I found a solution after troubleshooting these issues myself. My problem seems to be with Firefox after their site redesign.
I found I was able to find my FTP results using Internet Explorer. It loaded fairly quickly using IE whereas I was waiting 30mins - 3 hours for incomplete results to spool up using Firefox.
I hope this helps any others who are having problems.

Thanks for the useful info. I will give it a try!

600 downloads for drawing a bird is a good deal, no questions, but as long as you know you're gonna make that money out of that design.
what if you don't ? What if your $1,000 photo never sells as RM?
i've plenty of good images that never sold. actually all my favourite ones never sold.
but i can sell them in many other channels, or print and sell my own books, or keep them in store for years, up to me.
there's nobody forcing me to give them away for less than a cup of coffee. the ones that sell are repaying my production costs so i can do whatever i want with my portfolio.
we should instead ask the designers what would they do if suddenly micro images become expensive ? will they all go bankrupt ? or will they pay decent prices as they did until a few years ago ?
i mean i worked in graphic design in my past life, it's simply ridicolous to hear designers complain about prices ... they make a lot of money, they ask insulting prices to their customers for the most silly and obvious designs .. don't tell me that they can't slash 50 bucks for a cover photo or something they really need.
go in any studio and ask for their simplest brochure ... 1000$ at least. so why should I, providing the photos, get 5 bucks back ?
don't you see you're getting scammed ?
of course microstock is booming ... you're selling at indian or chinese prices to client reselling at premium western prices.
it must be a new Eldorado for them ...
You're welcome to view the stock industry any way that you like, from any perspective that you wish. However, I think that most of us on here are concerned with the bottom line, not how much each sale was to get us there.

every RM agency accepts requests by phone and email.
in the old days that was all they were doing full time. some charge some money for the service, others do it free.
I'm not sure that I understand how that fits into this topic...

In the context of microstock, I'd say you're a noob if you've been at an agency for, say, one year and are still earning an entry-level commission. The only problem that I see with that is that not everyone has the same goals when it comes to microstock. Some are looking to make a full-time income, some are just looking for a few extra bucks. If you're in the second camp then you won't be shooting/uploading as much so your portfolio won't grow as fast or earn as much as someone from the first group. That doesn't mean that the images produced by the second group are lower quality or that they shouldn't be allowed to submit IMHO.

It has been my experience that the CV doesn't have the words I am looking for a lot of the time.

It helps to hear from a buyers perspective. I don't buy so don't know one site from another, but I am curious what there is about iStock's search system keeps you away from them?
It is frustrating because of the extra "did you mean" clicks that it takes to get to get relevant results. Also I don't find what I am looking for because it doesn't allow conceptual keywords.

I'm a "one man band" and I used to buy from StockXpert. Now that they are gone the way of the dinosaur, I shop at Dreamstime. You couldn't pay me to shop at iStock because of their search.

I ran across this article and wondered if it applies to stock video creators. Should I be scared? I've been itching to get into video a bit since I got the 5D Mark II.

I have an 82% acceptance ratio on Fotolia and they are one of my top earners. I guess my style fits with their site. I see other members like on this thread that earn a vast majority of their income on iStock, but that's not the case for me.

Well, it's the first of the month. Here are my earnings percentages for February. IS was helped out by a rare EL. That was my 5th EL since I started there in 2004.

I was asking awhile back about which would be better the D90 or D5000 Both cameras have the same sensor. The only difference is the focus motor being in the body on the D90, which the D5000 does not have. Also the D5000 is a bit smaller and lighter with the removal of the focus motor.

Why would we want to encourage people to see the potential of this business? All that does is create more competition. I would guess that some people are just naturally helpful and enjoy teaching and seeing their students succeed. It seems to me that there are enough "Make money from your snapshots" articles out there that the few microstockers that want to teach/encourage others wouldn't really make that much of a difference.
Every bit makes a difference in some sense. Rationalizing it that way doesn't help the issue.
I was just giving my answer to the question, not endorsing one school of thought or the other.

Good luck with learning lighting! It's a fun process that I'm in the middle of, too.

I love getting the "areas that are too feathered or too rough" rejection when my isolation is done 100% in camera. I would laugh if it didn't make me so mad!

Or the Big 1 decides to pay us all $0.01 per download and we don't have any other options for microstock...

$0.19 on iStock for me, too. I had one yesterday in fact.

I was just giving Leaf a hard time. I was a submitter at Stockxpert from the beginning and just noticed that it was still listed in the big 6 on the right even though the site is gone. I hope that I didn't offend anyone!

Is that Styrofoam? Foam core is a special type of styrofoam used in framing prints. It generally will bend, but not break.
