- do you want a rolling 12 month windows for level determination (y/n)
Does that mean everyone will be stuck at a level whole year long before getting promoted/demoted?

I would not count on Adobe. We will see a video subscription very soon as all the other players have already jumped on the wagon. As to commissions cuts just watch Adobe Ticker on the Nasdaq. Once those growth graph reverse, investors will begin to seek "value" on their investments and their move will be no different that the one taken by Shutterstock.
It is the nature of the scorpion-he cannot avoid to sting. Welcome to Corporate World 3.0. Not anyone of them cares about suppliers. If you really want to be part of a sustainable business model where you are treated like a partner look for other options like coops or business run by a persona or group that does not want to sell for a quick profit. You will not find any merci at Adobe once the time comes.
But how many of these "suppliers" buy their software? A large part of Adobe's revenue is from digital media software (what do you see on the first page of their website after all?). So I think naturally they wouldn't want to economically hurt people who buy their software. Yeah, time will tell.

The very moment that Adobe offers exclusivity is the exact moment that my other portfolios come down. They're the only one doing innovative things besides ripping the market to pieces.
Maybe it's because if artists can't survive, their sales of graphic software will suffer too?

Highest number of downloads in 8 months but with the worst RPD ($0.17).

She/he is right though, there is little now that can't be done on a computer without the limitations of light, location, models, makeup, props etc. It's not the future anymore it's here and it will swamp microstock in the years to come.
I thought we were talking about still images and videos.

Cameras? Photos are a dead horse (unless you are a very talented guy), but...what about illustrators or motion designers? CG is everywhere, but it's not so easy, you need to learn very complex softwares, years of practise, and a bit of talent. Technology is evolving, microstock is evolving, face it.
Time is the most expensive item. Still images and videos are not interchangeable. There used to be a lot of Facebook ads with videos but there are less of them now. Because people don't have time to spend watching them. And then those short title animations, how many of them are needed? One, one per story. You also can't have all of them animated at the same time on the web page. Because they will look super annoying and distracting. It's the reason YouTube uses still thumbnails instead of animated ones. Of course, videos have a place in the media but still images are the main things. More demand in still images and also more supply, less demand in videos and also less supply, and a bit higher price for video because of higher cost, simple as that. Bragging about this is very childish.

AS has the higher RPD but the number and amount of sales are significantly lower than those of SS.
After looking at top sellers at AS, I began to suspect that it's because most of my images, although commercial qualified, are geared toward editorial use while most of AS customers are commercial-type. Since AS doesn't have as many editorial materials as other agencies, the editorial-type customers are probably omitting it and seeking them elsewhere.

In the Insights section, choose Activity as Data Type and select the period you want.

Got a strange sale under X Culled RF type, it's sold under my real name instead of the so called "member name". And I don't know what the image is because the "Asset ID" doesn't match any iStock image.
Downloads stats page still shows Nov...

That's why I said in another thread that SS (and also AS) "somewhat" guaranteed a minimum commission. This type of sale (with lower than your rank's commission) appears from time to time for me.

then the chatter on social media about how poorly they treat the talent that is their main resource, then eventually this floods into the very people (the creatives) that purchase the content. Sadly, BBC is still their partner.

The royalty rate for photo, illustrations, and vector content licensed on Adobe Stock is 33% of the amount paid by the customer for the content. For video, the royalty rate is 35% of the amount paid. Subs can be 33, 66 or 99. I'm the lowest level because I only rejoined after FT was sold to Adobe. 33 is the lowest commission you will ever get, unlike some of the IS deals. Earnings breakdown AS: https://helpx.adobe.com/stock/contributor/help/royalty-details.html
That is for non-subscription sales, for subs sales, AS is kind of like SS, depends on your lifetime downloads (0.33-0.38 USD). BTW, at SS, for custom/enhanced license image sales and for all video sales, the royalties are percentage-based (20-30%).

At other agencies like SS and AS, you're pretty guaranteed that your RPD won't go lower than a limit. But at iS, it's like an endless pit. Still think it's right that I've stopped uploading to them.

Anyone else with such problems?!
Yes and I opened another ticket. This time it worked.

I'm considering that, not mainly because I want to express my frustration or resentment. But I'm worried about the same contents I have at better paying agencies getting cannibalized by this.

This issue is still going on and I'm wondering if anyone has found a way around?
I just tried to submit a vector with dimensions of 12" x18" where the artwork goes to the edge of the artboard and it was rejected for being less than 4mp. I contacted support and got the canned response of check the reason for refection article. I pointed out:
When you rasterize my vector at 72ppi the result is an image just over 1 megapixel because 12" @ 72ppi x 18" @ 72ppi is only 864px x 1296px but when you rasterize at 300ppi (proper high resolution) it gives an image that's 19 megapixels or 3600px x 5400px. Vector files have no pixels, pixels are introduced when you rasterize, so they can be scaled to any size sharply meaning you are rasterizing incorrectly. Please fix this. I know I'm not the only one affected. Have not gotten a response and don't expect a useful one but I believe that's the problem. They are rasterizing at the lowest resolution.
EDIT: I got another canned response with instructions on how to upload taken directly from the site. Shutterstock has outsourced their contributor support to India so the email came from Pulkit and he/she has no idea what I'm talking about. I haven't given up. If I keep responding with facts it may get kicked up to an actual Shutterstock official. The entire site is a joke.
12x18" is just around 864x1296 or 1119744 pixels or around 1.1 MP. How do I know? Draw a 12x18" rectangle and then change units from inches to pixels. What are you using? If it's Illustrator, just change the unit to pixel then do the math. My artboard is 2464 x 1632 px (with artwork fills up the area), never have a problem.

My RPD for this month is $0.12 ... bunch of 0.05 and 0.04 and 0.03 sales happy that I don't have all of my portfolio there, just a tiny bit ...
I can relate to that. It makes me feel worried every time when I see a high number of downloads.

But, if you can't see the difference...?? who cares.
Purists.

The people who had to have the filter wrenched off, was because the filter took the beating, not the lens. Same accident and the lens threads would be bend and beyond future use. But with the filter maybe saved?
Yes, my tripod fell over on hard floor in my house once. Without the filter, the lens' thread would have been busted.

May is average for me but the three previous months were disasters. It hurt to see a good number of downloads but all of them were of terrible value. I won't put my hope on that sporadic high value sales among sea of $0.03-0.06 sales. I believe they're cannibalizing sales from SS and AS so I've stopped uploading to iS. What would happen if enough contributors stopped uploading to iS? Those who are still there would have better sales and report about it. Then those who have stopped would change their minds and resume uploading. And then...
