Adobe Stock / Re: How to see...?
« on: August 08, 2009, 20:23 »
My Files -> Uploaded Files.  Click twice on the Downloads heading to see the list in descending order of the number of downloads.  That won't tell you how much money each image made, but it's as close as Fotolia gets.

It seems little better now.
And is there some history of file which you are sold few times like on IS or DT??
xx times for smal size, xy times for larger size..  etc.... xxxL sise???

Contributor page -> My files -> Sold Files

This will bring up a page with all the sold images, date sold, license type and credits earned.

If you just want to see the totals you can go to Statistics instead of Sold files and use the form to see how much you sold for a set timeframe.

Hmm
Its not what I want to find.
I want list what is my best earner on Fotolia or something like that and how many times is my image downloaded ...

Stupid question but I cant find...

I didn't say any of them were Google or Yahoo

And if you see here

http://www.pandia.com/sew/481-gartner.html

some estimates put Googles servers at 1,000,000

do some basic research  on Google or Yahoo before contradicting people

For example how may workstations do you think IBM or HP have deployed?

OK
Let it bee that you are right. After few months I was watching some Google video on they site about grid software and they servers, and they claimed that they didnt purchase servers and workstations and  terminals from this manufacturers because they make they custom models of machines for they own purpose. Its not my point how many machines some of manufacturers sell to different customers.
It was not point on that when I was see this lecture because this lecture can be old few years and if you are counting Moore Law in doubling space, memory, performance etc etc every year or 18 months it will be possible as you are claiming.
For all quoted above you right in this case
but I am just curious about visit stats for my 30 images in few hours. I know that people from Dreamstime are complaining for missing views eg no views no sales problem at this time.
From port on Dream of 800 images I havent so much views and now from 30 images in few hours I have 439 views???

681
Is it joke site like SCAM - PTC and PTR sites or what?
On Alexa graph they curve is crawling just little above bottom line?

Alexa sats mean nothing, I have worked for 3 companies with a total of almost half a million workstations between and no one ran Alexa because the desktops were locked down and each of the three bought lots of stock imagery

Hmm
Half million workstations???
I think that Google and Yahoo summary dont have that ammount of servers eg work stations together!!!
Maybe the Total product views is general views of this site visits not views for each authors port  ;)
I post them 30 photos and after few hours stats is:
Total product views:   437
Like every hour views are rising about 100 view amount???

Banding problems in gradients are very very visible on new LCD screens which rewievers have but its is no visible in common use for NOW.
See my post
http://www.microstockgroup.com/computer-hardware/new-designer-monitor/msg104806/#msg104806
We are working for dimes and every time sucked from new reviewers with they new optics and additional contrast improvementl of their new screens.
When I look on my old cloudscape images which are on IS few years and now on my old CRT an parallel LCD I see banding on my LCD.
For that time they are accepted but now on LCD you see banding if 1% difference in magenta is in cloud on LCD???
eg 90% Cyan and 40% magenta and if you make another stripe with 1% magenta more this bunting banding anyhow is only visible on LCD??? (on paper issue is good old tolerance of 5% from zero to anything)
Blue color is especially nicely crap for banding.
What to do with that?
Nothing?!?
Adobe cant handle with that, from them it is mathematicaly corect but on new sheety LCDs and on IS you will have 50% aproval ratio with that anyhow.
Maybeee...........
As I see you must be more wisely in making illustrations and think about that new fcking banding "problems" (talent hand for IS is not enough but when I see what kind of traced stuff they have they make me sick).
Maybe IS want from us to make flat plain illustrations because they are Microstock and they Daddy dont like that you submit you work which he dont own or have on his bigger stock  ;)

