Caught red handed. And this is why I always see stay away from those CC0 licenses or any kind of free resource available on the internet. You never know when they will change their terms and ask for the claim.
Use 100% your content, it may take a little time but it will be your forever.

Very poor sales today, I have not even crossed 20% of the daily I receive.

Same case happened with one of my designs which was accepted in all agencies except for shutterstock. Rejection reason trademark / intellectual property
Same theme designs were already live in ss but they rejected mine. I have no time to do research asking them the reason, instead I moved forward in creating new ones.

Yes, alexa shows the traffic stats, one cannot entirely depend on it and it cannot be ignored either. There are many more things involved like conversion rate, customer base, online / offline marketing and strategic planning.
SS showed good quarterly result time and Adobe is also aggressively moving forward. Though other brands like 123rf, DM etc are falling off.

For me shutterstock and fotolia is showing progress, there may be algorithm change from google but every business do not depends on alexa ranking or google.

You are looking for contributors here... what are your plans for getting buyers? How much money are you investing in marketing? Is this self funded website or any investor.

Is that allowed? Can i use some actions to create images like watercolors from my images and then sell them like microstock?
I think this can have problems as watercolors actions uses a pre-made brushes which holds a copyright, better read the license terms. I will not recommend it from my side.

Nobody is going to invest in a shooting with modela, mua etc...and put them on pixabay. And simple images of flowers, pets, holidays etc...always had to compete with free images available elsewhere.
So no, i dont see the free sites as competition.
Companies buy from SS or getty because they know the files have been checked, model releases read etc...
Lack of sales comes from oversaturation.
thats totally valid, and then SS also have editorial section which I think itself is entire business. I think no one in the free site will go and shoot editorial content and giveaway for free.

Hi All,
We would like to let our contributor community know that we had to temporarily disable the ability to upload .eps vector files. We will report back when it's re-enabled again. You can continue to submit .ai vector files in the usual zipped format. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thanks,
Mat Hayward
Thankyou for the update! I have many .eps files to be uploaded, when can I expect them to be enabled?

Oh dear! well I presume? or am I being silly but when people have thousands of files in portfolios and reaching four to five figure payments every month and its their full-time job and been doing it for years and years, LONG before micro-stock. YES I do presume they know what they are doing, haha ! dont you?
My "they" refer to people who complain and do nothing, I have seen many users in this forum doing lot complain and crying hard but when I go though their portfolio, its nothing. Yes there is competition, which will always be but one should not stop or slow the working.

Nope. Does nothing at all. I'm an Emerald. Sales are horrible there for me.
Same here also Emerald and sales are almost non existant! I was earning far more three years back. The one and only reason I still stick with Adobe-Ft is because I cant really be bothered deleting or uploading. Theyre just there so to speak.
The key to success is to consistently upload which helps keep your content near the top of the search results. If you have stopped uploading, it's possible your existing content is being pushed back in the search as new, relevant content continues to flow in thus making it more difficult for customers to find your work.

Thanks Mat! and this is something people do not realize. Success is not a one way journey, its a circular path and one needs to keep on running. I have seen people complaining of no sale, terrible sale and accusing the agency... but hey are you really working and producing the right content needed?

This topic comes up every 3 months. I still don't think there is any truth in it. My numbers fluctuate daily, not by just a few percent, but by over 20% sometimes. I think it's just a coincidence that some people see consistent numbers.
Historically, April has always been a lousy month (for many industries) because of Spring Break and Tax Season. Kids get off school for a week and some parents take off work with them to go on a trip. For taxes, some people like us are saving up to pay the government instead of getting a refund.
I too agree, there is no any conspiracy here, my numbers too fluctuate daily, last week, I too had a 2 figure and 3 figure earn. As said, this is a coincidence for some people. People seeing increase and down sales coz SS is now shuffling the things up. They are also doing heavy marketing with introduction of new plans.

April down 50% so far! micro is getting tough no wonder one hear about lots of people quit uploading. I read in a private stock forum about american based agencies might be switching off servers to Europe now and then. Can they do that??
I don't think they will ever do such thing, can you link the stock forum here?
