Their new system gave me a headache.
...and $0 royalties SMH.
I am sure I will be closing my account soon.
How is that even possible? They are copying the 1 cent payment of iStock

The new sales will be cents as they work it out against the number of downloads per subscription sales which is a unlimited plan.
That's terrible. Anyone got an actual cents sale?

How do you tag your photos there? It's very weird.

Enviado desde mi ALP-L29 mediante Tapatalk
You have to do each one individually cant even copy paste...its very very time consuming
I uploaded two photos yesterday to see. Sper weird tagging system but I got hearts I liked the app as a social media to see other pretty photos but I think I won't sell because I'm not going to submit my whole port not tagging properly.

Also the tagging method in that agency is crap.

If someone sells a lot of editorial photos and footage in SS maybe they won't see the same sales trend in Adobe.

I only see 800 photos per pages. I have 30 000 photos :( very long
Try to write them, maybe they can change them for you to your whole portfolio.

Hello The sale is bad I want to change every of my photo price. it is possible to change all price in one clic ?
You can. In your uploads menu, when you see the list of your online photos, you can select them all and at the end there is a little menu and one of the options is set price. You can clic there, write the price and accept.

As I said, I'm a contributor who works with Shutterstock's new contributor support team. We're receiving dozens of emails per hour from contributors saying they were hacked.
Thank you! I hope it doesn't become a huge problem for contributors.

Wow!  Thanks for the all the great answer.

Many of you suggested that I should try somewhere else.  Where do you suggest?
Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, iStock, Bigstock.

So I signed up with 123RF a few weeks ago and uploaded a couple dozen photos to start with.  I have since uploaded a couple hundred.  All of my upload are fully keyworded and even Country associated, but they are all still in the INCOMPLETE category.   There is nothing left to do that I can see, but they just sit there as Incomplete.  Any advice?
They used to be very fast but now they have been taken a long time to review (weeks). You did well, you just have to wait... And for editorial photos they can take months. If you want to be noticed try to write them.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: accepted but not "published"?
« on: October 22, 2018, 23:36 »
A peculiar thing has happened.   Two of my photos that were marked as accepted about a week ago have not shown up in my portfolio.  I notice now that the typical notation is accepted/published, while these two languish with just "accepted" beside them.

Has anybody else encountered this?
You should contact them

Adobe Stock / Re: Strange account activity
« on: October 19, 2018, 09:10 »
Hi,

I recently noticed a strange activity on my Fotolia account. Previously, I had an average of 3-6 views per day. For unknown reasons, the views number jumped to 60-80 per day, and after about two weeks they dropped to zero. Since they dropped I have 0-1 view per day. Is this normal behavior? I started uploading stock footage about 4 months ago, so maybe more experience users suggest something?

Chart:

How can you see those charts?

General Photography Discussion / Re: What sold at weekends?
« on: October 18, 2018, 21:18 »
First, you're not thinking globally and the agencies are (more or less) global in their sales. Friday in the US is Saturday in Australia for example. Generally, in my experience, Saturday in the US is the worst day of the 7 as it's a day off for most people that day.

I assume you're thinking about consumer uses of stock versus business uses, but I haven't seen any content differences, just volume ones. That's probably going to vary depending on portfolios.

But even if you could get an answer to this question, what use would it be?

Who are you to tell me that I'm not thinking globally? Do you know me? Do you know how much it's my effort in stock market photography?

If you judged me by my portfolio, sorry to disappoint you but you are completely wrong about me!

what this answer?

I cover the camera mic with duct tape to prevent sound from coming in.

What's the point of doing that? It's dead easy to remove the audio track in just about any NLE software.
I think he was joking? Hahaha

Dreamstime.com / Re: Is image spamming much of a problem on DT?
« on: October 09, 2018, 21:44 »
That's interesting. The only agency that does that for me is 123RF. They only accept 2 or 3 of similar photos, but that has never happened to me in DT. Which is weird because I think they are the the ones that most uses bots to review.

I think it's good. I sell almost a half of what I sell in SS.

What would be the price for a normal photo and a 4K short video, for example? I have seen really high prices there which is kind of weird.

Thank you.

Hi! I have been uploading my photos for three months now. I want to try to upload a footage about a wasp. It's short, but it's 4K (I think, I don't know a lot a about videos). I have some questions: how do I know if my video has the codecs (?) that some sites such as SS and Pond5 accept? Also, the video was recorder with sound (I mean, natural sound). Do the videos need to be muted, like without sound? If so, what software do you recommend to delete sound without affecting quaility? Thanks a lot.

It's funny I sold the same picture twice. It was 0.01+0.01 cents.
Two people saw it in the bizarre Connect pay per view scheme.
Was does that mean :o? I'm kind of new

These tiny payments are pay per view, which Getty calls Connect.
That's kind of weird. So they view the photo and then what?
