No, it's not that. You posted it three times and ignored my sitemails indicating the article you are linking was from October 31, 2013 and it was in no way related to the Partner Program issues.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that exactly what this discussion is about? A change to the terms of the use of this site? Leaf has indicated why he is looking to test this change in his initial post. I would have to say that it's a valid concern and part of why the majority of the people I talk to about these boards are hesitant to participate.

You can be mad at me for you being banned. I can't say I've always been 100% valid in the bans. However, as mentioned in previous posts, I'm more than reasonable when it comes to reinstatements. If you are of the ilk who WILL NEVER COME BACK well then that's fine too. Why care about being banned from a place you no longer what to participate in.

  Leaf hasn't entered into a contract with me to sell my images, only to unilaterally change that contract because it was "unsustainable".  As for being banned, it's of no consequence and did not enter into the decision to leave IS. The point is that you come here and try to turn this into one of your " let's make a joke about pie and you'll do what I say " threads, and I don't buy it. If anything, your posts reinforce Leaf's point, since by knowing who you are we are well aware of your complete lack of credibility.

Actually I made a joke about cookies, not pies. And the name Pieman was used due to the fact that Lobo was already taken back in January 2008. I'm glad I could participate in the reinforcement of the point Leaf was trying to make. I suspect that was my intent.

Anyhoo, I will leave you all to it. I think this a pretty lively discussion though so I will continue to lurk

Oh, well that makes way more sense. So what do you image those comments mean? It  behooves me to ask as it seems like you are under the impression that due to the comments left by the seller they are in discussion with iS and that we had cleared him to utilize the site in this way.

I can assure you we have a team of people working to get them removed from ISPs as soon as they change up. This latest endeavor isn't something we aren't aware of either.

I can attest to this fact as I have been responsable for the majority of the bans since well before I was a member here. I first opened my account here in 2008 and since then I have been actively lurking, with an occasional post here and there.

Account bans and Forum bans are entirely different things, however, the contributors in these boards are entirely free to say whatever they like. It's been said before... the fact that a company claiming to be the world leader in image distribution has consistently failed, over a period of years, to correctly distribute images between two of their own websites, speaks volumes about how important this issue is (or was) to iStock/Getty.

I wont say it's been a perfect but we've done pretty good transferring between to the two entirely different systems. Technical issues will be less of an issue as soon as both sites work off the same architecture. It's been a long walk, yes, but it was a walk we've had to take. In time we will have less Connector related woes. It might seem like it's a non-issue to us but in reality having a steady flow of content move between the two sites is really important to us.

As I mentioned previously today, we will continue to push for a more reasonable resolution to the backlog of files. It's not a large amount of the content our Exclusives have sent us, in fact it's marginal in volume compared to the amount that has made it to GI. However, it would be great to get everything over pre-Collections changes so we can accommodate the Exclusives that brought their content into the E+ bucket over the last several months.

We are going to see what we can do. Old_lady_bird has been pushing for resolution to the problems with the Connector for months. We hope to be able to convince our friends in Dev that this should be a priority. However, Signatue + will more than likely provide an opportunity for the movement of the files already slotted.

Just for reference, how many files do the people posting actually have waiting to be moved over. Feel free to post in the actual thread in the Exclusive forum BUT if you'd like to show your numbers please do.

I guess that's part of the problem. Everyone wants to make things about me. Well it's about all of us. Yes, this is my account. I'm Lobo on iStock. I'm the horrible monster.

Maybe leaf will let you speak your mind. I can assure you I've read plenty of terrible things in my 11 years with iStock so you won't hurt my feelings. One thing you might consider: swearing and cursing at me might only go towards proving my point as to why you were banned in the first place.

As for the REASONS people are typically banned: it comes down to civility. There are people who seem to have an interesting way of omitting certain facts related to the loss of their privileges. I won't call people out but if you consider the inherent tone present here it might be easier to understand.

These forums have lurkers too. People who would like to participate are hesitant because there is rarely anything constructive going on. It seems to be a catch all for anger and rage. I read these forums everyday. Don't think for a second I don't.

Anyway. Have at it. I'll leave you all now and let you prove me wrong. Thanks for reading. Apologies for any grammar or spelling issue. I'm typing this on my phone.

I've actually added it to my facebook status. Terrific work. I think maybe you should consider a caption contest. I would be more than happy to participate in that.

As for this Banned from iStock Club: I understand. It's easy for you to speak about your experience without also taking into consideration the number of times I have had to contact people, delete posts, try as best as I can to rationalize why it's important for people to remain civil. I'm not perfect. I rise to the bait left out for me occasionally.

These are public forums too. We can all read them. Contributor Relations(who tend to get the worst of the frustration - see the deactivation notice thread you have going), Client Relations(they get the calls that should probably be going to Contributor Relations- no phone support is horrible, I know) and the few buyers who come in to see what is going on here. Everyone sees everything.

Anyhoo, I've already made it clear in the forum restructure thread that anyone who would like to discuss having their privileges reinstated are more than welcome to contact me via site mail on iStock. Clearly, not all of you have site mail either. So I suspect your best bet is via a support ticket.

It's a technical glitch. Payments will stay as they have been over the last 2 years. There will be no change in the payment schedule. It sucks but it will be resolved for Friday Morning.

Sure. If you take in to account that English being a second or maybe even third language for some of our contributors you can expect some lost-in-translation events. However, that doesn't prevent the buyers and contributors who want to engage in the Request forum to get what the need. There are a handful of buyers who are in there quite regular and we are yet to experience any contacts that characterize the forum as a negative experience.

So, I guess because it bugs you it bugs everyone. Anyhoo, like I said in my previous post people engage in the activities the enjoy most. I hope you continue to enjoy yourself

The people who participate seem to enjoy themselves. Frankly, that's part of the point. However, I know lots of people who fuel themselves by hating on random stuff and they seem to enjoy it. So I guess everyone wins

The Request New Image forum concern I'd have to agree with though. However, it's also a source of comedy when you see some of the non-requested images pop up.

I'm going to also let you know that files used in your application approval wont necessarily be approved for your live portfolio. So don't lose heart if the files aren't approved.

Rest assured we have people working on things. Sorry for the trouble, folks. The thread linked above is where everyone is commenting. One thing I will leave with you all is a short list of the errors we have received so far:

1. Uploads Page is unavailable.
2. Detailed Catagories box in the uploads section is not working properly
3. error 4004 (you do not have the correct access level to use this class) while trying to add keywords through DeepMeta.

So, if you are one of the people who have been given a forced day off from uploading at iStock it's probably due to the missing Uploads Page.
