For the past 2 weeks I am back up to the level I was 18 months ago ... payout per month level. Over the past year my sales slid to something around 5 - 6 per week. Yesterday I sold 28.
Not sure what is going on.

So I guess for me, this means post the 5D replacement, I will be able to get a cheap full size sensor camera.

Yeah I figure hiring reviewers would be a lottery.
I used to have a media monitoring contract. Some reviewers would reject every story I sent in. Then you would get a blast from head office for not reporting an important story! I would say: "Check the reject bin baby, it is there".

Why upgrade? Spend your cash on a decent lens instead. Nothing wrong with the camera you have

Just got this email from SS support:
We have been experiencing a small issue regarding batch rejections, we are working to resolve it now. We apologize for the inconvenience.

A few days ago I uploaded a collage of signs I have been selling for ages. Within hours of them being accepted they put me back into the sales I was having years ago. So I uploaded more.
NO GOOD.
I get the rejection message. POOR COMMERCIAL - we do not need images like this at this time.
I really wish the reviewers would have a look at what is actually selling before they send the messages out, it just makes them look like fools.

I imagine most countries use a similar system to Australia. They would do a business activity statement and then claim back their lost input tax credits.
Should not matter whether they sell online on to a customer with an overseas airline ticket. The reporting schedule should be the same or similar in most countries I would imagine. But I have been wrong before, and most probably will be again.

I have an issue with the whole sales tax/VAT/GST thing.
If goods are sold to someone outside the country, I am pretty sure the seller is not required to collect or report the tax.
I think they are just charging it and pocketing it.

Private equity companies don't care how much they pay. It is all about negative gearing to avoid paying tax

Monday, February 25, 2008, 09:11 AM - Canon 5D Mark II There's currently a big retail staff discount on the 5D. So if you work in the retail world you could get one cheaper than at B&H.
I'm not sure if the discount is available in any other country.

For those that are interested, i did report this to the Police. The answer from the police was: "what do you want us to do about it".
They basically said it was a commercial matter that should be dealt with by solicitors, not a criminal matter for the police.

I am starting to get really suspicious of the agenda of a lot of these sites.
They are taking those of us who use it as an income source as fools.

They have a habit of ignoring any correspondence.
I posted here just to warn others who have been helpful to me on microstock so they do not get caught.
I believe in what goes around comes around.

The whole process is a bit dodgy for those who are used the functionality of IS, SS, and DT.
Like, you have no idea when a file is sold until they post something to tell you.
Never mind, I will use all my files for another site. I worked really hard and built up 350 graphics files.

As an Australian, I hate to have to admit that an Australian site is not playing fair.
Last night I had a huge fight with the organisation on a number of issues - including manipulation of a forum posting - and have cancelled my account.

I noticed Canon has registered in January on the UPC database for the 7D. It has not, however, updated the PictBridget listing as it did a month prior to the release of the 40D. Perhaps it learnt from last time.

I tell you something hilarious about PD.
If you go to Alexa and check out their traffic details, you will see people who visit their site often then go to istock or another micro site.
I reckon this is because PD has a great page telling buyers how they can get the same quality "for a few cents" at a micro stock agency, and how this is unfair.
If they just shut up they would stop people leaving the site and the chances are they would buy from them.

I have 138 images on CanStockPhoto and I am reasonably confident I will get a payout sometime in 2015. But as Michealo said it is a great keyword tool.
