I must say Google works very good! Just few minutes ago I got respond... It took 1-2 weeks and whole article with my (personal) image is down, wow.
https://support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905?rd=1

Shutterstock is helpful and fast as well.

I really don't like when my image is used if I wasn't ask, if I'm not even informed, no "thank you", no nothing...

Google is helpful in geting images down in that situations. I would be really rich if I get money for all "borrowed" images.
Btw. Did anyone manage to get his money from thefts? Where do you start, what to do first? :)

I just spend more than half a day submitting 56 images to 8 websites...

alamy - would have taken entire day
No FTP, crashing flash upload, images can't be edited before approval, flash again to edit image data, no IPTC possible because they have 4 classes of keywords and IPTC only supports 1 keyword list, several attributes must be chosen each time, keyword limits by letters instead of keyword count.

Anyone has any tricks up his sleeve how I can do all this painful online-stuff faster?

Strange that you have problems with them.
I upload there often and it looks this way:
in the morning/ evening I do upload (over 70 files lately in one batch), I click on "upload" and I go to make some tea or breakfast/ supper, or... anything else doing at home every day. I don't feel I need to stare at uploading processing  :P

After few minutes all images are uploaded so I click on "no more images in this batch". No problems with crashing flash upload here (it used to be few months ago but stopped and works fine now).

Next day (or two days later) I have images accepted and so I set this few things fast. It takes about 10-30 seconds/ image. So pretty fast all images are ready to sell. I have IPTC correct and files properly prepared so all I need to do is to choose these few most important keywords (few clicks) and set PR, MR, RF, RM, etc...  And I do it during tea time, easy and lazy, taking my time. Full relax before/ after hard work with taking photos outside.

"images can't be edited before approval"
I think that's very good! I wouldn't spend my time on editing before I know it's (not) accepted. I lost to much time with micros that way.

I've just noticed that images in galleries are shown without any watermark. They can be downloaded by just using the mouse right button so you can get a free image sized as much as 512x349. This is a nice blog size for free  :(

Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia - higher prices
« on: May 23, 2014, 10:41 »
I wonder about FT pricing in Westend61 case. Is this company able to set their own prices? Or ... how did they do this?

http://www.fotolia.com/id/54998333

It's from 20 credits for XS to 495C for XXL size and 795C for EL.

They keep the same pricing level everywhere else.
Example http://www.westend61.de/koala2/collectionLanding8.html#preview
and all over around...

507
So here we go again. I got fresh answer from FT.
My question was: how much do I earn if they sell image (as print product)?

FT: If this partner sells product your commission will be the same as if you sold image directly through FT.

So if I understand correct, if they sell product for example for 29.84 or 68.80 I get 0,... C from FT?  ???

Not big lost to me as I have only one last (garbage) image here when waiting to reach my 50C.

Good luck people in doing your business in some "awesome places" with more ways to get more money!  ::)

And here is fresh answer from DP:
"It is a copyright violation. To post our images with our watermarks on is prohibited by our license agreement. Feel free to contact the person who posted your file on Pinterest. We will do our best to remove it from public access."

I've found many images with logos of micro sites... I don't use Pinterest (and never did), have no idea what it is and how it works, but I don't think it's legal usage?

http://www.pinterest.com/pin/90001692527603228/     antique oil lamp from Depositphotos (large web size!)
http://www.pinterest.com/pin/196610339955214421/   yellow phone booth from Dreamstime

and more like that...

 ???

This way anyone can use anything anywhere...

Canva / Re: Canva
« on: May 22, 2014, 08:33 »
I'd like to ask, what does one license exactly mean? If we have client that wants to use image on his website and he buys file from any microstock, he uses it once... right? If he buys it from Canva, he uses it once as well, right? So what is the difference here?

512
My Firefox can't find this website...  ???

My goodness, you all have so amazing work!  :o
Congrats. And I wish I had huge house to make all this prints and watch it :)

If you mean www.crestock.com it doesn't work in Poland (two different distant computers). Very weird.

... buyers will probably go to DPC first now because its so cheap and low entry level to get images there.

Eee... what images? The same that people opted out or removed with theirs accounts? ;)

517
How much is for photographer?

518
I guess they'll receive one huge surprise one day...  ;)  ::)

I joined in January and have got four sales so far, out of about 400 images.

Good to know something is going on here :)
Can I see your pf at FAA, please? :) 4 sales in 4 months (with beginner) is impressive!

Only 3 sales this year, I was at 3 sales per month.
That's very no good info :(

1) not a single site that has subscription sales.
... i'd just like to see an agency that rewards hard work fairly and is in partnership with the contributors in a more or less 50% 50% deal, or at the very least 40% 60% deal, like it used to be before the micros came along.

Stockfresh someone said? They do pay 50%, correct. But $1/ DL? Not worth the effort.

... I would say Pond5.
A successful and apparently thriving agency
You set your own price, after all not all subjects or aesthetic image quality are equal.
Flat no nonsense 50% royalty...
... To date no crappy subscription plan or other underhanded ploys.

I would say Symbiostock. We need no Agencies but Agencies need us.

Which agency do you think would best serve your interests if they were a top seller?

1. My Sys. it's obvious if I get 100% of prices set be me ;)
2. Pond5 - I set my own prices and get 50%
3. Alamy - they still pay well and I get 50% too (and yes, I have monthly sales here).

After few hours it works correctly. Must have been some temporary technical problem. I managed to upload and submit new stuff.

As you say, this site looks old and tired and needs some changes, it needs more new technical work. However it's the best POD site I know now. I thought Crated will do something new, but as we can see, they don't care a lot ;)

Hope FAA will get up and do good work soon.

Upload question here.

I try to upload 5 (or 1) files and submit process is stuck. Is it only me?
Used to have upload problems with few files before but never all batch at once.

I can:
upload, edit, click on submit and it goes, and goes, and goes... please wait.......... and that's it.
Use Firefox with windows.

Alamy.com / Re: what is your oldest uncleared Alamy sale?
« on: May 15, 2014, 05:09 »
... we respond to all mails and our average response time in UK office hours is lest than 1 hr.

This is true and other Agencies should learn from Alamy. I write to Al. often (sorry for that  :P) and I get fast and involved respond ALWAYS - best contact ever.

March was last month when something was going on here.
In April I had 3 (three) sales,
In May I already have 1 (one!) sale

LOL.

I'm just waiting to reach my $50 (so close) and get out of here. If nothing changes, I'll have to wait about 2 years... (not) funny.
