The fotolia categories are driving me crazy. There is no category for objects or just still life and the drop down menu is often unlogical.
It is a really, really painful way to upload like this.
Seriously, if they want more content, why not make it easy and elegant?
Try to find "Halloween".
I give up. Any clues???

I appealed and resubmitted with case number etc and they have now been accepted.

lol! Probably will too (even though I can't add an editorial note now)!

And just to add to the jollity of it all, I'm getting Illustratve Editorial images rejected for Altered Editorial -- Major alterations to editorial content such as adding or removing objects from a scene are prohibited. Alterations that go beyond traditional photographic techniques (dodging/burning, cropping, color adjustments, etc.) are unacceptable. when I have done NOTHING. Nothing added, nothing taken away. But how can I prove this? Sigh........

Is there a way to see ALL images waiting to be submitted or only the last 40? I'd like to be able to send up those oldest first (so they don't get deleted as hanging around too long - which has happened before) but I can't see them until newer ones have gone through. The arrow to see previous pages of submitted images doesn't seem to work. Is there another way to see them all or do I just need to get on and process the lot!

I think only they can help you. Without seeing all the details, it isn't possible to say anything useful I'm afraid.

Alamy have separate 'area' that photos have to go into. One is Stock (another is News, there is a third which I cannot recall). So you have to find a way to tell your uploader which of the areas you want your submission to go to. With my system, I had to add /Stock after their 'normal' ftp address. It worked. Guess you'd do the same with /News etc but I haven't tried that.

yes...seems this site went 'live' in April 2015.... But is it different from the others? You upload stuff and get paid when it is downloaded (without them taking a huge percentage). I'm sure I'm missing something....and will put my tin hat on.....

The glitch with these continuing long waits for review is that anything remotely seasonal is well too late to be useful...

Three weekdays. Which look like weekend days. Just like most of last month. Not good. Not the usual ups and downs. And the site is buggy - makes you wonder what is up, if there is a connection.....

AGES back I uploaded about 250 photos to DP but stopped because of the apparant dodgy nature of some of the goings-on there. I'm fairly certain I opted out of partner sites anyway - but can't remember where I can see and check this. Can somebody point me in the right part of the site please?

For anybody using Stockuploader and not very tekkie (like me) this is what you need to do : Go to the config tab and add/edit the alamy agency in the normal way. For STOCK photos, at the end of the ftp address, just add /Stock (so that the entire path includes the folder you want to upload to). This will upload all images to your stock folder. If you do not shoot editorial or use releases you should be fine. If you need to upload editorial images or releases you need to add a NEW agency with the proper folder in the ftp address.. So you could end up having 3 agencies set up for the one site. One for uploading editorial, one for stock and one for releases.

Alamy tell me my ftp is enabled, I have set up my sytsem for ftp and a connection is made so the ftp link appears to be ok. BUT after 3% it stops and fails. I see I need to specify WHERE the photos go - stock etc - but have no idea where to enter this. My ftp has no such space, and no other site requires it. Any ideas what to do please?
