I hate to say this but 40 cents per image keyworded is an absolute steal. Canstock is the other option.
If you want to compare, here's a link to companies that will keyword (or scan images) for you...

Honestly, I doubt you'll find anyone to do it cheaper than 40 cents per image.
Good Luck.
I'm sorry, but I can't agree with you. You can keyword your images poorly and spend 2-3 minutes per image. But for a good keywording of one image you should spent at least 5 minutes (if not 10). That means maximum 12 images per hour. 12x0.4=$4.8 per hour. Now find me someone who will do it for less. If you think this is a stealing, then sit and try to keyword 1000 images yourself In my opinion, the only problem if you send images to Dreamstime for keywording, is that not all images will be accepted. So, you will again have some images to keyword manually.

I didn't read the whole thread, but did someone mentioned those giant, Europe like sized surfaces covered with plastic bottles in Atlantic and Pacific ocean?

I just sold 2 images accepted an hour ago at Shutterstock. I didn't know they can appear so quickly in search after review.

I personally think this is highly dangerous, but also unavoidable. It was just a matter of time. I also think they can't prevent spreading of artificial organisms in future, which even scares me more. Who will stop these bacteria when they get out?

Actually it's reproducing it self. And yes, only genome is synthesized, but that's enough. If you can put together pieces of other genomes that's it. You get a new creature. Genome is made only of few different molecules. They managed to make them and put them together in the lab

Nowadays you have to be more creative to get accepted at IS. I don't say you are not creative, but you have to apply your creativity. Shoot something with stronger concept, and make three very different images with different subjects on different locations in different circumstances. And don't shoot flowers that are not really exceptionally, amazingly, extraordinary beautiful. And no sharpening! Noise reduction only very selectively!. IS hates noise reduction, so it's better to leave some noise if that preserves the details in shadows. Watch for all technical requirements as purple fringing, color bending, artifacting, white ballans etc.
I'm sure you can do it. You just need three different images

Oh well, I thought you guys were educated? Status quo, not statue quo. A statue is a piece of rock shaped into something at a park. A statue quo would be a replica, I think.
lol

It's not the only agency with status quo.

Also, when you select proper MR, and when you check images related to it, don't expect any "OK" or "SUBMIT" or "APPLY" button, because there is not one. Just check files and leave the page, and MR will be attached to files.

Nope... I would be the first option, but then you are opting out for Shutterstock completely.

They probably took Shutterstock system. They also don't require of buyers to credit photographers.

I got this today reported by pichniche:
Approvals at Shutterstock 398 to 401
and then, about an hour later:
Approvals at Shutterstock 401 to 398
I didn't restarted computer or firefox in the mean time. Anyone had similar experience?
I checked my SS port and i have 398 approved files, although, I don't remember how many I had this morning.

Rene, at least you don't have to deal with many agencies. You just have to work with IS, and you can focus on your portfolio to make it perfect looking with lightboxes and other nice things.
