Could it be that they all realise now (or maybe already knew but held off as long as possible) that having no opt out is against EU legislation?

If that's true I hope someone explains it to Veer, Fotolia (has a DPC opt out button still no opt out for other partners) and other agencies with forced third party partner programs.

Check Your files on Shotshop, API  and program sites, my photos are there again.
And, of course, no replies on three mails.

How is with complete portfolio deactivation?
I think, that this fraud agency will keep sell despite deleting files.

I checked in shotshop. The thumbnails of some of my images do appear. But when I click on them, the text "Image temporarily not available. Please try later" appears instead of the image in a new window.

My thumbs are also showing up again.  I also got the "image temporarily not available message - try again later" message when opening the preview.  However I was able to put an image into the shopping cart....  My thumbs have also returned at ibudgetphoto and clashot.  Opting out should not be a game we have to play and replay.

I'm glad they changed their policy.  They agreed to remove my port from Dollar Photo Club.

I hope they expand the opt out option to include all their partner sites.

In the meantime if you do not want your images sold through Dollar Photo Club send your request via a Fotolia customer support  ticket and you will be manually removed.

I wrote fotolia support and was told that I would have to deactivate my images if I wanted them removed from Dollar Photo Club.  Has that policy changed?

Dollar Photo Club's pricing and lack of opt out is unacceptable.  Removing most or all of my images appears to be the best option currently available.  Hopefully they will do the right thing and make an opt out possible.  If not, May 1st is a good day to start thinning the port.

DepositPhotos removed my editorial shots from Clashot in February... yet people keep adding as a "friend".  Could it be that they are still available internationally?  Seems suspicious....  Anyone else experiencing this?

557
Ugggg.  They removed my portfolio from Shotshop (and all partner sites) twice and yet... there is is again.  Wrote DP support to have it removed a third time.

Fotolia needs to provide an opt out for this terrible deal.  If they don't provide an opt out removal of images maybe the best business decision available.

That's so eighties. real pros use this:

youtube says "that video is not available in your country"  (USA)

Why not just a sole proprietorship? I am closing my corporation after 32 years for a lot of reasons. Mostly to save money and simplify my life. Unless you have liability concerns, why incorporate -- and the corporate vail can be broken.

My tax guy says an LLC provides a measure of liability protection... but it's far from perfect.  He also says the LLC can open a 401k for itself allowing me to defer a portion of my royalty income... and pay those taxes latter.

Eventually I see myself picking up a photographer insurance policy and trying more ambitious shoots with models, locations, etc.,.  Organizing into a LLC is partially with a view towards those plans.

561
My tax guy recommended that I organize my stock photo and video accounts into a single member LLC.  So I registered one, got the EIN, opened a checking and 2nd paypal (business) account.

I'm beginning the process of changing 15 microstock agency accounts.  Has anyone done this recently?  If so was it easy or were there issues?

Thanks

Anyone know what the social media license pays?

My photos were quickly removed... but then came back.  Will write support again.

I hate this deal.  A good portion of my port is travel and travel editorial related.  Much of my material is subject matter they decided should be given away for free.  Deactivating my port maybe a sound business decision.  Certainly something I'm thinking over.

I see it differently : once your embedded images are clicked 100 or 200 times you could make one sale, the average conversion-rate on e-commerce sites is 0.5% to 1%, photos are a bit harder to sell so maybe you can expect 0.1%

I do not believe free use of my images will ever result in a sale.  Only lost sales.

Photogenica is showing the portfolio names I only use (or used) at Veer, 123.  They are also showing the name I use at DP and others...

567
I also requested removal of my images and videos from Shotshop and all partner sites.  Allowing subscription buyers to resell images is unacceptable.  I'm considering deactivating all my images.  Hopefully DepostitPhotos management will correct their policies in a timely matter.

Just dragged a preview of one my images to my desktop.  It's 1200 pixels.  The Clashot watermark is very tiny down in the right corner.  Even worse than FAA.  Getting lots of views too.  Does anyone know if an opt out is possible?  I don't see a opt out button at deposit.

You have to write support.  There is no self delete function.  They are usually quick to reply.

It would be better if there was an "editorial" button in the photo submission page.... like the one in the video submission page.

571
Photoshelter has a (rudimentary) universal search feature.  It would be great if Photodeck offered that as well.  Especially if it could separate photos from the illustrations... something Photoshelter lacks.

Click More, then Download.  The sales list is a monthly lump.  Click and scroll from there.

Non exclusive uploads are checked as "exclusive " in the pending files section.  Seems to be a bug in the upload process.

574
My images have been waiting 32 days....  Is it only me or are they that far behind?

575
They have my files too.  They are showing a name I only use at Veer.
