld clone here. And $ can be from IS Partner program, as well.
