The moment I found out, I replied in the comment area asking him to take off the photo, he never did. Therefore, I sent an email and a letter to Yahoo.com and they never responded. My image is still under his name. I don't think there is much you can do unfortunately unless you have some sort of copyright and that you can legally ask him to take it off.

Hmmm, thats odd. Beginning of this year, I caught a user off a social site I was using, Photography-Network, steal about 20 of my photos and numerous photos from other users and post them on flicker.

I posted comments in each of tthe photos calling him a thief and placed links to my photos, wrote my site whick deleted his accout. THan I files a complaint on Flickr, there was a link available for copyright issues leading to thier legal dept. and gave them all the links to prove it. THe images were removed.

THan I followed up where he lived and posted .

II have since found him on flickr again, but, he is keeping it clean.

Funny, this month I am getting more dls than usual. Even mix of JIU and StockXpert for that part.

Either party may terminate the contract with regard to the entire content or with regard to individual pieces of content, upon 6 months' notice with effect as of the end of a month. Article 8.2. Just to make sure, is this meaning that I would have to give 6 monthes notice before I could remove photos, should I wish?

I think this whole thing now is appalling and has turned into an inquisition.

BTW, I am also a new member, having only been here for about 2 or 3 monthes, so I guess my comments will amount to nothing per some members here...

That was a quick review, congrats. As Seb wrote in one of his forums there, they are quite saturated and concentrating on Xmas stock more than anything else.

As for size, cannot explain, but, I am sure you know, reviewers can make mistakes too.

To qualify my statement...I should add without permission from the Thunderbirds. Not at all, it's not damaging to converse with the officer and offering id's and explaining what you do.

It's diffusing a situation and building a sense of trust and cooperation. More times than not, the officers wil continue on their beat and leave you be.

Remember, this photographer had a hidden camera, which, I doubt he takes with him every time he does a shoot. So, my belief was more the fact he was out for provokation and confrontation.

If you are polite and agreable with people, than, more than likely, they will be polite and agreable with you.

Thus, less agravation and you're able to continue on with your shoot.

Personally, I think the photographer should have explained what he was shooting. In acting evasive, he obvously arouses suspicion.

I have done soots in sensitive ares, metro, airports, hydro facilites. On most occasions, I am approached by a security officer, which is normal.

I answer their questions and even offer my id's.  I have never been detained, nor, ejected from a place.

This photographer was obviously looking to cause a problem by refusing to respect the situation more than anything else and it does not help other photographers in the future.

Numerous artists were demanding portfolios and accounts be closed.

There's another question to ask.

Figure at .50 they keep per image, cost of operation, lines, servers, isp, bandwidth, and dare I say, someone might want to make a profit somewhere.

Will they survive with the overhead.

Too many microstock sites trying to start up and try to get a piece of the action. Personally, I think there should be less.

I would think you may want to check out other anomolies on your site. Like photos from Fotolio being credited to wrong photographers.

I seriously wonder, given the large differences in experiences that people have with FT, whether some accounts are marked as "pass", and others "fail".

I just ran a small test over the last 10 days. I submitted the same 5 photos to all the top agencies. Here were the results:

123: 4 of 5 accepted
BigStock: 5 of 5 accepted
DT: 5 of 5 accepted
FT: 0 of 5 accepted
IS: 5 of 5 accepted
SS: 5 of 5 accepted
StockXpert: 5 of 5 accepted

For 123, the one rejection was "lighting/composition".

For FT, all 5 rejections were for "quality of photo".

It's been my experience, and thus my question for FT, that there is a disconnect between FT reviewers and the rest of the stock sites. My acceptance ratio is 80%-95% on all other sites, but is well below 50% on FT. Are FT's standards so much greater than all the other sites? I don't think so, since I'm sure if I re-submitted those 5 images enough times (which I definitely will not bother doing), eventually they would all get accepted.

So my question, re-phrased, is that something in the review process is broken at FT, and are they going to fix it or not?

I have a similar problem with FT.

At times, I sit here thinking screw it. Are they worth the trouble.

Of the big 6, they are my second lowest.

My acceptance ratio there is about 25%.

Thank god for SS, sales this month have already doubled for me.. BME

While happy with the Big 6, I have seen more trouble than anything else with sites like Albumo, Calalog Images, Scanstockphoto and Pixmac.

Funny indeed. Reminds me of Crestock this last summer.

I sent them 10 images, i believe for review. 1st time there.

Funniest part, the images the rejected are some of my best sellers on other sites.
