I noticed that too. Old images that never sold are starting to sell and new images sell too. Unfortunately it's just a shift from a group of images to another since I don't see a change on the total number of images sold. Still it's good to see new stuff being sold. I haven't seen that for a while and it is frustrating to add new images daily that aren't sold.

I too do it like gyllens said. Just want to add that I convert the images to sRGB at the end. All the shooting and editing is made in AdobeRGB and before saving to JPG at the end I convert to sRGB. The AdobeRGB color space represents a wider range of colors and sRGB is the standard in the web, devices and printers.

Do you approach modeling agencies to find models for your microstock shoots? I've found very difficult to explain the stock photography concept to them. And when I do, and talk about the model release in the terms that stock agencies request, I always get absurd price quotes to get me a novice model for the photoshoot (last time it was around 1500 usd for 4 hours). What's your experience with this?

And I had 29 "single and other downloads" from the same image on the 14th. Never happened to me before and I'm on Shutterstock since 2008. I thought it was a glitch from the site but so far no one asked for the money back.

And how about:

"Effects--Image has quality issues from digital in-camera effects and/or techniques done in post production"

Recently I started getting some of my images rejected that reason. Since I always post process my images the same way, with basically the same workflow, and this kind of rejections never happened before, was there any change of evaluation criteria that I'm not aware of?

Same here! LOTS of rejections mostly for the images being similar (even vaguely) to other images I have online. But that's not the only reason. Today I had this one too:

"For all nude images (body parts or whole) you must attach a model release + an official ID document of the model (ID card, passport, driver's license)."

The image they are rejecting is the classic "woman holding orange next to her thighs", it's model released and it's a closeup of her thighs and bottom and she's wearing a thong. They want an ID card for this?! Really?!

Got that email too. I wish that they focused on promoting a more positive seller experience. I would be so happy if I could upload to iStock the way I do to every other agency. I don't remember the last time I uploaded to them just because of the pain it is to put the files online.

Apparently DeepMeta is a big help with this.

On the 2nd version I filled some minor gaps of hair where some light kind of could be seen coming from the background. I even added a levels layer and dragged the slider all the way to the right to see if I was missing something on the background but couldn't spot a thing.

Anyways, I think I'll quit fixing and resubmitting images with this kind of rejecting to SS. It's not worth the extra time I spend.

Lately I've been having rejections for bad isolated images, although I'm pretty sure they are well isolated. They are accepted everywhere, as always, so this is only a SS issue I'm having. I even tried to fix some irrelevant details that I think could have displeased the reviewer and resubmitted the images again with a note but it gets rejected again. Anyone had this problem recently?

I don't know if it's related but this started happening when I started submiting 24mp images (from the D800) instead of 12mp images (from the D90).

Probably the guy is trying to get is hobby to the next level and see how things are when you are shooting a live performance and doing it for free is the easy way to get the job (from you). And he has the D800 because he can, and probably has expensive glass also and that has nothing to do with that job. He just has it because he can. But like others have said, there will be times when he won't be available. A 200k job isn't something you just do from 9 to 5. There will be times when he will be in Bora Bora on vacations with a dancer and there will be times when he will be trying to improve his personal best in Nürburgring with his beloved 911. By then the club will call you back.
