Here's an image of what it's supposed to look like on the homepage.

The price for a single image download is $19.

This is the tier and based on your all time revenue:

<$500 - 20% - $3.80
$500-$3000 - 25% - $4.75
$3000-$10,000 - 28% - $5.32
>$10,000 - 30% - $5.70

From what I understand is that they're just testing the waters to see how it goes.

I just got the same email and have nothing more to add than what's already been said here so I'm not sure how to respond to it.

CanStockPhoto.com / Keywording EPS file
« on: September 27, 2011, 18:10 »
So I'm trying to streamline my workflow by keywording the eps file.  When I keyword the file in Illustrator will the keywords propogate to the eps file?  I have no way of checking it because irfanview doesn't support eps keywording and I can't find anything else to help me.  Ghostscript isn't an option as I don't have time to learn how to use it though I don't think it's something I need anyway.  And I also don't have bridge.  My AI version is CS.

Thanks,

Anita

Not to mention violation of privacy of independents whom are not bound by an exclusive contract with anyone and therefore can spread their work out wherever they wish without prejudice.

That and will your top earning contributors be immune to this if that action is taken?  Wouldn't seem fair if they were excluded from this treatment.

606
Yeah I got nailed on my last review too.  Too similar and poor execution (right if they'd look at the eps files first I don't have rough edges).  2 out of 8.  I'm used to maybe at least one or no rejections in a batch.

They aren't accepting images directly yet.  Hopefully it wont be too long before they have that available.

That would be nice my footage port is pitiful (I only have 4 :/)  I need to fix that.

I would be interested in adding some photos and illustrations.  Just can't figure out where to do that at.

Or is that still the 123rf affiliation that you're talking about?

Let me know.

I've opted out as well just now got the email about an hour or so ago.

Definitely nice of them to let us to be able to opt out.  Of that.

Now I can get back to the business of uploading my port now that that's out of the way.

612
I've yet to receive the email and I'm bronze.

Then again I haven't been getting the newsletters at all from anywhere and I've not changed any settings on that.  They're all yes for newsletters and stuff.  Wonder if it's coz my email is on Yahoo and they don't want to send them there.

The more I've been thinking about this the more p1ssed off I get.  NO ONE should get special treatment everyone should be treated the same.  FT should be dropped from the big 4 and moved elsewhere.  Trash can would be good.

613
Has anyone been dropped in rank yet?  This is complete and utter bullsheet!  Independants are not exclusive and therefore are allowed to sell their stuff on any site that they wish without fear or obligation.  Extortion is probably just the tip of it.  It took me over 2 years to reach bronze and I'm not going to lose that time and rank.  Who the flipping hell do they think they are to drop your rank and commissions based on who you also upload to?

Thanks chromaco I'll try that and see how it works out for me.  Any time I don't have to deal with photoshop for illustrations is a good day.  I have the last 5 months of 2010 that I haven't uploaded there so hopefully that will speed up the process.

Thanks again.

I still have to get the rest of my port up on the site.  Is there a better way to get the minimum of 4900px or bigger jpg?  Illustrator won't let me do it and the colors have a slight difference in Photoshop then again I may not have either Illustrator or Photoshops jpg settings right.  So how do you all get the jpg's?

Not so much.  I've had 3 sales since June of this year with 181 files (110 that I uploaded were rejected :/).  So not so much.  Hell I've made more at StockFresh since July than this place.

Course I've only been with Veer since June so I don't know if 3 months is a good indication of well anything really.

617
For me everyone usually gets the same images I make though there are a few that won't take certain ones so those sites don't get them.

Usually buyers are only with one possibly two sites and eventhough you would have the same image up on other sites doesn't mean that they shop there.  That's what I do and I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary in doing so.  It's just easier for me to do it that way.

Awesome!  Just watch out sometime Fotolia's FTP has a hiccup and you end up getting doubles in your unfinished files.  Didn't notice one time it happened to me a few months ago and ended up getting doubles approved.  Had to go back in and delete the extras.

The zip file isn't what needs to be a 2mb minimum it's the eps file that can't exceed 2mb.  Your zip files should be fine as long as the eps is under 2mb.

620
This little fish is happy when an image has sold 20 times or more.  Basically for me it's gotta sell.

StockFresh / Re: Finally fair vector pricing from Stockfresh!

It also said they're now accepting EPS10 files.  So all ya'all with those lovely abstract shiny thingies can upload those too.

I saw that the other day on the site.  Good news indeed.  Now I just need to find some time to upload the rest of my port there.  Course now if the sales would just pick up  :P

That's good to know disorderly.  I shall hold off uploading to them until that gets fixed.  Thanks for the update.

I had the same thing happen last night said it was full.  Upload via the site using the multi-file uploader and they'll upload just fine.

625
Did I read that right that the investment made is going in to advertising?  Or is it that and something else?  The article wasn't too specific regarding that.  Course I'm probably just guessing.