Computer Hardware / Re: New Designer Monitor
« on: June 20, 2009, 19:38 »
I want post something like this maybe a year ago but I was to lazy for that.
Before one on maybe one and half year ago my 22" Lacie Electron blue III loosed its white point so I buy DELL2407WFPHC the best monitor at that time near the Apples best display. First thing is that it is much more sharpener than any CRT but you must looking straight at 90 angle at image to see right color. After few weeks finally I adopted for that kind of SHT.
Every new image which is processed from that LCD is too too soft and unsharpened when you published this in paper issue, and if you want to have sharpen image in print issue you must oversharpening it, but if you want it for stock then LCD is better because fckin unvisible imaginary noise. OK I know that is for blog shiting or other web portals and publications but who buy 6 or 24 Mpix for web issue. If they even buy that big resolution which is oversharpened and noisy when they downsize it all of this (imaginary) problems are gone.
I really dont know who is the first creappy person who "discovered" that imaginary nonsense of noise.
When I looked on old images on paper issues on new LCD and if I post them to microstocks I think they will make lobotomy on me or ban me forever.
OK bla bla new time new creeps, just because some creature who buy first LCD with high contrast and see that is crap for new cheaper LCD users form his POW they are in forced all of us to make blurry and un noise images because of they new degenerated optics.
As I see in they LCD development they are increasing contrast ratio, for what?
For reviewers To see more and more artifacts because if some lazy creature wants to see image on his creapy cheap PC laptop screen while he is opposite sun?!?
I just cant imagine what will bee in the next years when they made some kind of electronic paper with eg. hexagonal or other matrics and all our work will be looked same to them like I looking my old images from printed issues on my LCD???
For me in few years it looks that we will came to be old snapers like OldHippie????

Computer Hardware / Re: Anyone using the Wacom Cintiq 12wx?
« on: June 20, 2009, 18:38 »
For making photoshop Illustrations its OK except of making clipping paths because of lower resolutions of display but for Illustrator maybe only with paintbrush tool but you must define you own variable paintbrush for it if you preferred freehand work and after that you have expanding this brushes to get Filled objects instead of organic ghoustly line which is not readable from other vector programs if they are not defined like Fills. For precise an exact drawings mouse is better.
In both of cases you must very good skills with left hand shortcuts if you are right handed or vice verse.

Indeed the inspector must have really liked this shot to extend the exclusive perk to you.
Maybe you will stop calling them iStock now  ;D

I dont know whats going with me, last month I am so calm  ;D

Next question. What I am doing wrong with color profile or its only bed rendering from Safari?

Image from Safari looks like you enter 0.8 value in middle tones in levels an make saturation -15.

Is it possible to force Safari to render real image?  ???

Hi
I have acceptance notice...
Your file "BlaBla image" has been accepted into to the iStockphoto collection.

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_closeup.php?id=9624315

and below that...

Additional Approval Note:
The following keywords used for this file do not appear to be fully relevant to the subject.

{[ Restoration Style,  Gilded]}

What to do now?
1. Nothing because they approved photo?
2. Or is better to delete this two keyword which is in some kind of doubt?

Yes for me it is doubt so, because it is fake baroque frame, it is not covered with golden leafs but who knows that? It can bee because now you can buy fake golden leafs for fake restauration of fake Baroque frames in my case  ;)
I know it is not fair when you have this in you hand but this is only picture of that anyhow is it real gold or not, like shoots of fake ice cubes...

Can you believe? I thick Opt-In?!?!

Why?
Unsolded or under 5 solded files in 18 months in my port are under 5% I think and that will not take any effect on any additional sales on photos dot com or Jupiter unlimited even they are almost there provided by StockXpert.

Whohoho

In first task what you are talking about they say a lot of, eg cmon guys lets do it for our wealth (I mean they wealth with long an detailed description)

Second task something about getty I dont realise but is in words half shorter in description and tooooooo much colder than first.

Third - Extended licence??? what???
All time I was there I am wondering when the iStock will sell something from my port for some price like EL on Shutter, Dream, Fotolia, 123 even CanStock sell one for 20 bucks but iStock NEVER.
Maybe for this for me hidden feature on iStock. (in this case is mising -Read this first)

Fourth-Prints
The same as third
missing (Read this first???)

