Do travel images sell on PicFair? I just subscribed with them and uploaded some 100 images.

You think to become a milionaire with other photographic agencies?
You can if you have a stunning 4-digit portfolio probably but if you have only few pics you won't sale anything in any agency.
Anyway, if you don't sale you are not a good photographer ;-)

Probably they are not good photographers or they uploaded few dozens of photos so far and pretend to sale them after 2 minutes!
If you carefully see what a photographic agency wants and sells before complaining, you will discover that selling pics is not the most difficult job in the world!

I don't think it's an inflight magazine as usually they name the airline's country: for example, I sold a photo for LAN and the country, in fact, was Chile, though LAN is flying in many countries.

Depends from what sale you made. British papers' sales are paid normally 2 to 3 months later Alamy noticed a sale on your account.
In April I discovered a photo of mine published on a website and sold through Alamy. A couple of months later, I wrote an email to members service asking for when it would have been paid and still today Alamy doesn't know when!

Made this sale today. Any clue which magazine can be?

Unfortunately, it is normal to have photos sold and then refunded one month later. It happened to me once with a photo refunded. Other times, instead, photo was refunded and then immediately re-purchased again by the same customer for the same amount of money. Once, I experienced a refund of a photo of mine which few weeks later was bought by the same client but for an inferior amount of money!

In my first year on AGE Fotostock I was not able to sale any photo, then sales came out regularly. My current portfolio on AGE is about 600 pics.

No, you just upload to Getty just the photos on Flickr you are interested to put on sale. Occasionally, you may receive an email from Getty where they ask for a photo of yours they noticed on your Flickr collection, even if you haven't sent to them. You may accept or refuse to give it to them.

In my case, I upload photos for being selected by Getty in a low resolution version and with watermark. If they select it, I upload the high-resolution version directly in their website.

I have applied to Getty a couple of years ago by submitting a link to my portfolio and, 3 months later, they replied suggesting to participate to their flickr collection by submitting a wider portfolio. I did and 2 weeks later I passed successfully their test. Once you are in Flickr collection, you can upload till 100 photos per month for being reviewed and Getty decides which are the most appealing to be sold. Getty selects the single photo and decide if it has to be sold as RM or RF (or the miserable RF Flickr open in terms of money you get if sold!  ). You don't have the right to select how your photos can be put on sale. Also, they provide the sngle keywords for every image accepted (which is not bad in this case  ). You can always suggest more keywords to add anyway. Differently from Alamy, if your submitted photo contains one or more individuals, Getty is asking you for MR otherwise the photo is not accepted.

Well, I  have photos on sale on both Getty and Alamy. In terms of number of photos sold related to the amount of photos on sale, Getty wins on Alamy.

Submit more photos in order to increase your chances for new sales.
In average, there is one sale monthly every 1,000 images.

Occasionally, I make sales via distributor agents for Alamy. One of several sales I made this month turned to be a ridicolous amount for an Italian website:
