I don't know if you can see it without friending him, but:

No can't see that either. Andrew was definitely one of the nicest of the IS staff.

I'm due my first payout at Alamy but the money seems to already be deducted from my account. Do they send the money automatically once you reach payout like SS do?

Officially on the 1st of the month (or first working day of the month) after you reach the threshold. In practice, sometimes a few days after. But yes, it is automatic.
Thank you, that's a relief.  I was worrying that my account had been hacked somehow.
I'm loving alamy.  25$ rpd for my commissions.   Wish I'd started uploading to them years ago.

If nobody knows the answer try sending 81 and see if the extra one gets there.

I was asking what do you think. Of course I know the number, but I am curious if it's ok. For that I asked you how many dlds do you think my port should have in a month. Nothing more. Only an opinion. A number.
Ah ok I would guess that you would get between 2 and 5 dls a day.

They used to be really quick, within an hour or 2 but lately they can take a day or two.

907
Not sure what you question is.  You are asking how many dls you should expect at ss when you already know the answer as your port is already uploaded there. How many you get is how many you should expect nothing more nothing less. Unless I misunderstand your question.

I don't know how DT do it but I often have several days with little or no sales and then I get a day with lots of sales that makes up for it.  Much better than FT, where I only seem to get days with little or no sales now.
Same here I can have a brilliant day and then the next day make a 10th of the day before.  Most of the other agencies are steady sales but DT is very up and down.  The last couple of weeks have been higher than usual for me though so I am one of the lucky ones.

Istock pay some of the lowest rates when you take thinkstock into account. I'll have to double check when I've got access to to my stats, but I think as an indie I am under 1 dollar rpd on IS/TS counting both sites together as we are forced to upload as if they are one site.
I've just looked at my figures for last month and my RPD at IS/thinkstock was 64c!!!!!!!
This compares to
71c at SS
2.18$ at DT
1.21$ at FT
and I earnt considerably more  at each of these sites than I did at IS.

Has anyone ever had money taken off them at SS for such reasons?

I know I haven't.
N0, but I have at Bigstock. They took 12$ back this month

thats curious, thanks for sharing!

from my 300$  ::) made since April 2009, only have two situations:

August 27, 2012    07:54 AM    [SYSTEM] payable adjustment offset         $-0.21
May 18, 2012    09:50 AM    Commission calculation correction         $0.21
Mine was a [SYSTEM] payable adjustment offset.  Don't even know what that means but thinking about it I seem to remember the same photo selling multiple times at the same time of day a while ago so maybe it was that.
I've just looked at my stats and I've had a total of 19 [SYSTEM] payable adjustment offset  in the last 2 years one of them for 32$ and one positive commission Calculation correction which gave me nearly 6$ in my favour.

« on: November 03, 2012, 15:59 »
The only amounts that really interest me are the amount of money in my account at the end of each month compared to the amount of time put in.  That's what tells me if this is worth doing or not.

Very true but ... that's not going to help the OP decide whether to remain exclusive or not (which was why he started the thread!).
You are right of course.  I forgot how this thread started.

Thanks for clearing that up, I have been missing out on a really useful way of evaluating my keywords!
Yes it's really interesting looking to see what keywords images sell on.
My previous post was incorrect I meant to put 2013 not calendar!

As ShadySue says the keywords for quite a while now are ordered depending on how often they were bought on a search for that word.  Even the calendar one was bought on mostly searches for calendar and christmas.

Okay, search for Christmas using best match, and these files are on the first page (absolutely not a criticism of the quality of the files, so I think I am okay to link?)
Number 1 result, for perhaps the most competitive keyword of the year across all media:
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-10871280-white-sparkles.php?
A very nice abstract background with no direct relevance

Number 4 result:
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-21323212-new-year-2013.php?
A nice 3D render of "2013" with again, nothing directly Christmassy about it

And so on over the next 50 images

ETA
Another couple of very nice, but irrelevant images on page one
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-21578369-decorative-menu-vintage-calligraphy-set.php?
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-7472353-defocused-lights-xxl.php?

The first one has sold over 6000 times and the most searched for keywords are christmas background so it it totally relevant in my opinion.

Strange, I wonder why it is so inconsistent for me.  It is often my best earner above SS even and I always have excellent placement in the searches but it seems to go in waves for me.  Much more than usual ebb and flow on all the other sites.

Dt seems to have the most inconsistent daily sales than any of the other sites.  Last month it looked like being an amazing month by the middle part of the month but ended up just above average for the year.  I get week days where I make 4 times more than other week days.  Yesterday was a great start to the month and I think was probably on of my best days ever for earnings but I'm just waiting now for the spate of low sale days to ruin it.

Glad that you daughter is safe Lisa.  You must have been really worried when you couldn't contact her.

I just heard, here, sighs of delight when Istock started Photo+. It is also a different (Higher) price but it looked that everybody loved it (as I've just re-read in old threadS) . Guess what's the difference is...

This is the real funny thing about indies.  They actively root for the company that pays them less for the work.  It makes no sense.  But then again there is that cheap hooker vs high priced call girl thing.  I know which one I would choose.
Not all of us. I've never liked that fact that SS sell more of my images than anywhere else. I would much rather the sellers go to DT to buy them.

One persons RPI is not the same as someone else's. It based on what you shoot or draw and not how many. Look at the range already with 30+ votes. All the way from 10c to $1 an image. WOW, there's some variation.

And the range could be even bigger as the <10c could be 1c and the more than 1$ could be absolutely any number.  I also don't really understand what use other peoples figures are as you have no idea if you will be in the <10c or over 1$ range.