Anyhow this two questions like check marks are visible on every upload (normally without-Read this first)
Now I have doubt that in this hidden answers they are selling my images in other licences and paying me fix 20% of royalty of basic contract, not that 20% what they get from buyers???
PLS tell me that I was wrong and its just my bad dream...

When I sign up at end of the list of "big 6" last 2 has eg 5 od 10 different licences and most of the time I see that they sold the same image with different price like licence.

PLS dont tell me that on iStock this things are not same or simplified. On iStock I only see that same images are selling for same price???
PLS dont tell me that checking box Extendend licence means that they can sell my image for 20 bucks or more and I receive only 1 or maybe 2 or 3.
PLS dont tell me that allowing prints means nearly the same.......

I find this on Panthermedia so maybe something similar exist in US tax laws  ;)

Income when you do not have a registered (small) business

As long as you are not pursuing long-term profit-making activity with your photography, you do not need to register as a business with the relevant authorities. The tax authorities recognize the earnings as "hobby". Under German fiscal law, a hobby is an activity that is conducted without any intentions of making taxable income. Any income that is made out of this activity is not taxable, and any losses incurred also cannot be claimed as deductions.

After all I feel my head will explode...

Let say stupid pharse "world is changing etc..." similar things but as I see in bad way...
Treaty or not treaty contributors are in the same trouble with costly SINECURE paperwork provided by IRS and that is the MAYOR problem.

Like seen in NationalGeogrphy documetary about sharks, Photographer and videographer are dropped down from the ship in cage and feed sharks "with they own smell or some bloody part of other annimals" to present easy bait for sharks.
For me next scene. Stupid sharks are try to chew CAGE because of smell and dont realize in their heads "How is something smelling so good and its not edible??? But as I seen from thousands of post that all of the crew in the cage is in danger because too many bars of cage is missing an shark will get from someone finger, and from someone hand anyway.
As I try to realize IRS has not intention or any efforts to make things simple.
Ccccc only 4 offices for all Europe for certifying documents + long and priggish reviewing process (like some micros).
They just want money anyhow.

My suggestion to IRS
Close all offices around the globe and open only one of the north or south pole and you will spare more money form tax payers for renting offices.
And make new rule that every tax payer must come to you new office on the knees and moan and beg you.
Also make rule that tax payers must ask for that every month,
and normally why to be so modest, rise prices and taxes even more than 2x...  >:(

I have the another theory about noise in they heads. One time somehow I see they location in Calgary on Google maps widget I think and look at it about 1,266752734% of milisecond and I deeply in my mind figured that they are in triangle spot of railways which can make interference with every electornic device such as Monitor, LCD, speakers.. etc.....
Somehow this turbulence of electircity my be the reason why they are dont see correct image with they own eyes.
OK
all reviewers are not from Calgary but I am suspicious at that if the first drone nut is from noisy place, and it will trying to find other from the similar noise location eg.(Streetcar Named Desire).
When they catch up other bees by their goal from desired CV of wanabee reviewers they all has the same distortions in they heads (Noise)....

I tell my opinion and hope that I dont hurt anybody...

Hmmm, I don't know... I think with this post, you are giving their "nuts" a run for their money.  :P

Bzzzz, bzzz it is so fuzzyyyy
I cant reeaadd bzzzzz
maybee my translator is not optimized for real goal of my expresion, bzzz bzzz
so I include another word which is may disambuglationjzzzz in prime nuts and drones.
Any how....
I dont know how to say but I mean King chees of all bees (iStock bees), if "she" is in deep "Noise sheet" the children of evolution "read reviewers are in the same"
For now I am noise free on iStock, but also I mean that other world is is in more big trouble, not about noise in pictures but only in noisemakers minds.
Understand you any how...
Ice age 3 is upcoming next month, maybe I will learn something about nuts...
