I totally agree with my colleagues, your portfolio and images style are very cool!
You portfolio probably only needs more volume of the same quality images... maybe like say cthoman also working on a variety of themes How long have you been on Shutterstock ? It's a bit long to wait for really better earnings, but if you keep working the same way, i don't doubt you will be earning more $, with lifetimes earnings growing etc.
Keep up the work and good luck !

stunning! had 1 last month for 70$! but 3 for 120$ each is crazy, wish you more
Congrats ! :-) I never had this kind of amount on SS, only 3 EL (3x 28$) once in a month The most I had was once on 123RF : 3x 90$ in a day! It never happened again... seems like buyers prefer to buy very strong licences only 3x at once ;-)

Hello did you ever checked this ? (I did'nt found it on MSG forums):
It's a comparative study about "Raiders of the lost ask" movie from S. Spielberg video with two comparative screens, showing a lot of similarity with another old movie

Do you have them elsewhere as RM? There are many partners in Alamy.
Hello no, i have them as RM only at Alamy. Anywhere else, i'm RF... thanks

Hello everyone,
So yesterday, I was testing some keywords in the search engine on alamy to check whether my files (illustrations) were at a good position or not, and I saw many of them which were sold both as RF and RM... But I have uploaded them only once i'm sure and have chosen RF for the licence. Do you know if sometimes Alamy select RF files and switch them also as RM ?
BTW i'm on alamy since november 2011. I have RF images there just like I do on other micro sites (FT, SS, IS etc...). I did 2 small sales since the beginning (around 0,5 and 1 $ each) but now i've sold one for 115$ ! :-)
Some of you may have encountered such thing ? (RF turned into RM also...)
Thanks

Without payment or protection there is no reason to create.
Are you fxxxing serious ??!!!
Take it in the context of the rest of the statement. We aren't talking about fine art but creating in the context of the creative industry here. No incentive to create for a living I'm guessing.
Sorry I didn't want to sound aggressive against batman. It was just a spontaneous reaction as i was reading. I understand the rest of his statement of course, and the context of creative industry, which i'm also working in but i thought what the videos here were pointing is a reflexion far beyond the only creative industry domain just about what "art" really is, even and mostly using examples of art creations before all the technology we know today, with which the possibility of stealing someone else work has undoubtedly increase I'm not defending copycats, but as the videos show it a bit, maybe for us all at a moment or another there's no way out of being some kind of "thieves" of someone else work, even unintentionally maybe is it an essential dimension of art... Not to talk (for computers artists) about the tools we're using (software, plugins etc...) how many designers in the creative industry are using unlicensed software, or have been using it to learn their art and job...?

All of this is the reason why in my illustration i only use grunge textures, shapes, world map etc... that i've made by myself. It takes time but it prevents from this kind of trouble. When I sometime use some shapes I didn't create myself, these are only the basic shapes, brushes or else that you can find by default in Adobe software (not any external plugin) In the end, it's always a satisfaction to have your own sources noone else but you has created...

The only thing about uploading vectors on CanStockP is that the jpeg preview images generated automatically aren't very clean and well rendered That's what made me prefer to upload only jpegs at the beginning
Another thing i'm wondering is if you always feed the category fields after your files are accepted ? Probably useful if CS buyers uses oftenly the 'browse' menu...

Thanks a lot for the advice Morphart. That helps me a lot ! your stats are very significant
Fortunately I put IPTC data in my images each time i upload so it won't be very painful I'll probably remove most of my images, but slowly and smoothly (just to be sure i don't bother the CS inspector team ;-)

721 sales in a year = well done ! :-) I don't have much sales there since (41 since beginning of september 2011 - ~400 images port) but I always wonder if it's not only because i don't put my illustrations in vector format (only jpegs)... Maybe I should delete all jpegs and re-upload...?

I have uploaded a port of around 400 illustrations files on DP. I started on end of november 2011. I already sold more than 60 images, which means an average of at least more than 1 image per day sold (all subscriptions, only 3 or 4 images credits sold) They don't pay much but that's very encouraging for a beginning.

Bravo for the file sold :-)
I have a question : how do you sell your files on alamy ? On the select menu when submitting your image, do you choose royalty free or right managed ?...
thanks

For the moment SS january is starting very slowly... sales seem to reach the usual levels only since 2 or 3 days only
hope this increase will continue for you until end of the month (and after why not ? ;-)
For the moment my sales are behaving pretty the same on every stock (slow in end of december/slow in beginning of january)
