I don't think it's easy bucks to write keywords. We all know it's the most boring.

What if it's a picture of your donkey?

Then everyone will see your name below the image of the donkey in the album. I wouldn't advice that :)

So, on this website we have 793 pages, and every page contains 10 posts. If you click on "read more" link below any post you will see that every post contains 100-200, and sometimes more pictures packed in .rar files. That's total of more that 1 100 000 images stolen from stock sites. I wander how many buyers use websites like this instead of buying our images. It's strange that someone is able to steal more than 1000 000 unnoticed...

Does it need to be a portrait, or can I upload my shadow?

Ummmm...they say even the illustration is fine, just in JPG format. But I guess it should be a face...

I didn't say we have to ignore them of course.

macrosaur is talking about myself and lisafx saying we were ignoring him. No, no way we should ignore these pirating sites. And I agree, there are likely thousands more, but I'm not going to sit around and do nothing.

Sorry if I was misunderstood. Macrosaur said: "right, so let the leechers steal our photos and thanks for the biscuits."
That's why I said of course we shouldn't ignore them. It wasn't connected with you two girls ignoring macrosaur :)

Just take a look at this. Here we have tons of links to websites that steal and offer for free everything, including stock images. Almost all of them have our images. And that's probably just a tiny fraction in the sea of piratery.

I didn't say we have to ignore them of course. I just said there are so many of them that I'm surprised that we here mention just few of them from time to time. In my opinion there should be done something really big to kill all those websites. If Microsoft, Adobe, and other big companies still didn't manage to stop such big part of the world from stealing their software, it's very enthusiastic of us to think that we can stop them stealing our images.
They are stealing our images from companies that sell our images. So, we are not only ones at loss. Why companies don't do something about it? They lose more than we do according to percentage they take by selling our images.

There are many websites that provide cracked software, copyrighted movies and music for download, stock images, e-books...and everything is free. These websites are widely used by more than a half of the world and I think deleting them from google search is not a real solution. Most people have those website in their bookmarks and they don't use google search to find them. In just few clicks I found this....and I found many more..

I'm worried too about watermark removal, especially because it's possible to make a script to stitch peaces of zoomed image and to download a full size. Now it will be very easy to remove watermarks.
One firefox addon does this with images from Istockphoto. It's made to zoom and stitch full size images on Istock. There is it   https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12958

Here's one I did in Photoshop.  It isn't too hard to create two images to merge together using Camera Raw

Hi Elena,
Many people pointed out the same problem, yet, some of them keep saying that Fotolia's rejections are not insane. I think your rank at FT tells us clearly that something is wrong there,  but what....that's a hard question.

Last time I had several reported sales at Veer was on February 23th. Today is March 23th, so let's wait and see.

I got a friend who does translations. The website maybe doesn't look awesome, but it's simple and functional... so, it really works, and yes, like everywhere, there is a warning about scam, but you know, you never expect it will happen to you. I was checking this person and her company website few times, and it looked OK to me. But I didn't check the TinEye. If I did it before, I would know it's scam. :)
Ok, that is a school of life.

Ok, I'll ake this clear for people who say this is not unethical. First, the website for translation (www.aquarius.net) asks you to upload "your photograph". By registering, you are making your personal profile on aquarius, and not company profile. I think it's unethical to put your full name below someone else's picture on the website that requires YOUR PHOTOGRAPH. Aquarius is not a forum, it's not a blog, it's not a place for people to meet to have fun. For me, it's similar to putting any fake data, like name, address, etc.

The worst thing is I translated several Birth certificates from Russia and Croatia for her, which means, my translation was probably connected with some kind of immigration to US...
I reported the problem to Better Business Bureau of Minnesota.

I called Devinport Global, and I typed Elvira's extension. The answering machine said that it's transfering my call to "Elvira Ruiz", but then no one answered. And it's like that for the whole last week. Also, when I want to reach customer support it says that customer support is not available at the moment, and the moments lasts for days. So I guess whole company is fake. Elvira's profile on aquarius is made in january this year, so I guess they posted documents for translation, and after 30 days when they had to pay they simply disappeared.
This website is well known, and I know people who make money on it. The website is very active. I guess not all agencies can afford to pay translators. It works like eBay. Yo bid for a project.
