Who would you want to become the dominant force in microstock? The nameless, greedy, lying f*cks at Istock/Getty or the honourable Mr Oringer, who publishes his financial accounts every quarter?

F*ck Istock. They gained a position of power and they abused it comprehensively to both contributors and customers alike. Now they are paying for it. Good.
Couldn't agree more.

I guess that youre right!

My name is Igor Masin, I am based in Italy and started with stock photography a few months back.

Here is my portfolio on SS:

http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-591739p1.html

This program has been used by some users on SS and actually its has been them pointing me to this site to let other photographers know about it.
If you have a SS account check the forums, there are 2/3 topics about this program, how it came to life, and comments from people who tested it.
All I want is to share my programming skills to who is interested. There are no viruses or similar things. You can scan it with whatever software you want and use any software to monitor the informations sent in/out from the program.

As I say on the programs homepage I am putting my face into this and cannot afford to put viruses or any malicious software on it.

Sorry if my first post gives a wrong impression.

Thanks for clarifying.  I hope you didn't think that I was being rude but it really would be foolish for anybody to have used this without knowing anything about you.

Who exactly are you?  I don't think that anybody in their right mind will trust a programme from an unknown person. Put up a portfolio link.

I am 50/50 most days.

I was wondering if you would be doing this again.  Will just send some money by paypal. :D

It's going to take me over 20 years to get to the level above emerald!!!!

They helped me to get my port up there when I first joined.  Excellent service.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Istock is hacked?
« on: November 30, 2012, 06:53 »

As a result, this site sounds like some sort of group that is trying harm iStock and resell iStock content without harming its contributors.
That makes sense.  I just couldn't see why they would bother paying money or even making it look as if they were paying money.

Gostwyck, you are on a roll today.  I am finding myself agreeing with everything you're saying.  I've boosted your +1 total by quite a bit.  Gotta stop now before you get a swelled head ;D
Me too, I seem to end up giving hearts to half of his posts.

« on: November 29, 2012, 02:42 »
but I've found the love again for stock work, actually enjoying logging in to see whats happened download wise - rather than the negative feeling of what have they broken now.

You know that really is one of the good things about being independent.  Whatever is happening bad at some of the sites there are usually others that can bring a more optimistic feeling back to you.  It must be  awful being at one site and just watching it spiralling down and down.

Adobe Stock / Re: must submit ID again?
« on: November 29, 2012, 02:35 »
Your files would be online whether you submitted your ID or not.   You don't need ID to upload only to get a payout.  Write to fotolia they are the only ones that can answer you.

I'm actually quite pleased with sales at Canstock.  I added 7 or 8 new sites this year to make up for losses elsewhere and other than Alamy where I love the big sales the only 2 that are producing  a regular payout are Canstock and Deposit photos.  They are both already up with 123rf and BS.  STockfresh, cutcaster, panthermedia, zoonar and GL are having very sporadic sales so I only upload to the ones where it is easy.

« on: November 28, 2012, 15:10 »
this happened to me last month, someone (new, zero images) flagged 'boutique' on my image of a sale tags on rack of women's clothes (in a boutique). I replied politely but firmly.
Zero image flaggers are almost always buyers that have pressed the wrong button.   I think probably 9 out of 10 of my flaggers are buyers.

I will keep my 17% commission but haven't got a chance in hell of reaching 18%

I will still be 17% but not a chance in hell of getting to 18%

Alamy.com / Re: Why are prices not what's shown on the site?
« on: November 28, 2012, 02:35 »
I thought that distributor sales would be shown as such and there's nothing indicating that was the case here. ..
It does say when it is distributor sales and you would know anyway as you get 40% commision instead of 60%

iStockPhoto.com / Re: 8 minutes. Record.
« on: November 27, 2012, 10:00 »
I posted a critical post on the iStock forum.
It took 8 minutes before it was deleted and gone.
What is your record?

Dunno. I've had several posts deleted but I'm not quite sad enough to sit there with a stop-watch recording on-line survival time. You need to get out more __ or maybe restrained and kept in but away from computers. One or the other anyway.
Don't worry, you still got the record ;)
LOL I totally dislike everything about the way the pieman runs the forums but that made me laugh.

Hi Guys.

Just curious of which are the countries that received more downloads of us in SS.

Mines are:

USA
Brazil
Australia
Netherlands
South Africa
Mexico

What about yours?
Where do you find that information without sitting looking at the little map all day?

847
I got in first time years ago but I was already contributing to IS so put up my best sellers.

848
is it normal to put in 3 of your keywords into the search and not see your file come up?
I rarely go to IS  but if I do searches for any reason I have also had that happen.  I'm suprised that they have any buyers left at all it is such a frustrating site.

I stand by my opinions, but regret if I was obnoxious in putting them across....
LOL I think if anybody else had written those posts nobody would have thought anything of it but you are known for your niceness.
Happy  Thanksgiving. :)

If you pay for me to come visit Oslo and see what you have on the table, I'm in.  ::)

I have never heard of Norwegian wood?  oil and fish. Thats what the Norwegians live on and their sole export. :)
