seriously?? send it next month :)

Don't! I get warning!

really? never had one! I do it rarely but when I feel a picture is worth I open it change minor and resubmit

I am one of that.. I entered on a US link but I live in Portugal.. Email them like 10x and always with some months between.. really bad actually.. we are losing a lot of money, I try to not think about it..

I am not even Silver there but it would be a pain to upload again all my stuff and perhaps get a lot more rejects these days.. been there since March 09, not a lot of money but certainly a lot more if I were with EUR, should I try? dont know.. really hard once I do have a few pics that sell regularly..

I am always waiting them to change it but seem that will never happen.. another screw up contributors for this business

So are we saying that this.

Would be better than
http://www.ltsw.com/public/Girldrinkingwater.jpg

Or maybe I shoiuld ask is it better or even close to acceptable?

it has a lot of noise.. seriously I would shoot more and be more ready to join IS, Shutterstock, whatever..

if you fail at IS you will have the 5th time when?

I was only putting it up here because someone said to try to reduce the sze and see if that helped.

it does help and it does look better too.. dont know if it is enough to get approve these days..

123RF / Re: How do you delete photos off of 123RF?
« on: May 27, 2011, 09:05 »
Anyway, I think some agencies work for some artists, and some other don't (Fotolia never worked for me)

my concerns are really BigStock.. dont get why I got 5 or 6 sales per month, gotta be my photos perhaps.. CanStockPhoto I guess it isnt a good earner for "anyone" but they have a nice review and that big sales (not that I had many)

regardind Veer I guess they have a pretty close market and only a few "subjects" sell there..

ah I forgot: Cottoncarrier is also a system that gives you quick access but does hold your camera very secure, you can do all kinds of sport with this equipment. I own it but use it rarely it does look a bit silly but works well.

have heard of that too time ago.. thanks will see more

I had both in my hands and made my owns by myself.
If the price is similar I would go for the sniper - but the differences are marginal.
It isn't a rocket science product after all.

from my read the sniper isnt that nice because it doesnt have the "stoppers" that the BR has, that will stop your camera to jump around

Bigstock.com / Re: Big Stock - Payout
« on: May 26, 2011, 16:41 »
Yeah it was $50 but at the bottom I see that it's $30.  That's nice I'm $10 away from that :)

$20 away for me.  Should be an especially nice Christmas this year.   :P

You arent alone Warren :)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Downsizing pics?
« on: May 26, 2011, 16:18 »
exactly.. IS, FT, SF and a few other can get you a few extra "buck" for a bigger size and the buyer might look into it too..

I tried the favs...didn't work for me. I also tried to do live chat....sales and support were live, but not contributor support, so they said I had to e-mail support. So I've e-mailed them..haven't heard back yet.

yep I have talked a few times on that chat and they keep telling no help there for contributors, it would be nice to have that but actually what agency has that?? GLO had on their begin now nothing..

General Stock Discussion / Re: Arrogance abounds at istock
« on: May 26, 2011, 15:48 »

It makes Lobo's comments more understandable. They're not interested in keeping all customers happy, just the ones that will grow with the company and pay the higher prices. To everyone else, "Sorry, good luck," seems like a reasonable response from a company that maybe doesn't care about serving customers in the microstock price range anymore.

If that's the case, then they should just be honest, say that, and stop with the microstock masquerade. At this point it just looks like a big bait and switch. And it they were actually honest about what they are trying to become, then they wouldn't be bothered with the complaints. If they do finally admit they are midstock, I see them fading away, however. I can't help but continue to point to the massive success that was iStockPro. Oh wait...

I don't think there's any way to be honest with where they're headed and not offend people.

Getty is shuffling images into different licensing. RM will be reduced to absolutely unique content and anything that isn't unique will be pushed to RF. Getty and IS RF seem to be converging into the Vetta/Agency tier. Any RF that is oversupplied or low value will stay in IS's lower tier and eventually be pushed to Thinkstock subscription.

Words of true wisdom, like all of your post in this thread (I haven't come across many since I'm relatively new here). I really admire your analytical capabilities, the way you're able to break things down and see things, patterns that 99.9% ppl don't.

he sure does know more than us.. maybe a few more know too..

Nope 3 landmarks will not make it anymore.  They want variety, my gf was rejected a couple times for shooting things too similar like: 1.  the Taj Mahal 2. Machu Picchu 3. the Blue Mosque.   All good shots too, not spectacular but sharp, correctly exposed, rule of 3rds etc.  The last time the inspector wrote that there should be a portrait, a studio, and a landscape shot for example.  Basically 3 totally different kinds of shot.

you forgot to mention the 85% they want too ;D

I don't know what you meant by the 85%?

IS cut :)

« on: May 26, 2011, 15:22 »
again it is quite weird and hard to explain the difference between contributors.. I do 6x more money on 123 that I do at BigStock or CanStockPhoto.. my BigStock/CanStockPhoto are dead dead.. like 5 to 10 sales monthly

this month
123RF - 64 sales - 51.35$ (no "EL")
CanStockPhoto - 4 sales - 2$
BigStock - 3 sales - 2$
