I added chrome on my ipad. There is a topic in the moderate panel now that is garbage. There is no way to delete it. I looked in Safari, Firefox and chrome on my computer (mac) and there is no way to delete it, only approve.

Yeah, I didnt see a delete on the post itself either. Glad to know its not just me, though. Next time I am at my computer I will look, but I use firefox on mac so it might be what Sean sees.
edit: i just added chrome to my ipad so next time i will try it with that.

Leaf (or anybody) can you explain how to delete a post in the moderate area? There is one there now from our friends the essay writer. Theres a green button with the word approve. I dont want to do that. Theres a dropdown that says with selected then you have a choice of approve or delete. if i choose delete it says are you sure you want to do this and i say yes. nothing happens. both ipad and iphone. what am i doing wrong?

"rearranging Deckchairs on the Titanic" or "Fiddling while Rome Burns" are two phrases that come to mind.

Rearranging deckchairs on the Titanic...LOL...love that! 😂

Is there anything we can do with a spam post which appears within a legitimate thread, i.e. not a new thread of its own?
(Other than report it)

I reported it, but I dont see a way to delete individual posts. Unfortunately. These spammers know every trick in the book.  >:(

NecroStock an exciting opportunity to submit your best work to a dead market.

Pretty much all the sites could be renamed Necrostock.

So that no one really has any advice on how to help me? Any advice how could I contact a particular person at Shutterstock to help me? My 6-year work ceased to exist day by day even though I am not aware of any violation.

Unfortunately no one here can help. Only SS will be able to give you specifics on what happened. 😞

I did find this: https://www.shutterstock.com/support/telephone

How many times has this been said...

Every agency has different rules in their agreement. It is up to the contributor to read the agreement and submit accordingly. So the OP DID spam according to canstocks rules. They only want up to 15 keywords. You submit more, you are spamming ACCORDING TO THEIR RULES, not mine. LOL.

Yes, I agree, stupid rules.

Shame on you for castigating a photographer without more information.  CanStock has done the same thing to me, even though the description and keywords describe exactly and only what is in the image.  It is a glitch in their system or a problem with their reviewers - you should get the full story before pointing fingers.

Thanks. I do not sparm keywords.  I take pains to do my keywords making sure they are relevant to the subject.

Maybe Cathyslife should ask herself why all other sites accept my uploads? :)

What any site accepts is totally irrelevant to what any other site accepts. Good for you that you arent spamming. The sites are full of files from contributors who are.

Recently I have on several occasions my uploads being rejected with message
"File contains invalid keywords, title, or description. Please ensure keywords describe only what is physically and prominently visible in the file."

The same files were uploaded to all other agencies with no problem.

I'm thinking of not to upload to them anymore because to delete those files one by one take ages. Better off spending the time creating new images.

If your images have keywords/descriptions that dont apply to the image, then that is keyword spamming. Good for canstock for rejecting and shame the other sites for just letting them through.

Calm down buddy. You missed the word If. The very first word in my post. WE dont have all the information...we never do. Yikes. Ease off on the coffee dude. Maybe not a glitch in their system. Did you submit more than 15 keywords? Most of the other sites accept more than that. So according to canstocks terms, you were spamming.

proofread your subject line.  ;)  edit: FIXED! 👍

Tondaxxx, did you actually press the camera button to start the recording every single one of those 21,320 videos? How many months has it taken to process and upload them all? This certainly is a big impressive portfolio. Your fingers must be tired.

21,320 videos? OMG. Tondaxx, do you use an automated submitter where maybe there was a glitch and it uploaded batches over and over?

Ok, you missed the point...Im not happy about it...

I missed the point too.

Here's a modest suggestion if English is not your native language, you probably shouldn't try to be ironic, sarcastic, or overly subtle, because those are things that take a lot of linguistic skill to do well.

That is rather patronizing. I don't think it was hard to detect the sarcasm/irony. It is well known the Americans are not well versed in sarcasm.

Isnt that patronizing too?

How, how for God's sake was these garbage ever accepted?

and those pictures of wood and ashes burning has Christmas as a keyword.

You could leave a page up that directs people to whichever stock site gives you the biggest royalties per sale, and maybe an email address if you are available for custom shoots. I shut my symbio site down after losing a decent amount of time and money on it, and I doubt anyone ever noticed.

Ditto.

I worked for a large format printer, we used jpgs or tifs. Theres no point in saving an image as an eps. If it were vector art, yes eps. Maybe give them an eps just for fun, and a jpg too?

This forum is like a haven,
ha, a haven implies some type of utopia. this forum is pretty tough at times. i've no problem with Off Topic discussions, that's their purpose, to perhaps find people who share one thing (ie photography) and discuss other things outside of that.

That isnt what haven means.  Nothing to do with utopia.

And I disagree with you. When it comes to politics, its never a discussion. Its one side blaming the other and everybody else, then comes the name calling.

haven
n.
A harbor or anchorage; a port.

n.
A place of refuge or rest; a sanctuary.

transitive verb
To put into or provide with a haven.

It is the off-topic forum.
Remember, we can always just ignore forums and threads we aren't interested in.

Off-topic should mean anything except religion and politics discussions. Plenty of both of those everywhere else on the internet.  This forum is like a haven, and the only thing we should argue about is agencys low commission. 😂

Oh, it does say SS forum but I assumed it meant the post on msg. Is it a different case?

The OP talked about the SS forum, but you pointed out there was a thread here talking about it, a few posts down. From that point, I thought we were talking about here, too.
