Depends what day of the week it is. If its like a weds/thurs/fri i'll hold off on uploading to Shutterstock until the weekend, so they are fresh for the new week. I typically upload to all the others at the same time though.

Alright well I just placed the order.  Canon 400D with 17-85mm lens $1099 Polarizer $29.90 2GB Flash Memory $44.90 Going to just pick up a tripod from BestBuy. After talking with a good friend, I decided against buying any sort of lighting equipment to start with. I don't really fancy messing with all that to start with. That might come down the road after a few more payouts.

you know i was thinking exactly about this type of thing recently - I think it sure would be nice to incorporate something like this into the site where we could see a graph of all the peoples votes. Just haven't figured out how yet

Yes. Opt-In/Opt-Out is a definite, and we will give you a few days before launch to make up your minds. 
We're still discussing payout.

If we choose to opt-in at first, can we opt-out at a later time if we don't like how it's going? And have you decided how the commission is going to be yet? If its just .25c per download any file size that is a little well, crap.

My policy now is choose another image when I see the one posted here has already been commented that day. I don't think that having too many comments in just one image is a good idea.

I am looking to buy a new camera here soon, I have about $1200 to spend on the camera and lens(s). I have been looking at the XTI, but I would like to hear what you more experienced photographers have to say. As for the lens, I'd like it to be good overall, decent at close ups, decent at distances. Would rather only have 1 lens. Any advice is appreciated.

What do you do?- Simply go to the previous posters link and comment on his/her image. Then post one of your images with the PUBLIC link so someone can return the favor! You can also just link people to your gallery and let them pick what image to comment on. Why do it?- The 10 most recent commented on images appear on the front page of LO and at other various places. They also boost the images ranking in the search results. Rules:- Do not post negative comments. - You obviously can not post twice in a row. Make sure you paste the public link for the image!The Difference: Public Link: http://www.luckyoliver.com/photo/....... Private Link: http://www.luckyoliver.com/submit/....... --- I'll start... (click on the image)  --- Reason for the change: This method allows for more flexibility.
