I think it's just a lag in one part of stats updating before others. My commission hasn't changed and mine aren't the same either. 2.49$ daily and 1.75$ monthly

It's still working fine for me. I know that isn't much help to you but at least you now know that it isn't a site issue.

The last 2 posts were 2 extremes of what might happen so I think that you can expect something in the middle. It will take a bit of time to get established at the new sites but your port is good and I think that you should do well everywhere making it benificial to you to go independent.

Mine updated about a week ago.
I took that to be them messing about ahead of the system going live. Does this mean A) that they are not counting the end of December in the December stats making it 11.66 months instead of 12 months, or B) that the "monthly update" is going to be at some weird point in the month that makes it almost impossible for us to check whether they have got the numbers right or not?
That's rhetorical, of course, since there is no way anyone except 123 knows the answer.
PS: According to my reckoning there is only 8 credits difference between Dec 11 and Dec 12, so either way I should still be in level 4. I have no idea how they are counting.
I assume that it is always the last 12 months whatever time of month they update. Mine went up by 600 but this month I had 2 els and a 200mb sale so I don't know if any other adjustment went on or if it was just a result of having a much better December than last year.

CD123 - So sorry to hear about all the setbacks and I wish you the best. I feel I can really relate to your situation as I too have serious heart disease, a pile of other chronic diseases, and I struggle with depression (which usually comes out as irritation and anger, like nearly assaulting a guy twice my size because he was not climbing up the escalator ). While not the sole cause of my depression, the impact of my chronic diseases on my life is significant and ongoing. Im fortunate to work with a great team of doctors and a fantastic therapist so Im doing OK.
Hopefully you are able to get treatment for you depression, as there are treatments you can do that likely will make a big difference. While taking a short break from MSG might help, based on my experience, the one thing I would say is that depression thrives on withdrawal. The more I pulled away from things that did or might frustrate me, the more depressed I got in the long term. If MSG is too frustrating, I urge you to replace it with something else (not necessarily stock related) that lets you find a place again. I did that when I stopped reading/participating in the Istock forums and joined MSG and Im much happier for it.
PS I picked my screen name as I was sad about what happened to Istock, not because I get depressed.
Great advice. I hope that knowing that there are now quite a few people that have pubically stated that they were sad to see him go will help in a tiny way. Wishing a healthy and happy new year to you all especially to those of you with ongoing depression and other health problems.

Ankarbs, even if u managed to escape today fate, you may not be lucky to survive the whistle blowers at SS in the future since there are too many artist who create the same stuff especially design elements.
Escaping the 'whistle blowers' is really easy. Don't steal other people's work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hard to say, i believe if some of your artworks contain similar elements like most artist, example banner, rounded buttons, labels , you are in risk of whistle blower threat.
Usually, designs by artists that land on the first page in SS, has the final say to lodge a complaint against you, and yr port will be investigated.
I have an incident in which an artist has lodged a complaint against me for having the same hairstyle as his character illustration. This is really ridiculous because on the street, you can easily spot sameone who has the same hairstyle as you.
Yes but presumably you weren't banned for it as it was proved to be ridiculous. We aren't talking about coincidences here but blatant stealing.

strange, yeah. It didn't look like he was that miffed at the end of the thread.. mostly just curious. http://www.microstockgroup.com/site-related/1-button-good-or-bad/
Perhaps there is some posts I haven't seen yet where he had more of confrontation with someone?
I didn't see anything any worse than what you linked to. Maybe there was some site mailing went on.

My guess if anything you upload looks remotely like a Disney character then you are in dangerous territory.

Hi,
I had a similar problem with SS (they terminated my account). I would like to ask if SS keeps my portfolio at their databases.
I ask that because I would like to open new account with SS (my father's name) but I have some artworks that I want to re-submit to SS. Do you know if they can check that these artworks (vectors) are already submitted with my old account?
If not, I believe that I can re-submit them.
Please inform me what to do.
Thanks
Has your father already told you that cheating is bad thing? You're in the wrong place if you're looking for advice how to deceive Shutterstock.
Designing is my only income. I made one mistake (to create an artwork based on a concept of a photo found in the Internet) but until then I had many artworks made by me without any copy.
I believe that SS could reject my artwork and not terminate my account (they had earn a lot of money from me).
This is the reason I want your help.
I'm sorry but you should have thought about that before stealing somebody elses artwork. Everybody is sorry once they have been caught and you won't get much help here. If it turns out that you were just influenced by somebody elses work and didn't outright steal it then your account will get reinstated but if in fact it was a blantant copy then it will stay terminated

Yes, I must be in a 'good' spell at the moment which is a bit unfortunate that it falls during the holidays.

I caught someone selling a template on GR that was basically one of my vectors with a bit of text on top of it. When I complained about it it turned out they could buy an EL from GR and do that. Of course I made sure I changed my settings to stop EL sales right away. I wouldn't be surprised if Envato had equally dodgy ELs in place PhotoDune as they do on GR.
What is GR? Is it Graphic Leftovers?
Sorry, GraphicRiver Envato's site for selling vectors (the graphics equivalent of PhotoDune)
Of course, thanks. I just wondered if I needed to go in and disable ELs at Graphic Leftovers.

Did they change something with the credit levels? My total has just gone up by 600 taking me well into level 5. I am having a BME there but it seems to have gone up by more than I expected it to.
I'm pretty good into level 5 and having a BME too. Alright now.
Glad to hear it. Have you made a decision about whether to stay or not yet?
Not yet, but in the worst case I will still be waiting at least 2 months to see how it goes. However, if the sales continue to be this good (and it seems that I'll keep my 50% effortlessly), I'll stay. It won't make any business sense to drop them, if they deliver.
Sounds like a sensible plan.

Glad you made it to 5. Mine is unfortunately on 3, but that does not change how much the income also means to me.
Thank you. I hope that you can soon go up a level.

You might be one of the few "large file" credit increase fortunates, but only picked up on your changed credit level now. The increase sounds very much like that.
I had a PEL, an LEL and a 200mb sale this month so maybe that is what made the difference. My earnings at 123 have equalled my earnings at Fotolia this month. So in answer to the people that wondered why I am not going to drop 123, why would I when I didn't drop Fotolia when they did something similar? It's all well and good to talk about the long run of things but I need to pay my bills now. Like many of us I'm in no postiton financially to make a stand and the agencies know this!!
