I use firefox :D

after uploading a picture and making it for SALE you need to upload a watermark, they dont have one
Ok now i understand but mine will be uploaded with a watermark already on them.

I also use firefox and it is broken for me?

weird but its true, working here, last version of firefox, I dont think you can upload the picture with watermark on it, it wont be cool to sell a pic with it lol I guess you need to upload the watermark itself, you will see what I am saying when you enable your store

p.s: you need upload one with watermark and one without

And do you upload the watermark as a jpeg or a PSD?

both JPG (they need to be at least 3600px along the longest side) I will email them to see if I did it the right way

p.s: the first image you upload will be the one users/buyers/whatever will see which means if you upload with watermark, you will need to upload a second one without it
Good i will wait to see what you hear they haven't emailed me back yet about uploading so i amm still out on that anyhow.

Sounds nice.

what exactly? :D
The site and how it works.

Kinda like FAA but you dont do any pricing it is all set already.

So how do you upload after you have browsed and found a pic?

There is nothing that says upload to click on?

Do you have to do all twenty or what?

Ok here's some recent ones.

Quote
Too many photos/illustrations on the same subject or from the same series. Your submission should not duplicate content already in your portfolio or content which you plan to upload separately in the future (ie. collages based on your images). Please be more selective and choose only the best shots or illustrations. Avoid submitting simple variations on the same subject or duplicating content already in your portfolio (including from collages). You can create sets of similars (several shots included within the same image). That will help the file sell better and generate higher royalties via our level-based system.

Now what can be similar between a V-8 Vega, Plymouth Barracuda, Dodge Challenger and a Plymouth Duster?

Oh yeah that's right they are all cars DUH! (editorial)

And then today i get this.

Quote
- The image contains elements that might be protected by copyright/trademark (logos, brands, specific buildings etc.), can identify a property/product (letters, numbers), or could raise usage problems, therefore it doesn't qualify as a RF stock image. Analyze the photo closely and remove these elements if possible or try to obtain a property release. Read more: http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_148

On a 1957 farm tractor of which i have removed all copyright/trademark ID's the only thing left were what are know as "Block casting numbers" which in no way can be used to identify anything at all, all vehicles manufactured have "Block casting numbers" on the blocks and transmissions it only identifies the factory line which manufactured that piece for the vehicle.

Stupid rejections plain out stupid!

Here's the right thread to be working with SS for missing images:

http://submit.shutterstock.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=114196
Already posted that one.

Today I uploaded some photos, categorised and submitted them, just went into my contributor account and there's no trace of the batch anywhere, to make sure I wasn't going mad I went into my email trash and confirmed I had received the standard "we have received your upload" email.

Cleared my cache, logged out and back in but no sign of today's batch anywhere.

Has anyone else noticed a recent batch of uploads disappearing from your account?
Don't know where you have been for the last year or so but this has been an ongoing discussion!!!!

I still yet haven't been able to figure out why so many people on these forums on this site dont know what is going on where they submit their images???

Do you know where the forums are on SS and do you take the time to read them because if you did you would know all about this!

Here is just one link there are many more and it started way before this link started, this was started by the forumguru because of all the other threads discussing this issue.

How on earth do i insert an image here!? I have a screen grab I can show, but can't figure out how!
Go to a photo sharing website and sign up so you can copy the info from the pic and then you can put it up anywhere you want to.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Can I sell photos of a dog event?
« on: February 18, 2012, 13:02 »
I don't think you can sell shots of a dog that belongs to someone without having a release from the owner.

that would be so absurd..
This has been discussed before and there is  a site that requires a release, cant remember which one though.

Get a release from the owners just to CYA.

You cant hurt the agency because they will be able to survive from all the new people they pick up just like any business will.

They dont care if you walk off or not because they will find someone else to do your job and pay them even less which they will be happy with.

995
Here is a link to a thread on the SS forum he also started a thread here as well.

I am waiting because of reasons that you have stated about giving out usernames and passwords!

Could be a scam but who knows?

Not looking good it has been well over 48 hours and there is still no info as of yet?

Hi Everyone,

I do apologize for the silence. We have reached a decision and confident that we have a plan that can cater for the long term growth of sales and earnings.

We will make the official announcement in a day or two and it will be available on 123RF.com.

I don't come empty handed though:
1. the qualification rule has been lifted, and
2. the date of implementation will be stretched till January 1, 2013, thereafter, we'll use the new commission payout structure.

Further details on the MOTD as you login into the contributor account on 123RF within 48 hours.

Let's keep on rockin'!

Alex.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Photography vs. Illustration
« on: February 14, 2012, 11:27 »
This has been discussed numerous times!

Illustrators sell more but spend more time on making images whereas Photographers make less but spend less time on images.

Also remember at SS designers are being limited because SS doesn't want many more BG's or Fractals because they have so many already.

Of course this may also apply to who you are because there are Photogs who sell very well every month as well as certain designers who sell well as well!

It's all about your style.

No need to worry!

We still have yet to make it past 12/21/12.
