Big guns are few and they can be always "compensated" for being loyal :-)

You should scream for sure but I doubt they will hear anything. Until people, in large numbers, begin to pull images off the site, diddly will happen. I mean actually take the images and remove them, not just stop submitting.  But not enough key players will do this. After all a little is better than nothing most everyone always says. "Oh but I make xyz% of my income from them" blah blah blah.

Unfulfilled threats are empty threats. People are venting here every time agency exercise their power. After couple days they gladly accept it. Right now market is consolidating so there is no better place to take your stuff for sale. Microstock opened it to the masses so new people are coming every second. On the other side you cannot easily go to macro agencies cause these guys are collapsing and eventually most of them become micro or die.

Just a replacement with nicer looking site that will hold all Getty's subscriptions. Are they going to migrate accounts to it eventually. It seems kind of funny to keep it StockXpert frozen forever.

I got 2K of images on StockXpert in 1yr and 200 on IS in 2yr. Unless IS going to transfer them there is no chance we can do that.

Finally, no life support anymore, they took all organs and it will die.  I am glad I stopped uploading there long time ago and it did not change my results at all. I was expecting that it was about killing competition. BigStockPhoto is next :-(

There's always "noise", but rarely ever much action.  Nobody wants to be the "first" to stand up to the agencies because they're afraid nobody else will follow.

One major problem is the sheer volume of contributors... So many of whom are not doing or attempting to do MicroStock for a living...  They are 'tickled pink' to get that extra $20 a month and they just keep on uploading not caring what the agencies do.  Sadly, THEY are the contributors who are in control and the agencies use them as the stick to beat the pros into submission.

I think I am example of this "noise". I got 1% of my income from microstock but actually it's my second year and I doubled it in comparison to first one. I am going to reach next canister on SS this year so I have to focus more on others to make them earn more otherwise there is no chance for another double.

How do you calculate RPI? Is it $Yearly / (#TotalCurrentYear - #TotalPreviousYear) ?

It was pretty good month so far. Overall, across the board it might be BME. It just shows how small I am, 2-3 sites do well and I got a record. I need 2 dollars on couple sites to have more records :-) I guess it's to early to celebrate cause it could be one time phenomena but it feels better than recently.

DT does not require to pass a test and you can get used to reviews and get some sales quickly.

This is for people who want to connect to internet without having a computer. It will never replace laptop but might kill netbooks.
