A month ago was my first ss payment, nice!
Januari and Februari were good months, with some od's
Since three weeks i sold nothing, for me this is a unusual long period without sales
Is there someone else experiencing such long period withou sales?
My port contains around 150 images:

I recently had a photo accepted by SS, I think it's a good one and have hopes for it. Today I did what I sometimes do and went on Shutterstock without logging in as me to check it's there however it does not appear on any search later photos on the same subject do but not my best photo.
if it does not appear in searches how will it ever sell
Should I delete and reload
no do not delete them, it sometimes take little time to show up in server.

it works. it's easy.
FilezilLa or CyberDuck work just fine for me.
FTP is easy but in case of vectors, its bad, very very bad.

SS was amazing, very happy to see progress. Fotolia also performed good.
123Rf went very down to half of feb.
iStock still unaware whats going on, I have also not uploaded anything as the system is still buggy.

Similars has a broad meaning here. Variations should be ok, use same element in multiple art should also be fine and colors also predict the mood. So the reviewer should understand it before rejecting all.
Similar spamming should not be allowed, There few contributors upload 100s of same thing with less to no variation. Shutterstock should ban them, they are the ones who cover all the search pages of newest first.

Actual video footage doesn't do very well there, but motion graphics do well. That's mainly what VideoHive is known for. I also have some After Effects files which do well.
I've always made around $100 to $150 at SS, a bit less at iStock, around $200 to $300 at Pond 5, up to $450 at VideoBlocks, $50 to $100 at Artbeats Express, $50 or less at Fotolia, $25 if I'm lucky at MotionElements, $35 to $70 at CG Trader, $10 at Dreamstime... it all adds up, but not as much as VideoHive.
Right, buyers are usually the people or companies who look for the source files which gives them more flexibility. I appreciate you for sharing those numbers and good luck with more sales. Your work is amazing and challenging.

My sales stopped dead about 12 hours ago, which is very odd. Is there some delay in reporting or have I just hit a bad patch?

I've always wondered what's going on there because it happens to me every now and then. I also thought it might be someone avoiding an EL.
Yes this can be a reason. I remember, previous year there was one of my file which was downloaded nearly 21 times in subscription.

Hello All,
Is there a problem with uploading vectors to SS ?
I have uploaded eps file with corresponding jpg file many times and everytime get the message error :
All vector images must be accompanied by JPG images with the same name.
Does anyone got this , or it's working normal ?

It is a copy sure. With my experience, I see many people doing copy of my work and I use to get upset too. In starting, I also did many complains which was very well listened and appropriate action was taken.
But now the whole industry is full of plagiarism, as said above ss database is so huge that people are just doing copy, its now difficult to deal with such things. I believe if you contact Etsy, they will sure take action but you never know that the copycat still own the artowork offline, he will sell it somewhere else.

I guess sales do move around. Big marketing effort by Shutterstock or just the random nature of things? Who knows...
Its pure marketing efforts, I see ads everywhere including social media. They have also introduced a new plan for buyers which is working well for ss, its a good sign. For me BME crossed on 18th March

I posted on Jon's FB feed, and he said "We are working on it.". So, I guess it isn't going unnoticed.
Meanwhile at Shutterstock: 1.269.450 new stock images added this week 
When I started, I think it was around 50K/week.
If SS filters and exclude the spam images, they will be left from 1.269.450 to around 60.000 -100k a week and that will not be good to display to the investors. SS or any other agency takes microstock as a business and we photographers/designer take it as a art, so no agency cares about it.

Thank you all for your opinions and ideas. Some very strong points have been made, and we will internally discuss the uploading process/limits in more detail. I think we should be able to come up with a solution that works for us internally, and for our contributors to make for a more seamless process.
Great to know, I hope you will improve the email system too, I have sent emails regarding limits few times but never heard back.

Me: Removing the watermark means you haven't paid for the photos. You are making money off people like me who create the photos to sell on Shutterstock. Because fiverr can't be bothered to police things like this means you get away with it. Reported to Shutterstock.

Yes you should stop and everyone who does this should stop but many probably wont because it's easy money. Doing graphics work for people is ok if it's your own work. I'm a graphic designer and wouldn't touch Fiverr because the so called clients want stuff for very little money. The last logo I did I charged 400, not 5! The client was happy. Value your work and don't support shite sites like Fiverr. Good luck.
yes i agree with you , i work a lot of time for just 5$ , but there's no alternative , !
There are alternatives, contact local print shops, design companies etc offering to do freelance work. You'll make a lot more money than on Fiverr. Back to work now, hope it works out, seriously. It's tough to make money in graphics these days (been doing it 40 years), partly because of sites like Fiverr offering cheap work lowering prices for everyone.
You did it right from your side, but I am sure the accuser is very much aware of all the licensing, its only he is trying to be innocent. I still want that agencies should take a proper action. There should be a microstock union who listens to contributors, buyers and the agencies.
